Love, love, love this set! I agree with the poster below me that the colors here (charcoal and dull black) are not too intense so you can apply them and not look puzzled or angry even when you are smiling or something (you know what I mean) :). Anyway, I had heard powder was more realistic for pro-eyebrows and hesitated to get some- no I don't know why. Get this kit and start becoming one of those girls with the glamorous well shaped brows. The wax makes em shiny and is soft so go easy with it. This is now an HG in my kit.
I love, love, love Kiehls products in general and I got samples of this peel many times before I finally bit the bullet and bought it. I apply 2-3 pumps and rub it in to wash off with a warm cloth in the morning. In return I have bright, clear, plump skin. No harsh peeling because the ingredients seem to act less dramatically than other peels. I would even go as far as to say that you can use this the day OF an event and not have the crazy redness of say microdermabrasion. Staple product in my skin care routine. AA ladies or ladies with dark skin scarring fade your blemishes a little here too.
I love, love, love this color! I am the color of a bright copper penny (African American) and so often I have trouble finding anything but a light colored brown that shows on me-but this one is great. Highly, highly pigmented and a very interesting color reddish-brown. Remember the "Indian crayon" from the big box of 81 Crayolas? Yeah, well that's this color. I got a make-up palette from MAC and this and Carbon are the only ones that standout from other lines :( This is one is a must have ladies!
Looking at all of the reviews here and on YouTube I had to try this product. I have to tell you I was encouraged by the comment that the product has red under tones- because usually because foundations tend to be yellow on me. I am a M.A.C. NW47 and don't really have any blemishes. I just needed light coverage to even out my skin tone. I bought this product at Target for $10.09 (in California). So the verdict is: breathable, smooth even coverage, that does not budge. I do detect a slight bit of "ashyness" undertone- but my skin looks so smooth that I am willing to overlook it annnnnd I might try adding some Fix+ . I think I might end up looking at MAC's foundation and doing a comparison, but this would do in a pinch.
Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 88 colors warm palette

I am African American and this is my go-to pallet for eyes. I even use it more than my 12 shadows M.A.C pallet. I had heard from other dark skinned ladies, on other boards, that they did not like these colors but I think they are just right for us because so often make-up lines fail to help ethnic woman find products to do a neutral look. These show up well on our skin and have minimal fallout (I always use a primer and set with loose powder). I even prefer this pallet over my CS 88 Shimmer pallet which I definetly will not buy again. The warm pallet however will be in my make-up kit until they stop making them :)
