Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips Gel Creamliner - Brown Eyes

I have has this trio for more than 6 months and despite its plastic packaging, it has not dried out on me! I bought this on a whim at an Ulta after asking the SA for a good gel liner that doesn't dry out and has a creamy texture (similar to bobbi brown). The SA recommended me this and studio gear. I gave this a go since she was wearing it and i thought it looked nice. And for $10 you get 3 colors! I have to admit I wear the black the most. I rarely touch the brown and the purple, i think I've tried once for the heck of it. the brown is alright, the purple leaves much to be desired. the black isn't even a jet black but it gets the job done. it actually has subtle purple shimmers in it that are barely noticeable (good cause I just wanted black anyway) which is why I feel it's isn't a true jet dark black. But as I said, it gets the job done. The stacking cube packaging is alright, I don't mind it but I'm not crazy about it either. I would honestly repurchase this product, but what am I going to do with all the extra purple and brown ones??? Throwing them away is such a waste to say the least. I already tried giving them away to my 13 year old nieces...they aren't into colored liner. I wish that PF would consider selling them as singles and not in the trio. I'm going to enjoying it until I run out and then I'm looking for something else. At least I know about this in case I don't find anything else I like better.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 5 of 5
DivineL 3/11/2012 7:15:00 PM

I have been using my Clarisonic Mia for almost 3 months. I bought as a graduation gift to myself. I have suffered with an oily T-zone and blackheads my whole life. I bought this in hopes that my congested pores will diminish. At the time of purchase I was deciding between the Mia and the Mia2. Eventually I went with the Mia because most reviews on it said 1 speed was enough. When I first used it, I didn't immediately notice an improvement. I would also say the first 3 weeks of using it I was on the fence about it. Finally, I realized there WAS a difference in my skin. It was smoother and cleaner. I came accustomed to using it every night and some mornings. I played around with different cleansers and found I really enjoy using it with a foaming cleanser. I use a few different kinds depending on my need at that moment. I use Clean&Clear sensitive skin wash (basic cleanser), Neutrogena Naturals Purifying facial cleanser (using this everyday can be drying), and Neutrogena Fresh Cleansing + Makeup remover (is more emollient than the other ones) . As far as my blackheads are concerned, I still have them. They is some improvement but they are still there. My oily T-zone, has diminished however it is the winter months and I wonder if that's a main factor. In the mean time, I will continue to use it and am thinking about trying the deep pore cleansing brush head next. (currently using sensitive brush head)

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil Free Moisture - SPF 15
rated 4 of 5

been using this for a week. i wasn't sure if i should have gotten the one made of combo skin, or sensitive cuz i'm both. but i wanted spf so i got this one. i like everything about it. the texture isn't too thick like purpose but not as a slimey with a tacky finish like garnier moisture rescue light lotion. i doesn't make me more oily and it goes under my mineral makeup well. i haven't gotten any breakouts from this so far so i'm happy about that. i'm hanging on the the receipt in case i need to return this as i did with the garnier. money is tight i'm replacing many of my higher end stuff with ds. this works for me right now and i'm happy. 4 lippies i'm not 100% sold on it yet.

this stuff made me breakout and made me super oily! the smell wasn't overwhelming for me. but i guess fragrance adds more stuff in the mix that goes on your face. i switch to neutrogena oil-free moisure with spf 15 and like it so far.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 5 of 5
DivineL 9/6/2010 7:20:00 PM

i heard about TFSI and had to try it. best primer i have ever owned and used! this primer holds up and it doesn't make my shadows ruddy (like UDPP did with my BE shadows). it works well with all my shadows that i own! bottomline is that this works! tip: product made separate a little so you have to shake it up. what i do is i hold the cap end and hit the tube on my palm a few times, holding the tube pointing down and then pointing up. and i use a small bead on each eye, maybe like 2-3mm in diameter.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

i was using collasal up until this came out. i thought i'd give it try since i felt that collasal was failing on me. i was skeptical at first about the brush but it turns out i really, really like the brush! it's very similar to collasal for me but i'm not going for the false eyelash look with this ms. it give me good even volume with no clumps and lasts all day! i apply with the flat or spoon side and then use the longer bristles on the edges to comb my lashes out and BAM! even coat, volume, holds the curl! i love the color of the packaging as well...i'm very happy with this ms and plan on rebuy when the time comes.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Matte shadow
rated 4 of 5
DivineL 9/4/2010 1:30:00 PM

originally i bought the naked palette. i love nuetrals but they are hard to shop for since a lot of browns are orange-y. i much rather prefer taupes. i knew there was a lot of buzz around this palette but i got lucky when i went to sephora and asked about it. i bought 2!!! one for me and one for my BFF. later that night i went home and tried out different color combo's and such. i tried naked and sidecar togehter first. LOVED it..except for the glitter in sidecar. did some other looks with other colors in the palette. and decided for $44 (which i truly believe is a steal) was too much for only really liking "naked." i decided to return it and check out the permanent colors. to my surprise and excitement..naked is a permanant color! so i go it and deluxe es in underground. the 2 together is perfectly what i was looking for! i took 1 lippie off for price but i love everything about the product itself!!!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Underground
rated 4 of 5
DivineL 9/4/2010 1:23:00 PM

okay so, this is my first time trying UD other than UDPP (which i have switched to TFSI and like better). i was so stoked to have found this shade in which i LOVE! it's the perfect neutral for me. i wear this with "naked" matte shadow in the crease and underground on the lid. i almost bought deluxe es in ruthless instead of this but at the last moment i decided on this one bec it's a tad deeper on the color spectrum. "ruthless" is a pretty color i may pick up later but for now i am very happy in my new color combo from UD. btw i have worn this color combo on my lids for 2 days, and both days i got compliments from the most unexpected people in my life. 1. my friend who is sort of tom-boyish, 2. my son's 2nd grade teacher sorta blurted it out and looked shocked at herself for paying me such a nice compliment. i took 1 lippe off for the price. i actually really like the packaging of these, once the product is all gone, i will have a mini compact mirror to use!

