These are amazing balms. 12 bucks is not much if you consider how much money you will spend trying to find a great lip balm. This was free in birchbox but that was a year ago and just using it at night has seriously transformed my lips. I just use it once a day, at night and wake up with great peel free, smooth lipstick ready lips. I plan to buy the other scents with my birchbox points. The lavender one would be better for my bedside table. I have tried jack black, eos, chap stick, smackers natural, korres, and MANY more as I am sure we all have. this is still the one I use a year later so that has to say something.

Treatments -Kerastase - Oleo-Relax Serum
rated 5 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 2/22/2012 12:32:00 PM

This stuff is really great for my long, curly hair. Here is how I use it: After washing and squeezing water out, i put curl mousse in all of my hair, then turn my head over and put the 1.5 pums of oleo relax in- more at the middle and ends. then I spray curls spray gel all over and diffuse. PERFECT frizz free curls that last 2-3 days. If I skip using this for a day or two, my hair is way harder to manage after washing. Combing while wet is such a hassle and I would never try wearing it smooth without using oleo relax the day before. It seriously improves the way my hair feels after using it for a week straight. I can wear my hair curly without re doing it again for a day or sometimes 2 if I use this when styling. -I use one and a half pumps, and some always seeps out from under the hole where it should come out, so it winds up being 2 pumps. for the price, they should improve the packaging a bit. I used a serum in a glass bottle from pantene before I started using this and that bottle never had any malfunctions. but I do love this stuff. hope that helps!

My very most favorite eyeshadow. ever. I love how smooth it is, if you just seen a swatch of it you would suspect it is urban decay. honestly. Its nicer than the ud dupe, busted. I love it and wear it often. cant say the same for some of my pricer shadows from prestige brands. it is so beautiful with satin taupe from mac.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sable Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5

I dont have a whole lot of mac shadows, but do have about 30. This is my most recent purchase, and I have never felt sexier from a product. when I think a makeup product could make me feel sexy, I think of lip gloss, but no. This color makes me feel sultry and exotic. a lot from an eyeshadow right? It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you should try it if you are at a mac stand/store. I can see this being applied in different ways for different looks. I like to pat it on with a 252 all over lid except for the inner third, then blend edges with some brule and hey in corner. The pigmentation is great, the color and sheen look most like the last 2 example photos. the others not really look like it, especially not the first photo!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - YDK eyeshadow

i only say YES I will buy this shade again because i am confident that it will be in more ud palettes in the future. It is in the BOS2 and naked2 palettes which i have. It is a VERY pretty color. I would absolutely give it 5+ stars all around if it were sold without the gold micro glitter. I am 28, my skin is starting to change texture, it is very apparent when I wear this shade or sidecar, or any others with the glitter. At first, i thought this would not be too bad since it is not bigger flecks of glitter like midnight cowboy rides again, and all those that I, and many other people hate, but, this is a bit more annoying because I cant simply brush it away like the bigger flecks, if I do that, it just gets pressed deeper into my skin, pores. It does stick well with pixie epoxy, but when i use that, my shadow creases, so I cant expect it to wear as well as say, toasted (another pretty UD metallic shade but without any glitter.) on top of UDPP. pretty, but experiment with it on different primers or applicators/brushes. I do agree with another reviewer who mentioned it looks more taupe when on. gosh, it would be LOVE if it were available with no glitter.

Toners -Clinique - Clarifying Lotion #2
rated 5 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 8/14/2011 5:56:00 PM

twelve bucks for a good size full sized bottle. It exfoliates and tones like nothing else ive ever used, im down to the last few applications in the bottle, and am in a slight panic to go get more. I plan to get it from sephora if they carry it since then i will add points to my beauty bank ;) Before this, i was using witch hazel from walgreens, and it was more mild than i needed. My skin is oily and i have medium to large pores on nose and cheeks near nose that clog easily. this stuff on a cotton ball sometimes takes place of a full face washing if i am in a rush in the morning, or need a quick mid day refresher. Just a month and a half and i can already see a huge difference in the appearance of pores and i extract WAY less frequently. check it out, you can also return if it dont work out for ya!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Butterfly Flower

I am not a floral scent lover. I'm usually drawn to fruity, sweet, earthy scents, like Brittany spears fantasy, Vera Wang princess, pink sugar, stuff like that. but I LOVE gardenia, and i love this scent so much. I'm mad I just discovered it and have learned that it is being discontinued. The body cream is amazing in this scent, it lingers for hours!

