Hair Color -Revlon - ColorSilk in Black 10

This is a horrible product! It's very watery and you have to be extremely careful while applying. The worst part was the rinse off. I stood in the shower for 45 minutes and there was still black dye coming out.I finally gave up, put in the conditioner thinking that would get the rest out, and as much came out during that rinse as during the first one. The color is correct - black - hard to screw that up and it was dirt cheap on sale in CVS (2 for $5.00), but not worth everything else. There are better black dyes out there and I'd pay extra to avoid that shower experience again!

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice 'n Easy - Root Touch Up

I love this product. Very easy to use and covers my gray perfectly. I only have a small amount of gray around the sides, so buying a full bottle of hair dye to make my hair the same color seemed to be a waste of money. This is perfect because it's cheap and you only use the amount of dye you need. The brush makes it super easy to apply with no mess. My hair is very dark brown (almost black) and I use the "Dark Brown" shade for 15 minutes. Perfect match.

Treatments -MyChelle - Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum
rated 5 of 5

Wonderful product. I have super sensitive rosacea skin and this works very well to keep me hydrated and clear. It's expensive but does last awhile because you only need a small amount. I apply two drops after cleansing while my face is still wet, let it dry, and then apply the bee yummy moisturizer from live-live.com. My skin has never looked or felt better. I don't even need makeup anymore unless I want to put some one. Other My'Chelle products I use are the Unscented Honeydew Cleanser and the Sun Shield SPF (daily), Incredible Pumpkin Peel (once per week) and I alternate the Blueberry Antioxidant Mask and the Cranberry Mud Mask (once per week). As an exfoliator, I use a product called Magic Dust Face Polish from Spirit Earth Organic Skin Care. I've found this regimen to keep my rosacea, and the acne it causes, under control.

Cleansers -MyChelle - Honeydew Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 10/22/2008 9:31:00 PM

I have super sensitive, rosacea skin prone to breakouts and hives. I've been using Zia Fresh Cleansing Gel as my face cleanser for years. It was the ONLY cleanser I could use that didn't turn my face bright red or cause breakouts/rashes. Unfortunately, Zia changed the ingredients and created a cleanser I can no longer use. Luckily, I was quickly directed to MyChelle Honeydew Cleanser and it works! This has spared me the costly and stressful process of searching for a new face wash. This cleanser is a thick, creamy wash that rinses easily with warm water. You can leave it on up to 5 minutes for a more deep cleansing. I use it quick in the morning and then leave on for 5 minutes at night when removing my mineral makeup. If you wear very heavy makeup, you may need a little extra effort taking it off. This cleanser also removes eye makeup without burning or irritation. After use, my skin is very soft and comfortable, not red, and no breakouts. It is costly at almost $20.00 a bottle (I can only find it in one store in my area), but it's worth the money because it works for me. I hope it works as well for others!

Lip Treatments -Badger - Badger SPF15 Sunblock Lip Balm

I found this product very hard to apply. It was extremely sticky and I had to drag it across my lips. I think the very obvious white tint could be eliminated with perhaps a natural coloring? I wasn't crazy about this.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 10/19/2008 2:16:00 AM

I love this hand lotion. It dries quickly so you are not left feeling greasy/sweaty, but definitely locks in moisture. My hands get dry and crack as soon as the weather turns colder and this has been helping to prevent that from happening. I don't have to constantly reapply. I like the packaging (little tub) because it fits easily in my purse. I also like the smell (strong almond scent on first application but fades to a nice, light smell).

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Royal Jelly Eye Creme with Aloe Vera
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 10/15/2008 5:41:00 PM

I've been trying the Burt's Bees line to address aging issues (my first wrinkle showed it's ugly head!). I've tried all of the BB's eye creme and this is my favorite. While the others are very moisturizing and the "radiance eye creme" definitely gave me a nice, dewy glow, they were too runny and very heavily fragranced. My eyes teared like crazy, and it some cases really burned, especially if I put them on before bed. As soon as I laid down for a few minutes, they would run into my eyes. This creme is definitely thicker than any other creme I've tried, but I like it because it doesn't run. Granted, you cannot put concealer over it BUT I've found that I don't need concealer when I wear it because it really brightens and lightens the undereye area. I guess it's not for everyone, but it works for me and I would repurchase. I found it at a small health food store for $11.99 and it's lasting quite some time, so it's worth the price.

