Shampoo -LUSH - Godiva Solid 2 in 1
DANCINGGAL 11/19/2008 1:51:00 AM
I got this with Seanik, as it was a more moisturising option. I alternate between the two, depending on my hair. If it's greasy, I use Seanik and if it needs moisturising, I use this. Very easy and fun to use, and the smell is unbelivably yummy. I do use this with Jungle afterwards, my hair is long, thick, curly and frizzy, and I really need extra conditioning, although much less since I've started using Lush products. My hair is much lighter and better conditioned, and it dries a lot quicker. I'd definately give this a go, my mum has started stealing all my Lush stuff!

Shampoo -LUSH - Seanik
DANCINGGAL 11/19/2008 1:48:00 AM
This stuff is great. I got this and Godiva solid shampoos, and alternate depending on what my hair is doing. If it's feeling greasy, I use this. It gets all the grease out, and doesn't dry it out. I particularly like how this shampoo puck looks like it will seriously last forever. I've had it for about eight months now, and it's just starting to show signs of wear. Also, the smell of the ocean is yummy, and it's fun to use. Definately give it a go.

Conditioner -LUSH - Jungle
DANCINGGAL 11/19/2008 1:45:00 AM
After Retread became too heavy for my hair (because it totally moisturised it and repaired it!) I went back to Lush wanting to try something new. Jungle is lighter than Retread, and I definately prefer the smell. You don't need much, but I'd suggest melting it slighty in hot water first, then rubbing it into your ends. After that, I just rub it through the rest of my hair, and then finger comb it through. After a few minutes, I wash it out. The best thing about Lush's hair products is my hair is a lot lighter thanks to the lack of product build-up I was experiencing with other brands, and dries a lot quicker. I have crazy, thick, frizzy, curly hair which I straighten a lot. My hair has definately calmed down a heap since using Lush hair stuff. On a closing note, don't expect your hair to feel amazing in the shower. As your hair dries, you can really see a difference.

Conditioner -LUSH - Retread
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 1:44:00 AM
Ok, I marked this product as 'I wouldn't buy again', but that's because now I don't need to. This stuff totally tamed my crazy, out of control, curly, frizzy hair. I started out having to use quite a bit, but quickly downgraded to smaller and smaller portions. Now my hair is smooth and well conditioned, I don't even need to use this anymore! Now I use Jungle, which I actually prefer the smell of. I've passed this onto my mum who has very similar hair to mine, but I would use this as a monthly treatment or if my hair was super dry or something. UPDATE!: My mother is currently obsessed with this. She thinks it makes her scalp feel super cool, which is a very good thing considering we are in Australia, it's summer and she gets heat flushes. Also, her hair looks the best it has in years, if ever.

Hair Styling Tools -GHD - Original GHD Hairstyling Iron with Ceramic Technology
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:42:00 AM
LOVE my GHD, like I suspect most women do. My hair is literally crazy, curly and frizzy, and this makes me look like I've stepped out of a salon. I wash my hair and let it air dry, and then straighten it all over with this. Is incredibly fast and leaves my hair really shiny and sleek. Love anything which makes my life easier. If you don't have one, you need one right now.

Hair -Klorane - Dry shampoo
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:39:00 AM
This stuff has been a life saver. My hair is so annoying and takes forever to dry, so I'm washing it twice a week. However, it can get greasy at the roots, especially after exercising, so the mornings after I don't wash it, I've been spraying this at the roots, combing it through, and then running my GHD over anything that looks ungroomed. Looks freshy styled. Not so into the smell - it's like hairspray, but it's ok and seems to fade fairly quickly. Cheap, and the bottle has lasted me a few months now.

Scrubs -LUSH - Ocean Salt
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:15:00 AM
I'm using this as a weekly body scrub, especially after waxing my legs. Very creamy, and the salt dissolves onto your leg very nicely. I think my hair and skin looks great after I've been swimming in the ocean, so there must be something in using products which contain sea salt. Am looking forward to having Rub Rub Rub Shower Gel come out here, as I think using that will be more cost effective. I use this very occasionally on my face, only in summer.