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light
rated 5 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 5/15/2011 2:33:00 PM

i love this. I usually just use tinted moisturizer and a bit of concealer for my nw20 skin. this powder in the color medium is PERFECT for me. it dont make me too matte, and it covers where i would usually be too dewy or shiny. I use the ELF studio flat top powder brush to buff this in my skin and my skin looks so pretty. I will continue to buy this and may even buy a darker color of it to contour. I do wish it had a mirror, but since Im a depotting addict I put mine in my hot pink happy booster compact (from my PF light bronzer)so I have a mirror to see what Im doing while applying at work or wherever.

Styling Products -Suave - Touchable Finish extra hold hair spray
rated 3 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 4/28/2011 12:31:00 PM

I rarely use hairspray because im a naturally curly girl who uses mousse and spray gel most days, but sometimes I want to get fancy with the enzo curling iron, and ill use a touch of hair spray. So I ran out of the good stuff I was using, and seen reviews about this and it smelled good so what the heck right? Guess I thought since I don't use it enough then I shouldn't pay a lot for it but if I'm going to take the time to curl my hair or style it any way, it don't make sense if it will fall after only an hour? Now I feel like a dummy because my hair isn't curly or straight and not in a good way. So i'd say this was a fail.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Stipple
rated 5 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 4/20/2011 6:08:00 PM

I love this for blush! I guess I'm lucky because i don't use foundation, but this would probably work good for that too. I would love to buy more of these, but then i would be lazy and not wash it appropriately. It applies blushes so nice, and helps it to be build able so you don't pack too much on at once. the bristles are so soft. before this, i was using a mac 268se. um, that is so scratchy, and made little bumps on my cheeks. I dont even have sensitive skin! so after using this, i wear blush WAY more often and no little red bumps! you know, most of elf's brushes are not attached to the handle very tightly, but i dont think its fair to judge them because of it. if you are planning on buying brushes from elf, keep in mind you may need some super glue ready. BUT, I havent had that problem with this stipple brush or the flat top brush, so maybe they are using a new epoxy or something. i think this is well worth the 3 bucks!

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Midnight Fantasy Britney Spears
rated 4 of 5

My boyfriend LOVES this! Out of all the perfumes I have, dior, juicy, escadas, and several others, this is the one he prefers. I dont really care for it as much as he does, but ill wear it from time to time because it drives him crazy, lol. other reviewers described it way better than I could, it is very sweet and warm. It lingers all day and Ive had my bottle for over a year now and it has not changed.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites in Strawberry Parfait
rated 4 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 12/4/2010 10:26:00 PM

I am nw25 mac for reference. Before I got into mac makeup I layered this on for about two years. I had to reapply so often, but I didn't care because that's how lip gloss is, well, so I thought. It's such a PRETTY color! The scent isn't too bad. Its kind of like candy, but its expected with bonne bell. Even their eyeshadow powder is scented. On my birthday, I went to the mac counter, and asked them if they had anything close to this shade... She referred CULTURED lip glass. It's the closest thing to this color, but it stays on way, Way longer. Its also very close to nyx beige which cultured is also the closest dupe the mac artist could find in the lip glasses. I would buy again if I was in a pinch and needed a lip gloss but didn't have much money.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Rock Star
rated 4 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 11/19/2010 12:06:00 PM

I do like this scent, I agree, it does not smell like candy. Maybe in the UK there is a famous candy that smells like this, who knows. I believe that lush has a good grind going on, they note everything they use to make their stuff is natural. this has detergents in it just like the stuff at the stores. Its not completely the same, but its not the perfect natural soap either. If you're looking for that, you should go to an online e-tailer who makes cold process soaps. This don't really have any moisturizing ingredients in it. It does scrub up well. the scent don't really last after a shower either. But if you enjoy the scent, it could be a nice experience. I think if you buy this you should slice it up and use a slither at a time. that way what you do not need don't melt down too quick. Because it does melt down fast! this goes for all lush soaps. If you can get it from a store, they will cut you a sample if you ask. That way you don't waste your money if you don't care for it.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Blending Brush
rated 4 of 5
DarlingLoverFace 9/17/2010 11:20:00 PM

I use this occasionally. I used to use it for applying smudge pots and cream liners as a base on my lid. This is what I now use a mac 217 for, because this used to be different, longer bristles and they were stiffer too. I found out that it was different because i lost my old one, and when i ordered this one, it was totally changed, i guess in a good way... but i loved the way it used to be. What i use it for now is just softening up the crease color, or blending my nude color shadow onto the color on top (under brow bone).
