Yet another product that does not work for me. :( I went through almost two bottles just to be sure but I might as well be spraying $30. bottles of water on my face for all the good it's done.

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain
Daymoth 8/18/2009 5:00:00 PM
I love this product. The color I tried was nude which in my opinion is no where near nude but I have very pigmented lips so that happens to me a lot anyway. I still really like the color and the staying power is great. I just apply a little gloss throughout the day and I'm good to go. I like the fact that when my gloss wears off I still have some color. I don't find it to be drying, it really hardly feels like anything but then I put it on very light because the color is so intense. Personally I like the smell, I think it smells like candy or something, just mildly sweet. I do agree the package could be a little prettier but I'm happy to pay less for a plainer package any day. I'll definitely be buying more of these and I highly recommend them!

Liquid -Rimmel - Stay Matte Foundation
Daymoth 8/12/2009 4:17:00 PM
This foundation works great, stays matte and covers well but I can't use it because although it goes on a perfect match it darkens up after a couple hours and I look like I'm wearing a mask. Yuk. So bummer, it was almost wonderful.. :(

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion Facial Care System (Clarisonic dupe)

Hopefully I just received a bum product but after spending $40. on this and being super excited to try it out, a big clump of bristles fell out after the fourth use so I sent it back! From the few times that I got to use it I would say it worked okay. I wasn't overly impressed though. I feel like I got better results from a good microdermabrasion scrub so I'll stick to that.

Liquid -mark - Face XPert

I hadn't used this foundation for a loong time but after switching back to it I'm wondering why I possibly ever stopped! This stuff works so good for me. I have a lot of acne scarring and some breakouts and this is the only foundation I've found that glides right over them rather than settling into them as with a lot of other foundations I've tried. I really love the dewiness of it as well, not too much and not too matte either, just a nice glow. The only reason I took off 1 lippy is because of the packaging. While it is easy to dab on and brush in with my foundation brush I really don't like sponge applicators and regardless of "germ free technology" it still creeps me out. If mark would package this in a pump container I would be in heaven! :)

Skincare - Body -Bio Oil - All Products

I picked this up while desperately searching for something to help heal a mild chemical burn on my face. My skin is suuper sensitive and burned from the Retin A I had put on trying to calm the horrible breakouts I was experiencing and help the scars. Well that didn't work but this seems to! My skin was red and peeling off like crazy and this calmed it overnight and it completely stopped peeling within two days. I did restart Minocycline at the same time but this really seems to be helping with the angry red scars left behind as the breakouts heal without breaking me out worse. Did anyone else notice a warming effect? That caught me off guard. I'm not crazy about the smell, but it's light enough and goes away quickly enough it's no where near a deal breaker. Although it is a bit pricey as said before me, a little goes a looong way. I'd definitely recommend trying it for scars and dryness to those with chemical sensitive skin like me.

Concealers -mark - good riddance hook up concealer (all)

I'm was pleasantly surprised by this concealer. I really, really like it. Since I wasn't a fan of the Invisible Touch I was very wary about this but it's wonderful. I'm very light and have a hard time finding a match but it blends into my skin perfectly. I must say I do wish it was just a touch thicker because it can disappear on my oily skin if I'm not careful to set it well but overall it works wonderful. I've even used it as an eye primer and it worked really nicely for that too!

Makeup Brushes -mark - Eye Shadow Blending Brush
Daymoth 4/22/2009 1:38:00 PM
I've had this brush now for over a year and I can't say enough positive things about it. I just love it. Since I've learned to really blend my eyeshadow out and play with stronger color combinations it has been invaluable. I haven't had any shedding so far with mine and I wash it about every two weeks. I also find the bristles to be very nice and soft. At only $6. I think you'd be crazy not to at least try it! :D

Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
Daymoth 8/8/2008 3:08:00 PM
LOVE this product. I was actually looking for the new Carmindy line at Walgreens when I saw this one was buy one get one 1/2 off. Having read good reviews here at MUA, I was wanting to try it anyway so I picked up this and the primer. I am actually amazed at how good this stuff works. I have very troubled skin that is so difficult to find a good foundation for. I'm pale with very acne prone skin and a good deal of scarring, oh and I'm oily! :( So I need a good coverage foundation that soothes and isn't too heavy. The combination of the primer and foundation in this line worked wonders!! My skin looks prettier and feels better than it has ever looked with a face full of makeup! The coverage is very buildable and don't ask me how but the matching seems to work perfectly! The price is good and I am in love!! :)

Primer/ Corrector -Revlon - Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
Daymoth 8/8/2008 3:02:00 PM
I've been on the hunt for a good primer lately due to horrible issues with my skin as I try to get it clear. The only other one I've tried so far is Smashbox~which I loathed! I got this one buy one get one 1/2 off at Walgreens and tried it with the Beyond Natural Foundation and I love, love it! My skin has never felt so good with a full face of makeup on and it looks better than it has in a while! I'll have to wait and see if it breaks me out or any of that fun stuff but so far for the price and quality, I am in love! Now I'm off to review the foundation (wonderful stuff!). ;)

Cleansers -mark - Mark Calming Effect Comforting Milk Cleanser
Daymoth 5/14/2008 2:34:00 AM
I usually only use cetaphil cleanser but decided to try this cleanser because although I need a gentle cleanser, the cetaphil doesn't always seem to get rid of makeup well enough. I'm really liking this one. It removes all of my makeup, leaves my skin feeling soft without residue or dryness. And I love the smell, I'm actually surprised about the comment that it smelled like chemicals because I'm super sensitive about stuff like that and I thought this smelled very nice and natural.

Moisturizers -mark - Matte Chance

I was a bit unsure about trying the new skincare line being super picky about skincare myself but I have to say I'm really glad I did! I love this. I have super oily skin so I did have a little shine at the end of the day but nothing a quick blot couldn't handle and unlike most mattifiers that I've tried my face did not feel gunky at any point even with foundation and powder over top! And as an added bonus I love the packaging! It's brilliant and wonderful!! :)