Lip Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Anti-Aging Lip Treatment
rated 4 of 5
DawnMarie02 10/7/2008 9:27:00 PM

I guess I'm in the minority because I like this product. You do have to stick with it to see results. After using my third tube, I noticed a definite difference in lip fullness and a more defined contour of upper lip. It's very noticeable in photos taken "then" and "now." I took a lippie off for the price because I do think it's overpriced, but most products are and at least this one works!

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Night Cream
rated 1 of 5
DawnMarie02 9/24/2008 1:55:00 AM

There is nothing calming about this cream. I had to take it off after about 2 hours because the burning was unbearable. Fragrance is listed half-way through the ingredients. Shame on me for not double-checking the ingredients list before buying, though I would expect something meant for calming wouldn't include fragrance! For the price I paid, I expected more. This is going back for a refund tomorrow.

Powder -100 Percent Pure - Healthy Glow Powder with spf 20
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 5/10/2008 8:05:00 AM

Update 12/6/08: I was told by the company that this product has been discontinued :( This product is incredible and I've tried every type of mineral or natural powder you can think of. No breakouts at all, excellent coverage, only a small bit of product required to get the job done, and I thought my skin looked better after I removed it. I also received a lot of compliments on my skin the first time I wore it .. people said I had nice skin, not nice makeup! I purchased the lightest shade from QVC and have purchased a shade up for the summer. FYI, I have very pale sensitive, rosacea skin that breaks out very easily.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorist [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
DawnMarie02 11/26/2007 1:08:00 AM

My natural hair color is very dark brown, almost black. I purchased Dark Brown to color a few grays. The result: Light red roots and fingernails stained black from the "color glaze." Needless to say, I won't be buying this again and will have to recolor my hair in a couple of days to get rid of the light roots the "Dark Brown" left behind!

Primer/ Corrector -DERMAdoctor - Eye Spy
rated 4 of 5
DawnMarie02 9/22/2007 10:54:00 PM

It looks like I'm in the minority b/c I love this product. I received it as a sample and it covered the darkness under my eyes better than any product (no white circles!!) and majorly reduced puffiness. It looks very natural .. I looked well-rested rather than someone with makeup under my eyes. Only negative is the price, it's much too expensive.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Premium Minerals SuprSun
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 9/21/2007 4:09:00 PM

This is a powder sunscreen (estimate spf about 30) and it's absolutely wonderful. It's very cheap (15 bucks for a 30 gm sifter), no chemicals, minimum ingredients, easy to apply, comes in 3 colors (sheer, pebble which is a beige, and cameo which is more peachy/pinky), and it gives excellent sun protection as well as made my skin look nicer after I washed it off. It was much softer and the redness was reduced. I still used an extra spf eye cream for under eyes, but the rest of my face stayed fine after being outdoors. I've had no breakout, hives, rash .. nothing. I just love it! I've been using Bare Minerals, but I'm switching. This stays on much better and it's cheaper! (I have sensitive, rosacea skin)

Treatments -Renee Rouleau - Anti-cyst treatment
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 9/11/2007 2:26:00 PM

I tried everything for hormonal cystic acne that would appear on my chin every month without fail. After literally thousands of dollars on products and dermatologists, this is the ONLY thing that works. The key is catching the cyst as soon as you feel it, put two drops on religiously twice a day, and it's gone. A miracle product if ever there was one and I'm very, very grateful!

Moisturizers -DDF - Ultra Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew
rated 5 of 5
DawnMarie02 9/11/2007 1:49:00 PM

A great, light, everyday moisturizer for those with sensitive skin. I've been using it for over a week without any problems and it's keeping my semi-dry, sensitive skin moist and feeling good. Update: I've switched to a heavier moisturizer because I found this one didn't keep my skin hydrated enough, however, I highly recommend it for people who need light moisturizing and are afraid to use a moisturizer because of breakouts. This product never broke me out.