Moisturizers -LUSH - Cosmetic Lad
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:12:00 AM
So far, I'm loving it. I have very sensitive skin which breaks out easily, and manages to be both dry and oily. This has helped calm it down, without glugging it up. My skin feels really soft and smooth, and not itchy, which it had a tendency to do. No break outs yet. You only have to use the tiniest amount, which makes it really cost effective. I'm currently using this just as a night cream. Hmmmm, and the smell is delish!

Cleansers -LUSH - Aqua Marina Cleansing Roll
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:09:00 AM
This is a really great cleanser. I have the craziest skin ever - dry, yet still manages to be shiny and breaks out. So I guess you could describe it as being sensitive. Most cleansers either dry me out or don't do a great job cleaning me up. This manages to be extremely gentle on my skin, as well as ensuring all the muck of the day is gone. My skin feels great, and looks much better, is clearer and glowy. If you have problem skin that doesn't seem to fit a category easily, or needs to be calmed down, this is a good bet.

Liquid -Becca - Luminous Skin Color sheer foundation
DANCINGGAL 11/18/2008 12:02:00 AM
This stuff is really expensive ($68 Aussie) but definately worth it as it lasts a whole year for me using it everyday, and when I compare that to buying foundation at around $35 a pop every three months, it seems very cost effective. Not only that, it's fantastically good for your skin, leaving it super soft and moisturised and protecting it from the sun. I was using this as a primer, but have since started using it by itself and my skin looks amazing. No breakouts, and I only need to use a squirt or two to cover my face. I love this stuff, hope they never, ever get rid of it. For reference, I'm using it in Nut (am a NC 42-44).

Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Veet Ready to Use Wax Strips - Normal to Dry Skin
DANCINGGAL 10/7/2008 1:45:00 AM
I actually really liked this product. I was apprehensive, reading all the bad reviews on the web, but I'm over shaving, waxing in a salon is too expensive, and other products are messy and inconvenient. A friend of mine who has been using these for a while recommended them, so I gave them a go. Very glad I did. They were super easy to use, you just heat them in your hands, smooth them onto the leg and pull it off. I didn't have any bad experiences with left over wax on the leg, and it wasn't that painful, less painful in fact than going to the salon. I did have to go over and pluck a couple of strays, but the salon ladies usually do that anyway. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from people who haven't really had much experience with waxing, so perhaps if you are a waxing virgin, get desensitived and used to the idea of waxing at a salon, and when you are more comfortable, give these a go. If you are ok with waxing, or waxing right now, give these a shot. These are on my MUST HAVE list now, lol, I don't think I'll be able to live without them!

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula
DANCINGGAL 4/1/2008 6:09:00 AM
I love this stuff to death. I use it all over my body and face, and it is always in my handbag to use on my hands. It leaves me completely soft and because of the Vitamin E in the formula, is also great at smoothing away dark marks that are left over from blemishes. I think I will be using this stuff for the rest of my life! Pity it doesn't contain SPF because then it would be the most perfect beauty product ever.

Lipstick -Clinique - Almost lipstick
DANCINGGAL 4/1/2008 1:46:00 AM
I have always had serious trouble finding a lipstick to match my skin tone and look natural, as I am quite baby faced, and most lipsticks make me look far too over done. In general, I favour a natural, polished look. This lipstick is a staple of mine now, having just purchased it a few weeks ago in Black Honey. I used to apply light foundation, and thinly line the top and bottom lashes, and then add some lip gloss. This look worked fine for the weekend, but when I started working, I needed a stronger lip colour to make me look more groomed. After a tireless search, I read about this lipstick in a magazine and decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did. The colour is not too strong, more like an enhancement of my natural lip colour. It isn't overly pigmented, but can be applied numerous times in order to achieve a darker colour. The texture is moisturising and soft, without being too heavy or sticky. Although it is not a long lasting lipstick because of its sheer nature, the fact that it can be reapplied without a mirror, because of the subtleness of the colour, is perfect for being on the run. Not only do I use it for work, I find myself applying it on the weekends too, because it is so versatile, it can compliment the most casual outfits and make up to the most formal. It is honestly the most perfect lipstick I could hope for. Am extremely impressed and am convinced I will be buying this for the rest of my life.