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Teal
rated 2 of 5

i got this on sale for $5. if it weren't $5 i wouldn't have bought it. i found this liner to be dry and it FLAKED! the color is also very flat..i wish it have a slight sheen or metallic in it. i won't repurchase even if i find it for $5 again. i will stick with BB and mac.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
rated 2 of 5
DivineL 4/18/2010 5:54:00 PM

i have the grey color. i'm giving this product a 2/5 mainly cuz it's affordable. personally i prefer BB or MAC over this but it's just so cheap! well, you get what you pay for. it works fine if you don't know any better, but in my case, i DO know better. i got this at the walmart price of $6.50. i like that it's packaged in a glass jar. i don't care for the brush but it's nice that it comes with one. the main reason why i don't prefer this to the higher end brands it the texture and consistency of the liner. it's thicker, has a dry consistency, and it's sticky! i find that after applying the liner and then curling my lashes the product has stuck/flaked off onto my lash curler. that means that i have to reapply liner before mascara and it wastes my time in the morning. wearing and staying power is fine, but texture and consistency is not up to par. a good place to start out if money's an issue but i think there are better (and cheaper) drugstore gel liners out there.

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition mascara
rated 5 of 5
DivineL 9/12/2009 9:38:00 PM

best BE mascara they carry!! also, best non-wp mascara i have EVER tried. it lengthens and thicken's slightly, pigmented, holds a curl, easily removes, excellent formula, sleek packaging. i am a fan, only i didn't buy it, i only have a deluxe sample. i don't know about paying $18 for this, although i'm very impressed. i'm currently using maybelline the collossal, and i really like it. the looks between the two are pretty different. my only complaint about flawless def would be that the bristles on the tip are kinda short and product tends to gather there so...my fine inner eyelashes are bombarded with product which is easily dealt with. but that is the only negative thing i can find in this mascara.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof
rated 5 of 5
DivineL 9/12/2009 9:31:00 PM

i gave this a shot because some MUAers rec'd this when i complained about voluminous (at first no volume, then second use clump-o-rama). previously, i was using MF 2000 calorie, an old fav. but decided to look for something better. i find that wp always holds a curl. so i get this and when i tried it the first time i was in love! i love the brush, i love that fact that the first use was perfect, unlike other mascaras where you kinda have to wait for the product to thicken up. i really like the brush...i like this out of all the maybelline mascaras. i have tried many from the volum' express line, and they have always failed to do anything right. this is the only one from that catagory that is good. i can't believe that i waited this long to try it! it removes easy with eye mu remover (currently using walmart's version of neutrogena dual) yet it does not smudge or flake. i'm talking 8+ hours of wear. i don't mind the packaging...i'm a lil bummed that the non-wp is purple and yellow, bec i have wp, which is turquoise and yellow. i will rebuy this again, when the time comes.

Moisturizers -Bare Escentuals - Rare Minerals Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
DivineL 5/7/2009 11:41:00 PM

i gave this product 4 lippies because it doesn't have spf built in. i do use BE MMU and this moisturizer works well under it. as for other benefits other than moisture, i haven't really noticed any reduced pore size or anything, but i'm not really looking for that in this product.
btw, this bottle is vacuum sealed!!! so don't try to open it, it can open. i did this not knowing. i emailed BE and they told me that it was vacuumed sealed so that we could get every last drop. that is a plus, however i still wished that it was a little more eco-friendly in the packaging dept.
$28 is pricey. i'm still on the first bottle, and been using it for 3 months, most of the time in the am & pm. so really it has lasted. i already have a back up and don't plan on looking for an alternative anytime soon. this is the priciest facial moisturizer i have ever purchased. i usually stick to drug store brands for daytime moisturizers with spf. but i couldn't resist this one. i did notice one thing though...my blemishes heal faster every since i started using this. (i breakout from stress and for hormonal reasons.)

Mascara -Cover Girl - Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara
rated 3 of 5
DivineL 3/18/2009 5:45:00 PM

i used to use this ages ago, when i was 14-15 years old. i remember really liking it. i purchased this recently using my brother's employee's discount, so it was pretty cheap, even more so then the d/s store price. no it's not really waterproof, which i usually used. but i do like that it's not so tough to get off, on my not-so-busy days, it easy to get off. so i don't mind it too much, however, it takes the curl out quite a bit...but lengthening and volumizing effects are okay...not really bad. overall it's not my everyday mascara, b/c i need a true waterproof one...will use up and probably not repurchase.

Eyeliner -New York Color - Waterproof in Teal
rated 5 of 5
DivineL 2/23/2009 8:08:00 PM

i LOVE this color!!! i have been using BE azure glimmer e/s as my bottom liner. but this is so much more convenient in pencil form. the very outer corners smudge and wash away, bec i have very watery eyes, but even then you can't beat this pencil. i also have this pencil in black, blue and dark brown. i used the teal one this past weekend for going out, it lasted, and in the morn (i didn't wash face, i know, bad me) it looked even better all smudged, like an e/s on my bottom lash line. that gave me an idea for how to wear it next time. btw, i wore, purple, and grey e/s with this on the bottom lash line, i like to wear teal on the bottom with most any e/s combo i wear. it just adds a special ooomph and flair.
