Treatments -Boscia - Pore Purifying Black Strips
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:42:00 AM
They work ok. i dont think they work better than any other pore strip i have used though...I personally would stick to the biore ones which seem to work a little better for me. and the boscia ones cost almost double. i was going to take them back to sephora but i couldnt find my receipt. i will not be repurchasing.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aztec - Indian Healing Clay
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:36:00 AM
Love this stuff...its my go to mask when i need a deep clean. i use it once a week and i have gotten all of my friends and family hooked! i mix 1 part clay with .5 part organic apple cider vinegar. i put it on my face and curl up to read a book or watch some TV. after about 30 minutes or so (sometimes i leave it on longer) i wash it off and my skin, although red, feels wonderful. and the next morning i always wake up to glowing skin!!! its like magic. i always get compliments on my skin the day after i do my mask. Love that its an all natural, easy, DIY....i dont think i will ever love another mask as much as my precious Indian Healing Clay mask!

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Hydrating Lip Balm
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:31:00 AM
I have bought probably 4 or 5 packages of this lip balm. i keep them everywhere, in my purse, by my bed, in my bathroom, in my living room, in my desk, in my gym bag, (not in my car though because its too hot...i live in South Florida). I love the softness of the lip of the balm. it goes on smooth and is super hydrating. Some people dont like that slightly glossy feel of the lip balm, but i love it! i actually like the flavored ones more than the unflavored one because i find that the flavored ones tend to be even smoother and glossier. and i love the minty tingle! This is my ONLY go to drugstore brand of lip balm. All of the others are too waxy...just not my thing. oh! and i have seen so many different types of packaging, square tubes, cylinder tubes like soft lips, and the almond shaped tubes. i love this stuff...hope they never discontinue :-)

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Deep Cleansing Cream with Soap Bark and Chamomile
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:24:00 AM
i do love the fresh tingle on the skin upon application, but it does not clean all of the make up off so buyer should most certainly beware. i wipe off all my make up with a make up remove wipe and then use a cleanser and then a toner. when i used this as my cleanser, make up was still coming off on my cotton square when i swiped my face with a toner. and the product leaves a strange feeling on the skin...kinda like oil or vaseline. it just didnt work for me. so it gets 2 thumbs down. sorry Burt's!

Scrubs -Burt's Bees - Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:21:00 AM
hated it! like so many other people the scrub is extremely abrasive and it leaves a strange vaseline like coating on your face. Its so bizzarre. Some people have this experience and others dont. I did a video review and i got comments from people who loved it and from people who hated it. I think it has something to do with the shelf life perhaps???? Since it is mostly natural ingredients im wondering if the ingredients separate so all of the oils sort of sink to the bottom and becomes the first thing that is squeezed out of the tube upon use. maybe they should rethink their packaging? either way i will never buy this again!

Moisturizers -Nuance by Salma Hayek - AM/PM Anti-Aging Super Cream
DazzleDiaries 9/9/2011 10:17:00 AM
I actually really like this stuff! i find that it is very hydrating on the skin. It is quite thick and so you have to work with it. What i usually do is a spray a toner on my face and before the toner is completely dry i apply this cream to seal in the moisture. I find that it works the best that way. There can be a slight tingling sensation...i only get that sometimes though, like after i exfoliate. I suggest only using this cream at night because #1. it doesnt contain an SPF for day time and #2. it can be slightly "greasy" i have dry skin so i dont mind the "greasy" feel. it soaks in quite nice over night and does not clog pores. I have been using this for about 2months now and i love the entire NUANCE skin care line.

