Cleansers -Shiseido - Benefiance Creamy Cleansing Foam

Been using this for about a month and I love it. It says it's designed for very very dry skin, so I was a little nervous to try it (I have normal-combination skin), but it ended up working really well for me. I do not see how it can be used for people with dry skin though because it can be a little drying... Since using this, I have not had any large pimples. It seems to stop pimples in their tracks! Maybe because it dries them up?? So I'll now get the occassional TOTM pimple here and there, but they stay small and go away quickly when using this facewash. The scent is strong, but I don't mind it since scents don't usually bother me unless they smell bad. It foams up REALLY well, which I like. And it washes away clean, no residue at all... my face just feels nice and clean! It's very expensive for a facewash though, and I usually wouldn't spend money on something that washes down the drain after being on my face for only a few minutes, but if it keeps up its performance in controlling breakouts, I think it's totally worth it!!

Liquid -Stila - Pivotal Skin Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

I am impressed! This foundation seemed to look better and better as the day progressed. I had it on for a total of 16 hours (friend's wedding and reception). Since I was at my boyfriend's parents' house, I didn't have my makeup with me to reapply between wedding and reception party. But I didn't need it! I even took a nap with it on and my makeup still looked fresh by the end of the night. AND it didn't cause breakouts! I am very pleased with this! I applied using a brush though because I didn't like the idea of using my fingers to apply foundation. I also seek out products with sun protection, so the added SPF 8 in this foundation is a plus! The only thing I didn't like was that it felt a little heavy on my face (even though it didn't look heavy or cakey). Then again, I've yet to find a foundation that doesn't feel at least a little heavy... Will rebuy if nothing better comes my way! (Packaging is really cute too.)

Gels/Soaps -Artistry - spa collection

Overrated. It smells like airfreshener (I don't see how the scent can be relaxing) and for its price, does nothing special for the skin. I finished the bottle and ended up using about 3/4 of it to wash my FEET because I found d/s bodywashes were far more moisturizing for my body. Big waste of money.. blegh.

Not a fan. Didn't seem to do much for my face... I used the whole thing up but only because it was so expensive. I didn't particularly like the smell or the consistency of it. I'm thankful that it didn't break me out though. Will not be purchasing again.

Moisturizers -Biore - Pore Minimizing Lightweight Moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
Daizie351 10/20/2007 12:44:00 AM

I loved the way this made my skin feel! It did NOT make my face look or feel oily, which is really impressive because ALL SPF moisturizers make me look shiny! It comes in such a cute and convenient pump bottle. Easy to travel with as you can turn the nozzle to open or lock it. The consistency of the moisturizer itself is not thick. If anything, it's a little runny... which I'll totally take over a creamy one that makes me look oily. I personally like the smell. One gripe I have with it is that it has done nothing in terms of minimizing my pores. Aside from that, this is a winner!

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Benefiance Luminizing Day Essence SPF 24
rated 5 of 5

This stuff is amazing. I was beginning to think that SPF 15 would be the highest I could go in a facial moisturizer because SPF always makes my skin look SO oily. In fact, I was thinking of going lower or just leaving the whole SPF part out of my moisturizer. Thankfully, my mom got me hooked on Shiseido products and I ran across reviews on this amazing facial lotion! SPF 24, hooray for more protection and a matte finish!! I've been using it for about one week now and am still loving it. Goes on super creamy and makes my skin feel silky! The packaging itself is really hygienic and easy to travel around with. Brightening and luminizing effect? I think it's still too soon to tell... It's pretty expensive but if the results hold up, I will probably rebuy. (For those who also suffer from oily skin as a result of SPF, I find that Biore's pore minimizing SPF 15 lotion is the best drugstore one out there!)

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm - Daily UV Lotion

Definitely protects against sunburn. I went golfing over the summer and this was the only thing I had lying around for sun protection. I didn't think it would do much but put it on anyways.. couldn't hurt! I put it on everywhere but my back. The next day, I noticed that my back was really sunburned, but the rest of myself was fine! I was very impressed at how well it protected the rest of my body (including shoulders... those always burn so easily!!). Added perk of moisturizer and you've got a winner!

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Hydra Complete Multi-Level Moisture Creme(Dry Skin)

The consistency is really greasy. I only used this as a nightcream. It made my face look REALLY oily and shiny after application. But by morning, my face no longer had a shine to it and I'm assuming (and hoping) that that means it soaked into my skin overnight. Unfortunately, after a week of using this, I broke out pretty badly! I stopped using it and cleared up within a few days.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Blackberry Eyeshadow

I love this shade! It is my trusty fallback color that seems to work well for any occassion. I know that it definitely does something for my eyes without looking like too much makeup because a guy said to me, "hey, you look different today... did you do something with your hair or something??" when I put this on for school one day! Will be buying this again SOON, I'm sure!

Styling Products -TiGi - Ego Boost

My friend let me try this once and I thought it was really good at the time.. felt like my hair was softer. But I'm beginning to think that that was a flook and maybe something else I did that day made my hair soft because after actually investing in my own bottle, I find that my hair still feels normal, definitely not more moisturized. My hair is still frizzy after dry-down, even when I put this stuff in after my shower, and my fly-aways are far from controlled. This didn't damage my hair and I didn't mind the smell so much... just wish it did something (anything) special for my hair. Won't buy again as I can probably find something better for less money.

:( Very greasy... I figured it would be okay, but after 4 hours of wearing it, my face was so oily. I could tell that my pores were starting to get clogged so I had to rewash my face. Was hoping to really like this one too! :( Still on the search for a good moisturizer with SPF...

Shave Products -Aveeno - Positively Smooth Shave Gel
rated 4 of 5
Daizie351 10/6/2007 3:14:00 AM

Best shave gel I've tried. I don't know about thinning my hair or anything, but it definitely makes my legs smooth and I don't experience any nicks, ingrown hairs, or razor burns when I use this (woohoo!). It smells good too... it doesn't smell like that nasty shave gel smell that other brands have. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it.. it seems to last longer than other gels too, so that helps balance the price out a bit. Only bad thing about it is that the can tends to rust easily in the shower, which is really annoying.

Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Skintimate Shaving Gel
rated 2 of 5
Daizie351 10/6/2007 3:07:00 AM

This did not prevent me from nicks or razor burns! And it smells gross! No matter what scent I buy, they all have that same Skintimate scent.. which isn't a good thing. Bought it because of its low price, but will not be buying again.

Eyeliner -Almay - Amazing Lasting 16 Hour Eye Pencil in Precise Black
rated 5 of 5
Daizie351 10/5/2007 8:05:00 PM

LOVE. Of all my eyeliners, this one holds up the best! And I love that you don't need to sharpen it.. just twist it up! The lead is pretty thin so I can draw nice fine lines. Lasts throughout the day (even when I'm in class for twelve hours!)... love it. Will buy again and again and again!

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blitz and Glitz
rated 4 of 5
Daizie351 10/5/2007 8:02:00 PM

My roomate suggested that I buy myself this since eyeliners tend to smudge easily on me (oily eyelids??). I like it a lot! It takes longer to apply than regular eyeliner, but the color is so much bolder and the line finer... and it has pretty good staying power! I use it when I'm getting ready to go out somewhere, otherwise, I'm too lazy to whip out my brush and stuff. Too bad the stuff tends to dry in the pots... I would definitely buy this again!
