I was looking for a sheer/light foundation just to polish up my complexion when needed. My skin is clear and has minor issues so this works great for me. If you have problematic skin though, I would advise to stay away. I have only used this on my face and love it so far. The consistency is runny and it applies best using a regular foundation brush (like a paddle) to "paint" it on. The finish is natural and it makes your skin look airbrushed. I love the fact that it doesn't feel heavy and doesn't look like you caked up your face with product. Just a little goes a long way and with the size of the bottle, I would definitely say it's worth the price. I have not tested it out in water so I can't comment on its waterproof properties. All in all, if you're looking for a light sheer foundation, this is a great value for the price. The shade range is a little more limited than other MAC foundations but I had no problem finding a match. I'm a NC37-NC40 (128 in MUFE HD) and I can wear both C4 and C5 shades.
I was looking for a blush to give me a bronzy glow after coming back from vacation because my regular blush (NARS Luster) was too light with my tan. This blush gives you a nice glow without being too orange or brown. The undertone is a nice rosey bronze with a touch of gold shimmer. It really gives a fresh sunkissed glow and the formula is great - Not too glittery and it applies smoothly. This will definitely be a go-to blush for the summer and I highly recommend it if you're tanned (NC37-NC42).
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

So let's start with the basics when it comes to foundation. In order to truly be able to review a product in all its aspects, you must find a correct match. I was initially matched as a 140 which seemed too light. Then a 153 (which I bought) and was too orange. Needless to say I was turned off by this stuff until I saw somewhere that girls with similar skintones to mine were watched as shade 128. DING DING DING! We have a winner! Having tried numerous drugstore AND higher end brand foundations, I had almost given up on finding a perfect skin tone match - that is until I found this stuff. The first pro is that it matches and blends seamlessly to my skin. It offers a medium-full coverage that doesn't feel heavy or cakey on my skin (this says a lot since I usually just wear MSFN). The foundation does have to be set, I use MSFN and it gives a nice natural finish that lasts throughout the day without having to re-touch. The foundation also photographs terrifically and doesn't give off a white cast. This has definitely become an HG product, and if you can find the perfect match - I say go for it!
For reference, I got matched to shade Barcelona and I'm a 128 in MUFE HD and NC37ish in MAC. Although it was tad light for me (it would be perfect for the winter months), I could still pull it off and it gave my skin a nice look and feel. The great thing about it was that I could wear it and not have to worry about setting it with powder and it would stay on nicely all day and didn't feel heavy on my skin (I usually just wear MSFN instead of liquid). The finish is pretty, not super dewy like one would imagine but more of a nearly matte natural finish. If you have oily skin I would stay away because this may not be mattifying enough. The only downfall is that after a few days of using this foundation in a row (no changes in skincare or anything else), my usually clear complexion started getting bumpy. Please note that my skin isn't considered to be sensitive or anything. I didn't get pimples but my skin had reacted to the foundation somehow and I now had tiny bumps on my face (mainly in the cheek area). Once I stopped using it, they magically disappeared. So although I really wanted to LOVE this stuff, it just doesn't agree with my skin. Would I purchase again? No. :(
This was the first blush that I've purchased and I still love it to this day. It's a sheertone so the color is somewhat sheer to give a natural flush but can be layered to create more intensity. It looks really bright in the pan but creates a nice natural glow to your face. It is universally flattering and although it is matte, it isn't too powdery and blends well. This is the perfect blush for beginners or people who aren't into blushes as it goes with everything!
This is another one of the universally flattering blushes by MAC. It's a nice bright pink (think more on the magenta side of things) that gives cheeks a nice rosey color. It's especially flattering on medium-dark skintones but looks great applied light handedly on fair skin too! Great pigmentation, texture, and just a bit of shimmer that isn't noticeable on the cheek. If you don't have Dollymix yet, go sample this now!!!
This is one of my favorite blushes. I usually pari this with a neutral eye or gold looks. It gives the skin a bronze glow without being too orange or brown. This looks especially pretty on olive/tanned skintones. This blush isn't powdery and has a nice subtle shimmer with great payoff. I would check this out, it's the perfect summer cheek!
This is one of my favorite blushes. It is pinky coral and looks lovely on tanned skin tones. I'm not sure if this has glitter in the pan but it shows up matte on my skin. It gives that pretty glow without being too pink. It blends nicely and has great pigmentation - so if you're on the fair side be light handed! This would suit anyone beautifully. Definitely a must-have color!
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]

So Revlon has really been impressing me with their packaging lately. Everything from the tube to the embossed REVLON in the lipstick scream high end at an affordable price. I was iffy about trying this lipstick on given my tanned complexion but this stuff has enough pink in it so I don't look like death (*cough*Myth anyone?*cough*). It is really pretty on its own but rather light, which is why I like to pair it with a gloss. The consistency is nice and creamy and didn't dry out my lips. Very nice, definitely looking into purchasing more of their Color Burst lippies!
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Whisper 130 (LE)

Love the packaging, love the consistency, love the color. I bought this expecting a sheer color that barely shows up on my pigmented lips but low and behold - this stuff has great pigmentation! The scent is odd in my opinion but it's worth it because everything else gets an A+ from me. If you're looking for a nice cool toned, not sticky, pigmented baby pink gloss, this is it!
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Life's a Peach [DISCONTINUED]
DeeVine1217 8/16/2010 4:01:00 PM
So just by looking at the packaging this stuff looks high end. The color is a pretty goldy peach that has a bit of pink reflects in it - I'd say it's multi-facseted. It goes on lovely and doesn't have a sticky consistency at all. The only think I don't care for is the scent - kinda reminds me of Dr Pepper. I would recommend this lipgloss to anyone with warm undertones, especially us tanned girls.

One sentence: Dupe for Viva Glam Gaga This stuff looks exactly like the covetted MAC lipstick. It's really pigmented and has a nice finish.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Heat Defence Styling Spray
DeeVine1217 7/27/2010 11:53:00 AM
This stuff makes my hair feel sticky and almost crunchy after I sprayed this in. It smells nice but even after I've blow dried my hair, my hair just feels like it has product in it. It doesn't look as shiny and soft as it would with other heat protectant products.
This stuff smells really perfumy (flowery) so if you're not into that - stay away! I can't really tell how well it works but one of the things I like about this stuff is that it doesn't give your hair a sticky/almost crunchy texture once it is sprayed in. I've used this when curling my hair as well and I found it to help hold the curl.
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Morrocan Oil - Moisture Repair Shampoo
DeeVine1217 7/26/2010 12:03:00 PM
OMG HG shampoo for life! First off, this stuff smells AMAAAAZING. Like seriously, it smells like heaven. Secondly, it is sulfate and paraben free which is the best thing you can do for your hair. It is also color safe and keratin enriched. You only need a tiny bit of shampoo so even though this can be a little costly ($15 a bottle or so), one bottle lasted me for about 5 months. I had used this religiously and when I went to get my hair cut, my stylist couldn't believe that I hadn't cut it in about 6 months because it was so healthy. GO BUY THIS NOW! Your hair will thank you!
