Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Deep
DannyMAC 4/30/2012 3:31:00 PM
Hey Everyone! This is a staple in my personal skin regimen. I always get compliments on how flawless my skin looks. On the days where I'm on location for a photo shoot or wedding, I like my skin to look "clean and neat". So I use strobe liquid over my higher planes on my face and then all over with this stuff. Looks, clean, clear and I have that natural glow everyone always asks me about.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #130 Short Duo Fibre Brush
DannyMAC 4/30/2012 2:50:00 PM
Hey everyone. I was definitely tempted not to buy this brush, due to the so/so reviews and people complaining about fall out. Actually, I was interested in the 187, but after I used the 130 on myself first, I was sold. Didn't even bother using the 187 (which were the same $42 price...WTH). I really like this brush. I like that it gets all the little corners by the nose and you can build up your foundation too. ALSO, can use this for cream blush/bronzers YAY. I will say, that after one was, it had some splaying, which is more annoying than anything.

Lipstick -MAC - Summer Shower
DannyMAC 4/30/2012 2:35:00 PM
Hey Everyone! YES....and yes. Um...if you missed out, I found back ups at my CCO and I bought 3 more. Sure, it looks like just a shimmer stick with "no color"...even swatched, BUT...looks KILLER over reds, pinks, even nude shades. Absolutely stunning and they should make this permanent. If you are lucky at the CCO, try and swatch it over a different color. You will be amazed.

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam V
DannyMAC 4/30/2012 2:32:00 PM
Hey everyone! ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE lipstick for brides. I am BOOKED for weddings, and no matter how many colors I own, I always end up reaching for this. I add some MAC clear gloss over top (if they want) and we're good to go. Perfect everyday color too.

Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
DannyMAC 4/30/2012 2:28:00 PM
Hey everyone! Dan here. I had reviewd the Studio Sculpt foundation last year, because I used it on myself for events or on the job. However, I most recently converted to this gem. With Studio Sculpt, you could always tell I had "makeup" on, but with this, the compliments I get are more like "What great looking skin you have." Which is what I think most people would rather hear. I'm a guy, so I like to look like I'm not wearing makeup, but have nice skin. This works for me and you can build coverage if needed. I like the pump too. Bacteria stays OUT! I use my MAC 130 to apply. A little bird told me this is being discontinued, which I don't know it's true, but I really like this product.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Rule Matte E/S
DannyMAC 3/25/2012 10:17:00 PM
Hey everyone! Dan here. I don't understand why there are so many poor reviews on here? I mean, I guess it is "orange", but if you use the right e/s combo and can blend, you should definitely have this in your collection. I will say this looks great on all skin tones, but I use this more for darker skinned beauties. Try MAC Cranberry e/s on lid and Rule on the bridge/crease area and blend. Just trust me. Throw some Arena on the brow bone and blend. Think about it. Any questions feel free to message me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Trax
DannyMAC 9/19/2011 1:42:00 PM
Hey everyone. Dan here. I see a lot of reviews about this color being too sheer. I am not sure if everyone has used a primer, but I use Bare Study, also by MAC and I always end up with a more vibrant purple. I also believe it depends on what colors you use with it. Try packing it on with a 239 brush (like I do). You'll see a difference. I use Trax on the lid, Satin Taupe on 3/4 of lid up to brow bone and then Shadowy Lady in outer V and crease. Hope this helps everyone.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Phloof! (frost; Hollidazzle)
DannyMAC 4/19/2011 2:38:00 PM
Hey ladies! Dan here. Wonderful highlight color! I used to use Shroom for most clients and once I picked up Phloof!, I haven't put it down. I see a lot of ladies using this as a inner corner color, but one of my favorite uses, is to dab some right above the upper lip. Try it and let me know what you think! Have fun :)

Lipstick -MAC - Candy Yum-Yum
DannyMAC 4/9/2011 12:19:00 AM
GO BUY IT! I almost walked away because I had Pink Nouveau in my collection. Not even close. This a bright, neon, TOXIC pink color and it leaves a beautiful stain after. Perfect for summer. I think on clients this year, I'll use this with clear gloss and a black liquid/fluidline liner on the eyes. It's hot and from reading previous reviews, it will go fast. Go check it out. Pick up St. Germain if you can. It was sold out when I went. Good luck, ladies!

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
DannyMAC 3/22/2011 3:20:00 PM
Hello. Male makeup artist here. I recently purchased this for my wife and she is in love! She does not have very big eyelids, so when she wears any shadow it tends to crease on her. Not only do products not crease on her, but she likes that she can build this color to any intensity she wants with just the paint pot. It's a great color and anything will look great on top of it. Try building a black base (fluidline) on the lids over Bare Study, then foil with pigment in "Tan". Looks amazing!

Highlighters -MAC - strobe liquid
DannyMAC 3/22/2011 3:08:00 PM
HG of moisturizers for oily skinned people like me. I have to say as a male makeup artist, we all need to look our best, even if we don't have time for makeup. I am Moroccan/French descent (NW 30) and get very oily (winter/summer all of it!) I recently have been using this UNDER my studio sculpt foundation for myself. It gives that amazing "J.Lo" dewy look that so many of my clients want without looking greasy/sparkly. This is a great investment and as an oily person, this controlled my own shine very well. My oily peeps know, you can put powder on for days and you'll just look muddy, so why not embrace the shine and look GLAM! Seriously. Even if you are running late, swipe some on and you'll look 100x better. I use my Mac 190 to apply it and a little goes a long way!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
DannyMAC 3/22/2011 2:59:00 PM
I am a male makeup artist and actor, and sometimes need to do my face for photos or events. This is one of the best foundations I have found for myself. On clients, I ususally go with Full Coverage or Face Atelier foundation. When I first purchased this for myself, I swear, the first 3 times I squeezed out too much and wasted it (and I thought it was only a little.) When I say this goes a long way, I mean it. Basically a dab (pea sized) is all you need, unless you want a more full coverage look. My new thing is using strobe liquid underneath the foundation and it gives that awesome, fresh, "J.Lo" looking dewiness and NOT greasy at all. I have very oily skin, especially my nose and forehead and I haven't had any issue with this product yet. I use a Mac 190 for both products.
