Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
DistortedDaytime 1/17/2012 11:05:00 PM
This lip balm works wonders! After application, my lips are instantly so soft and hydrated... And it doesn't feel sticky at all! The smell is really nice too, but the taste isn't too bad. It might take a little getting used to hehe! I carry this everywhere with me. Everyone has got to have one of these!
I like to use this product when I'm giving my cilents - which my salon calls it - the 'glamour blow-wave' (which has heaps of volume and the ends are wavy). Before I apply this to the hair, I usually mix it with Paul Mitchell's Quick Slip to make the hair even more soft and manageable. The Round Trip will make curls more defined and it will hold the curls without any stiffness :)

I absolutely love this product! I cannot go without it! After wetting my cilent's hair down, I apply this all over the hair before I start doing a haircut. It leaves the hair very soft and tangle free :) I ALWAYS use this product to do blow-waves because it makes blow-drying so much easier and it makes the hair soft and shiny as a result. I love this product so much, I even bought some for myself to use at home :D!
I love it!!! The packaging = epic win. Its in a glass bottle with a pump - which, in my opinion, all liquid foundations should be packaged in. Anyways, I'd say the coverage is medium to heavy. It covered my blemishes in seconds! However, its quite oily. (so I don't recommend this to those with oily skin AT ALL) But applying translucent powder afterwards and using a blotting paper regularly during the day should solve this. The problem is right now, is that I've got the wrong shade, LOL. When I tested it on the back of my hand, I thought it was going to be the perfect shade! But I was wrong :( Apparently, Natural Beige (Medium 2.5) is too light for me... I think I've tanned because its summer right now in Australia. I'd definitely repurchase anyday! But I have to make sure I get the right shade, haha :P
I got this free with one of my favourite magazines and I always wanted to try this mascara, but it was a lucky coincidence that I got it for free!! Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations... It gave me length but no volume. Even with just a few coats, my lashes look like spider legs... A real let down :(
Wow, in just 3 days my skin was soft just like those other products I used to buy that would normally take a week or two till I see a difference in my skin. I absolutely love the cleanser! However the toner does sting a bit and the smell is quite strong, but my skin isn't dull anymore because of it :) The moisturizer smells quite nice and I love the fact that I wake up every morning with clear, soft skin!! I would definitely re-purchase! This is my HG 3 step system for my face :D!
Tinted Moisturizer -Nivea - Visage Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser
DistortedDaytime 8/29/2009 5:16:00 AM
Pros: - It matches my skintone during spring or summer - Not oily - Somewhat provides light to medium coverage Cons: - It makes me look older :|...? - Did not even out my skintone - Did not moisturize - It flakes a bit So basically, it's just some cheap foundation to me rather than a moisturizer. Won't re-purchase~
Who'd thought something that actually works was sitting in my kitchen the whole time..? I've been wasting my money on products that take forever to work (or they don't even work at all)! I use sea salt as a mask, toner and exfoliator. I don't have acne but I do have a few pimplies and just using sea salt mask for the first time, the redness has disappeared and it left my skin oil-free and feeling soft as well as tightening it. Yes, it does sting. But for me, it stings the most on the first use. After that it just tingles a little then stops. If it stings, it works. Lol. Just to clarify; table salt don't work as well as sea salt and just like 'Lapiz' said, it's because table salt are stripped from minerals. So, it won't be effective. I highly recommended it and I'll continue to use sea salt to help my pimples go away :D
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Shine Gelee - #101 Shiny Grapefruit
DistortedDaytime 7/9/2009 6:57:00 AM
I actually had a sample of this product inside one of my favourite magazines and the sample was for this shade: #101 Shiny Grapefruit. I gotta say, the smell is lovely and I have to agree with the review below. You need to reapply this everytime. But the colour is beautiful too. Who'd thought this colour would suit my skin tone?! I always go for nude look, haha. L'Oreal says, 'The 1st nourishing lip jelly: Nourishes like a balm, shines like a gloss'. Too right. I like the fact that it takes care of lips as well as giving you beautiful shiny lips. Well done L'Oreal! I'd definitely go and purchase this the next time I go shopping :)!
Liquid -Revlon - Vital Radiance Line Softening Makeup SPF 15 Rehydrating
DistortedDaytime 6/24/2009 3:47:00 AM
I bought this for only AUD$10 because it was on sale and I got mine in number 30 Shell / Cool. I gotta say, this is the only drug store foundation that doesn't make my skin shiny. Instead, it gave me the matte look which is what I was hoping for. I think this foundation works differently to different skin types and I have combo skin and my t-zone doesn't seem to be shiny/oily at all~ I'm only giving this 4 lippies because I've got the wrong shade [because I wasn't allowed to test it]. This shade makes my skin look kind of pinkish - like all drug store foundations do... Overall, good foundation, good price and good packaging. I'd probably buy another one but this time, with the correct shade x]
I use this product everytime I blow dry my hair and yes, using too much of the product could weigh your hair down. It leaves my hair silky soft without any frizz at all~ The smell is incredible and I'd love to buy this product again :] I'm only giving this 4 lippies because I haven't tried this will a flat iron. I'll review this again once I done that~
Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
DistortedDaytime 6/19/2009 7:31:00 AM
This is the answer to my many years of bleaching my poor hair. Here's why. A professional stylist recommended this to me because my hair tends to break or fall at certain times in a whole bunch (which left my hair a little shorter and thinner =|..) and I needed a shampoo that will restore the protein that was lost when I was bleaching my hair. Also, I bought this for AUD$49.95 at a sale price (RRP: AUD$99.95) with a pack of 4 products: K-Pak shampoo, conditioner, smoothing balm & intense hydrator. So I thought, 'Why not give this a try?'. So I did. Just after ONE wash - usually there would be a bunch of hair falling out - but only ONE, that's right, ONE strand fell out. Man, I thought I was dreaming... but I wasn't, thankfully! The smell isn't bad either :) Would I buy this product again? Yes sir! I don't care how much I have to spend for this product because at least I know my hair isn't going to die.
I have short, straight asian eye lashes and I bought this product to see if I could change the length and thickness of my lashes. Before using this product, my lashes were.. let's just say, 0.7cm?! After using this product for 2 weeks, my lashes grew to 1cm! I can definitely see an improvement with the length as well as the thickness. Also, my lower lashes grew to 0.7 to 0.8cm! When I used my favourite mascara on my 'new' lashes, I almost looked like a doll because my lashes were so long! I'm only giving it 4 lippies because I'm trying to use this for a month. I'll review this again when I accomplish that. Overall, a very good product and I'd be glad to buy this again :D!
The quality of this product is well above the price! Ladies and gents, if you are going to choose a black nail polish, choose Raven from Zoya! I'm not even using top coat for it because it's so shiny and it doesn't chip! I'm definitely buying this again :D
It's a nice toner~ I love the scent and the packaging. It doesn't dry up me skin and it's pretty gentle. Although, I wouldn't buy this product again because of the price and nothing has changed (my skin) unfortunately :(...
