Waaaaayy too sweet. I'm 18 years old, usually I like a sweet-ish perfume and I don't find Lolita Lempicka or Pink Sugar or Sui Dreams too much, I very much like them. However, THIS just takes the biscuit...some people think Pink Sugar and the likes are too sweet, well take it from someone who likes those 'sweet' perfumes, this one is bad sweet, sweet and tacky, too sweet. I think you get my drift.

Lip Treatments -Clinique - Repairwear Intensive Lip Treatment

Pretty average stuff. Doesn't show any signs of being wonder balm, although moisturises ok, but nothing to write home about. I don't see any plumping action to my lips at all. A little bit too shiny for me, but not overly so like some (i.e. Dr Hauschka). I don't get the weird packaging, it says in big letters all around the tube FRAGRANCE FREE FRAGRANCE FREE, and that's all the 'decoration' there is...? Would not buy again, sticking with my Prada balm.

Lip Treatments -Prada - Lip Balm Tint #1 (Nude)
rated 5 of 5

This is the best lip balm I have ever used, and I am buying it over and over again. The thing I love about it is that it isn't GLOSSY. So many balms I have tried go down the shiny shiny route and it just isn't for me. I prefer a natural matte look to my lips and this gives it perfectly. The colour is also perfect as it makes my lips look good but still natural. It cancels out redness which is a big plus for my pigmented lips. It also moisturises well, although saying that my lips don't have huge issues so I can't really say if it works for like seriously dry or chapped lips. The only bad thing is the size, the little tube only lasts me a couple of weeks and when it gets emptier it's really difficult to squeeze out!

Blush -Stila - Gladiola Convertible Color
rated 4 of 5
DavinaD 8/14/2006 6:51:00 AM

I bought this because I've been searching for the perfect peachy blush and I quite like cream blushes. I also got the impression this worked well with reddish cheeks, and that drew me as I seem to have trouble with my face (lips, cheeks, etc.) turning every make up product a red shade. Anyway, it didn't quite work in that way the way I wanted, as I could still see quite a bit of red on my cheeks. However, it does somehow give a really 'glowy' look to your face, and I even had someone mention how well I looked with a glow to my face! I find it a bit weird to apply, as I kind of can't really see it showing up as I'm applying, but when I look in a mirror later in the day I can definitely see the difference it makes and my cheeks look really warm and healthy. I was pleasantly surprised to find it works really well on the lips! Shows up a lovely orangey shade that I've been pining after!

Lip Treatments -Dr. Hauschka - Lip Balm - stick
rated 3 of 5

I was expecting a bit more from this to be honest. It moisturises ok, but I don't find it to be anything special like all the reviews suggest! It has a nice scent and I like the slight orange tint it gives off, but one thing I don't like about it is the glossiness. I'm not one for lipgloss I usually go more for lipsticks, so finding lots of gloss in a lipbalm is definitely not on my priority list! And this one is kind of a greasy-looking gloss - not nice. Overall, nothing special and I won't be buying again.

Bronzers -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - So Ceylon [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
DavinaD 7/15/2006 3:09:00 PM

To be honest this didn't live up to my expectations and all the hype. I found that whilst it gave a beautiful glow and sheen to my skin, the colour wasn't quite right for me. It showed up too red for my liking, although my skin tends to bring out red in literally every make-up item. Being quite pale also, I imagine that this would work on more tanned skin, although I think it could work quite well on paler skin if your skin doesn't have tendencies like mine to make it red! Concerning the healthy sheen it brings to my cheeks, it's nothing I haven't found before in other products; Bobbi Brown's Shimmerbricks for example I find to give an equally lovely glow. Having said all that, if I apply So Ceylon fairly lightly I can just about pull it off and I do think that when it sits right it is a lovely product!

Eye Shadow -Clinique - Color Surge in Bewitched
rated 3 of 5
DavinaD 7/15/2006 2:58:00 PM

I agree this is a pretty middle-of-the-road colour, but it isn't bad. It's handy for me to have on hand as a reliable shadow I can always use, but having said that I own Stila's Java which is fairly similar in colour, but better texture in my opinion (that is, softer and more blendable) and so I'm more inclined to use that. I don't agree that it's sheer, I think it goes on quite strongly and darkly actually. Not bad but not amazing.