Lips -Nivea - A Kiss of Milk and Honey
DazzleDiaries 7/24/2011 2:43:00 PM
INGREDIENTS: Microcrystalline Wax, Octyldodecanol, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cetyl Palmitate, Ricinus Communis (Castor Seed) Oil, Myristyl Myristate, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Polyglyceryl 3 Diisostearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Coco Glucoside, Pentaerithrityl Tetraisostearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), C20 40 Alkyl Stearate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Panthenol, Beeswax (Apis Mellifera), Water, Fragrance I am really liking this lip balm. I have tried 2 other Nivea balms (the spf 15 one and the original in the blue tube) and i hated both of them, which made me hesitant to try this on. But i kept hearing about it so i decided it was worth a go. So, on a whim i picked it up for $2.99 at my local grocery store. I like this one SOOOOO much better than the others. This one is not waxy and leaves my lips feeling moisturized. the best part is, when i use it before bed i wake up with hydrated lips. something that the EOS lip balms do not give me!!!! This has replaced EOS on my bedside table, and i think i will buy a back up for my gym bag :-) Another positive is that it contains oils like jojoba and castor and grapeseed. But i do wish they were higher up on the ingredients list. The only negative is that i prefer for my lip balms to leave a more glossy finish. this one isnt waxy or anything, but its not as glossy as i would like...but again, thats just personal preference. Overall...REALLY REALLY LIKE IT!!!! I am not 100% in love because it hasnt transitioned into a HG product for me, just a very very good staple to havel

Shampoo -Shea Moisture - Organic Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo
DazzleDiaries 7/16/2011 10:54:00 AM
I like it. i really do. its a mild, moisturizing shampoo that i am currently using on most days. i do use a sulfate shampoo once every few weeks just to get rid of any residue or build up i may have on my hair due to products. PROS: no harsh chemicals, preservatives, or sulfates. It actually uses Decyl Glucoside as the sulfactant which is mild and great for sensitive skin. I love that its moisturizing. My scalp tends to get dry at times and i think using the shampoo helps it retain moisture. It doesnt have sodium chloride. I get keratin treatments and sodium choloride is a big no no! CONS: the smell is not going to be for everyone. it doesnt have perfumes in it so it smells kind of natural. Good thing is it doesnt linger in the hair after you wash out. the cost. its $9.99 at target and 11.99 at Walgreens. kind of pricey for a shampoo. i would prefer it to be priced along the lines of Organix and/or Renpure and stuff like that. I do want to say that i am half black and half asian so my hair is a product of that, its curly and long and thick and curly hair by nature tends to be drier than straight hair. This keeps my curls moisturized well. I do think that this shampoo is only appropriate for "ethnic hair" or something similar. I do not recommend this for bone straight, thin hair. if you know what i mean :-)

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - L.A. Girl Pro conceal HD concealer
DazzleDiaries 4/16/2011 12:39:00 PM
I got this concealer from cherryculture.com. I actually really really like it. For the price you cant beat it. Its super opaque! doesnt crease and is creamy, blends nicely. Also there are 18 different shades which is fantastic! instead of that light, medium, dark mess that a lot of lower end brands tend to have. A couple of dislikes: i cannot find accurate swatches anywhere! the little circle swatches on the website are just color dots, i wish i could see them swatched on actual skin. although the little color dots ring surprisingly true to color. i had to order 2 shades just to be sure. I normally am a NC44/45. I ordered Fawn which matches my skin tone perfectly. And Warm Honey which has a slightly pink undertone. I use that under my eyes as it is just a smidge lighter than my skin and has a different undertone. Overall, this is a re-purchase for me! and i might get some other shades for my kit as well :-)

Conditioner -Organix - Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment
DazzleDiaries 3/5/2011 1:20:00 PM
I Love this stuff! I have the whole line. It smells amazing!!! the renewing treatment is my favorite. it provides great slip and detangles my hair like a dream! when i was it out my hair is smooth and silky! i am biracial by the way, so my hair can be a bit picky about products that i use. I use this when i straighten my hair because it provides heat protectant :-) I highly recommend it!!!!! i did a review on my youtube channel (username DazzleDiaries) you can check out if you want more info. it is a bit procey for only 10 oz of product, but you can usually find it BOGO from ulta or walgreens.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - BeFine - Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15
DazzleDiaries 1/14/2011 11:39:00 AM
I have dry skin...living in a humid climate helps but i still need a good moisturizer! I was in search of a paraben free face moisturizer with SPF. I was using Skin Apetit's prior to this and i just didnt feel like it was moisturizing enough. i bought the morning sampler at Marshalls for 6 bucks (i think). I fell completely head over heels in LOVE with the moisturizer!!!! I love that its light in consistency but its enough to moisturize my skin! I have never again found it at marshalls which is sad...so i have had to pay more $ for it else where. But for me, its totally worth it!!! i just repurchased 2 bottles this morning! its fantastic!
