I am 40. I have crow's feet around my eyes and the beginnings of dark circles (not too dark or the full ring but darkness near the inner eye area). I always need to use eye cream before I use concealer because the concealer eventually cakes in my fine lines. The way Fake Up "diffuses fine lines" is it doesn't dry like paint and highlight your fine lines but acts like lip balm and keep the lines hydrated and supple so when you smile the fine lines don't show up as much. Benefit's Fake Up is sheer to moderate coverage on my skin (sheer with a little and you can add more for more coverage). I got it in "light" and I think it only comes in 3 shades. It's in a lipstick type applicator. I also used it around my nose, chin, and cheeks near my nose. It covers my dark circles and redness! I was worried since it is moisturizing it might leave shiny spots but on my skin it didn't on my skin. It was $24 for 0.12oz. I had been using Boots No. 7 Radiant Glow Concealer Shade 2 ($12.99) but I ran out. The Boots is a little too light and sheer for me. I also use Smashbox BB Cream in Light but it is drying under my eyes.

Polishes -Julep - Nail Polishes

I bought Julep in "Amy" which is described as a "smoky turquoise creme" for $14 at Sephora. I used one coat of Revlon Post Trauma Nail Treatment as a basecoat, two coats of Julep's "Amy", and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Anti-Chip Top Coat on my nails. My manicure lasted 5 days! I am a homeschooling mom of 4 who washed a lot of dishes and even worked in the veggie garden for those 5 days (I do wear gloves when working). $14 is expensive for my household; I became a Maven to bring the price per bottle down to $11.20. I really liked the color! I have ridges on my nails so I needed 2 coats of color but one was opaque. YMMV!

I am a NC20-25 skintone. This looks great on me. Bleeds a little on my cupid's bow. Smells like roses. Fades looking like a blotted lipstain.

I got a sample of this with Let's Do Lunch Tues & Thurs promotion. It really works on the many fine crows feet around my eyes!!!!! (It's $32 for 0.75oz which is pricey to me.) Most wrinkle products do nothing for me. It is very thick and waxy but once you apply it you don't feel it or see it. I am impressed and would buy this when I run out of my sample.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2 in 1 Foundation

I wear Covergirl Advanced Radiance Age Defying Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural 110 and on covergirl.com I am color matched to the same shade in Covergirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2 in 1 Foundation (Creamy Natural 120). Only 1 pump was needed to cover almost all of my face (I don't usually wear a full mask of foundation). It felt smooth going on and slightly scented that thankfully didn't last (I don't care for my face to be scented). The color is practically perfect match. My fine crow's feet are not highlighted either. This was not on sale for $17.04 at Bartell's on the West Coast. I don't feel I need powder. The finish is more dewy than matte but hardly dewy and certainly not greasy (I'm 39). I like this is better than Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation. That one was too thick and like a paste (I don't like full coverage); this one feels sheerer yet it gives me sheer to medium coverage.

Streaky. I just could not blend this product fast enough. I used a tiny amount the size of a lentil on my fingertips too! Lightest shade a close match not perfect. Feels matte not dewy so you don't need powder. I have a few red spots that it covered 75%. Didn't accentuate my fine crows feet. Perhaps I should have used moisturizer first but then what would be the point when this is a tinted moisturizer? I want less steps not more. (Looked streaky on my 12yo who has perfect skin.)

Too scented for me! The instructions say to use it day and night but you don't need spf in your sleep! My husband and I could smell it on my face and he asked me if I was going to the beach! It smells that strongly of sunscreen. (My 12 & 14yo daughters agreed on the scent.) Otherwise it wasn't too greasy on my combination skin. I wish it was in a tube because you need to wash your hands before use to not contaminate the contents too much after opening.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Marine Scene

One coat of Sally Hansen Base Coat, two coats of Marine Scene, and one coat of Out The Door Topcoat! On me two coats is opaque but maybe that is because I have light skin. (I took the photo of my hand outdoor in the Florida sun.) No nail polish lasts very long on me as a mom of 4 who washes a ton of dishes. This one gives me 3-4 days before nail tip chips develop. I change my nail polish weekly. I like the wide brush. It's not too runny either. I own several bottles of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails nail polish. I like it alot!

I first bought this at Ross in a white bottle with gold leaves scattered all over the bottle, gold cap, and the lovely French ladies in the center. It smells like love to me. My first boyfriend at 15 became my husband 7 years later (we never dated anyone else). Four children and 17 years later this is still my special fragrance for my true love and I. When you shower on the evening the warm water renews the scent and you can still smell it. Apparently with my chemistry it smells wonderful.

Polishes -Lacura - Nail Polish

http://img.makeupalley.com/2/4/4/6/1885064.JPG Colors are 406 Salsa Red, 402 Cherry Red, 405 Classic Red, 104 Rum Raisin, 107 Pure Pearl, 800 Crystal Glow. $1.49 at Aldi. All are made in France except 406 Salsa Red which is made in Germany. They come in a shrink wrapped box. I threw away the plastic and recycled the paperboard box and insert. I guess since it comes from overseas the boxes prevent breakage. The nail polish seemed fresh and easy to apply and not thick and old like it had been on the shelf a long time. I put on two coats since that makes my manicure last longer but you could get away with one coat even with the Cherry Red if you apply carefully (not esp streaky). I will followup with how long it lasts.

Moisturizers -Lacura - Q10 Day Cream

EDITED 2/17/12: I use this more in WA than in FL because of the weather! Slight crows feet are still there but this was my favorite day moisturizer so far! The instructions say to reapply during the day but if you wear makeup over it why would you? I gently wash my face in the am and then apply this day cream. It is awesome and not oily at all on my face. It soaks in fast for me. I have combination skin so when I dot on foundation around my nose and chin it doesn't look patchy or hightlight those areas (I don't wear foundation all over my face.) It has a slight fragrance to me. The frosted glass jar with mint colored lid is pretty! Only the addition of a sunscreen would make it better for me here in Sunny Central FL!

Moisturizers -Lacura - Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream

Edited 2/17/12: Just finished this jar. Slight crows feet still there. Slowly realizing at 39 that unless you slathered on sunscreen when you were a child the wrinkles are inevitable! Moved from FL to WA. No Aldi's only Trader Joe's and no Lacura... Not to devastating since Aldi is discontinuing a lot of Lacura. $3.99 at Aldi. It looks richer than the day cream yet feels lighter to me. It is lightly scented to my nose. My previous night cream was Nivea Visage Light Regenerating Night Care. It was too rich for my combination skin. I am 38 with no blemishes or wrinkles save slight crows feet. I like this product. It goes on smoothly and you only need a little bit. It hasn't irritated my skin. (I am new to Q10.) The glass jar with a blue lid is pretty. I am going to send a jar to my mom!

I bought this in Feline. It is a pretty pink but too frosty for me at 38!! It feels good on my lips but it bled into the very fine lines on the top center of my lips. I am giving this to my 11yo!