Fragrances -Burberry - Baby Touch
rated 3 of 5
DavinaD 6/18/2006 12:20:00 PM

This smells like GRASS when I spray it on me - not what I was expecting. When it mellows out however, I can appreciate why they called it Baby Touch, but it's not EXACTLY what I wanted it to be - I would have preferred it to be ever so slightly sweeter, and something else but I can't think what...overall, not too bad and you will probably like if you do actually want a smell reminiscent of something baby-like! (powder, nappies..? dunno I'm no baby expert)

Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Coco
rated 2 of 5
DavinaD 6/18/2006 12:12:00 PM

When I first sprayed this on I thought agggghh what the hell is this?! Vanilla/coconut? I think not! More like glue sandwiches! (If there ever was such a thing.) Upon drydown, it does soften into more a vanillary type smell, although its not the best vanilla I've smelt. I smell hardly any coconut in this one, especially when it dries down. When the perfume's been on me for a while, it smells a bit like white chocolate, and a bit like cream/milk, but not in a particularly good way. Overall, its OKAY when it dries down, but I will not be buying again.

Fragrances -Demeter - Laundromat Pick Me Up Spray
rated 3 of 5
DavinaD 6/15/2006 7:22:00 AM

This to me smells more like the washing powder you put in rather than the freshly washed clothes that come out. It is a nice fresh scent though, and does remind you of laundry as it is supposed to. Doesn't last very long on my skin!

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Dream Angels Heavenly
rated 1 of 5

DEFINITELY will not be buying this one again - it is really truly cheap and tacky smelling. It smells very 'old school' to me - a perfume a middle-aged lady stuck in the past might wear. Ugh, not nice. UPDATE: I smelt this perfume on an old lady in church this morning. I am not joking!

Fragrances -Cacharel - Amor Amor

DavinaD 6/1/2006 6:39:00 AM

I'm not sure about this one. I usually don't go for fruity florals which is exactly what this is! However, I think they seem to work on my skin which is hmm. When first sprayed on this is very strong and I can smell a very high, tart note, similar to the one in D&G Light Blue. I would expect it to mellow out after a while like most perfumes do, but this one doesn't when I sniff my wrist directly, but strangely in the 'aura' around me it does smell very mellowed out and quite different actually. It smells more powdery and less citrusy, which is quite nice...so a bit undecided on this one.

Fragrances -Lolita Lempicka - L de Lolita Lempicka
rated 3 of 5
DavinaD 5/31/2006 5:45:00 AM

I have a sample of this bought off ebay, at first sniff in the bottle it smells exactly like Lush American Cream conditioner! When I spray it on myself it starts off very tangy and strong (yeah good words there) but quickly mellows down. What I notice most when it dries down is that it smells kind of rotten on me - I'm guessing this is the smokey, incensey scent others have mentioned, but I really don't think I like it. If it wasn't for that 'dirty' note, then it would be a very nice scent (which smells slightly less like American Cream when sprayed on but still very recognisable). EDIT: After a while I noticed the smokeyness subsiding, which was a plus for me. However, I still couldn't really tell if I liked it or not. I asked three other people their opinions and their reactions weren't 'wow!' - my dad said hmmm smells very sweet - it's ok; my sister and my friend both said it smelt very vanillary. No-one was overly impressed though! I think it's a nice scent but not HG material, as it's not amazing.

Fragrances -LUSH - Karma

Ugh - really didn't like this. Bought after reading good reviews on it, but without smelling it first - big mistake! (Also the deadly reviews in the Lush magazine which can make you buy anything). I have never smelt patchouli before, but apparantly that is what is in this scent, and if so , I do NOT like patchouli. Smells so unbelievably strong, not nice at all , like fizzy...alcoholy...vinegar. Ugh, will not be buying again, or using up the bottle I have now.

Fragrances -Ghost - Ghost EDP
rated 3 of 5

This perfume is very rose scented - and I'm really not a fan of rose scents. I think it works well on some people, for example my sister has this perfume and loves it, and I think it is nice on her. However, I do think it smells a bit like turkish delight.
