Self Tanners -Banana Boat - Sunless Tanning Creme - Deep Dark
DanseMacabre11 3/21/2013 11:23:00 PM
I'm pretty fair skinned with freckles, so, as you can imagine, tanning isn't something that comes easy to me. Trying to avoid the whole skin cancer route has lead me to sunless tanners. Because I'm so pale, the first application looked slightly awkward on me. It wasn't necessarily orange, but almost yellowy brown? Not really dark, just odd. However, after another application which made me a little darker, I think I look like I just have a natural tan, which is wonderful. Make sure to exfoliate your whole body before using. Rub in really well, and avoid excessive application to areas such as the knees and elbows. It does stain your hands easily, but if I wash my hands immediately after using the product I'm fine.
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Smitten

I love this! I have fair skin and green eyes, and this bright fuchsia color looks wonderful. It's fun and bright without looking like a dime store lipstick. It stays on wonderfully, even after eating. I only had to touch up once throughout an 8hr workday. I personally didn't find it very drying.
I left my makeup bag in a city an hour away and had to buy cheap replacements for the week. I usually use Bare Minerals, which I adore, but I thought I would give this "BB Cream"/tinted moisturizer a try. I had a couple acne scars and slightly uneven skin tone, and I just felt like this gave no coverage, no matter how many layers I applied. Even if it didn't cover up the marks, it should at least even skin tone. It was like I didn't even put anything on. Disappointed.
I left my make-up bag at my house in a city an hour away, so I had to buy some temporary products for the week. I choose this as my blush since it was only $1. I like the color; it is a very lightly pigmented champagne color with a bit of a sheen to it. It looks very natural, just giving your cheek bones a glow. I was nervous about the application since I normally use powder, but it was very easy. Overall, a good product, especially for the price.
Bronzers -Bare Escentuals - Faux Tan all-over face color

I love Bare Minerals, and I had always used Warmth since it is the standard bronzer. However, I switched to Faux Tan about a year ago and will never go back! It is much more natural than Warmth, less orangey. It lasts forever, especially when set with the Mineral Veil. The best part is obviously the contouring effect. This product makes it look like I have amazing cheek bones, which I love. Overall, a PERFECT product! And remember, you only need a tiny bit.
Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals in 1.2, fairly light

Both my roommate and I have been using Bare Minerals for over two year now. My roommate once said, "I don't care if I'm homeless, I'm still gonna buy Bare Minerals." While that make be an exaggeration, you get the point. Bare Minerals foundation is perfect for my acne-prone skin. I don't have to worry about leaving it on overnight like I did with liquid foundation. It also covers acne and acne scars better than any foundation I had ever tried. When I have a zit that is difficult to cover, I use the corner tip of a triangle makeup sponge, dab it in a little of the powder, and put it on. It's like the zit isn't even there. Same for scars. I especially like this foundation because it is so natural looking. I still blend it into my neck a little, since it IS a foundation, but I love that it looks like I have naturally even, beautiful skin when I really don't. AND it still lets my freckles shine through, which is a deal breaker for me :) Finally, this product lasts forever. Yes, it is pricey ($27 at Sephora), but it is going to last you 6+ months wearing it every day. This equals out to buying $5-10 liquid foundation once a month. Combine this product with Faux Tan bronzer and the Mineral Veil, and you're gonna be looking great!
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express The Falsies Flared
DanseMacabre11 6/9/2012 5:03:00 PM
I have liked the Falsies products in general already, so I thought I would switch things up and try the flared. I was equally as pleased. I already have long thick eyelashes, but this definitely made them stand out. I don't really like wearing eyeliner unless I am going to a special occasion, but this product makes your eyes pop enough that I don't feel the need to add eyeliner anyway. I usually apply a single coat to both top lashes, and then I go back and add another coat. Sometimes it does take some coaxing to get rid of minor clumps. I recommend only adding one coat on the bottom lashes or you will end up with spidery eyelashes, which I am not a fan of. Overall, good product. I will most likely purchase this again!
I have really dry skin because of accutane, but this stuff works amazingly. Today, I was at school and my face looked like it was falling off, so I just took out my mini version, rubbed it in, and POOF! Amazing. LOVE it.
I loved the tingly feeling and how clean my face felt afterwards!
I love this! I don't have blackheads on my nose, but I do tend to get clogged pores. Once I removed the strips, I could see EVERY pus bubble on it (gross, I know)! My nose felt SO clean. I use them every Sunday!
Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

This is AMAZING if you have oily/acne-prone skin. During the day (before I was on Accutane) my face would get super-oily, especially around my nose and my forehead. It didn't help that I worked at a Mexian Grill so I was standing over a 530 degree flattop all the time. But these worked so well! They don't screw up my make-up and the this package is great!
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Facial Cleanser
DanseMacabre11 10/30/2007 10:47:00 PM
I am on Accutane, so my face is super dry. So I was looking for a cleanser that wasn't drying/for acne-prone skin. This product worked well for that. It removed my make up and it didn't dry my skin out. However, I really despise the smell. I think it smells like cheap soap. I think this is a pretty good product, but I would rather spend my money on one that I like better.
I was recommended this product by a friend who has beautiful skin. When I put it on, it made my face look kind of shiny because of all the glittery stuff. As for how much it moisturized my face: not at all. I would not recommend this product.
