Liquid -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup
CydneyN 10/30/2010 9:36:00 PM
I'm sixteen and I was skeptical of buying a lifting foundation, but after a horrible experience with MAC Select SPF 15 foundation, combined with these stellar reviews, I decided to give L'Oreal a try. I'm slightly less orange than NC44, and I bought Honey Beige. It matches perfectly. Its silky, smooth, and blends easily. The best thing about this foundation is its satin finish and it lasted perfectly through a two mile power walk in direct sunlight. I'd say it would last for 18 hours on dry/normal skin, maybe slightly less time on oily skin, but its still overall amazing. I recommend this foundation to EVERYONE. At about $15, its a lot for a drugstore foundation, but it works better than high end brands. Love it!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
CydneyN 10/10/2010 7:33:00 PM
Yesterday I went out to Target to pick up L'Oreal Voluminous after hearing great things about it, but I saw Voluminous MILLION Lashes and of course I had to try it. The mascara is pretty wet, which can be a problem. If you open your eyes too wide or sneeze or something, you're going to get mascara all over your eyelids and cheeks. So give it ample time to dry. Anyways, this mascara is comparable to Rimmel SexyCurves, except its much more dramatic and looks like I applied false lashes. I applied THREE coats, and it barely clumped at all. Very lengthening, and seperates like a dream. I'd say its more of a defining and lengthening mascara than a volumizing one. Overall, this mascara is a very good purchase for someone who wants crazy long, black, doll-like lashes. At $7.99 its not too expensive and can be built up to your desired look. Very buildable. (:

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Love Nectar
CydneyN 8/20/2010 4:13:00 AM
I bought this product sometime around January 2010 and I wear it pretty often, I'm more of a matte lips girl but I find this is the perfect pairing with just mascara and sunscreen! I'm an NC44, and the shade is perfect. I think it matches almost any skin tone. Its a really great product for the price, but I don't think I'd buy it again as I love experimenting too much!

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer - Springsheen
CydneyN 8/17/2010 5:54:00 AM
I don't use this product everyday, but that's just because I'm more of a bronzer person. This blush is fantastic. It resembles Nars Orgasm, but less orange and less glittery, which is a good thing. It works on many skin tones. For instance, I'm NC44 and it blends perfectly into my skin, doesn't streak, and doesn't turn red like so many other pink toned blushes can. The gold shimmer is very low key, not too obvious at all. I usually apply this on top of my Victoria's Secret bronzer in Natural for a more flushed, pretty look. Overall, this is a wonderful buy if you want a sheer peachy pink blush with gold shimmer, and its not very expensive at all. Love it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Gilt by Association
CydneyN 8/17/2010 5:45:00 AM
I LOVE THIS! It is soo beautiful. This was my first MAC eyeshadow, and I'm so glad I purchased it when I did because its limited edition. For school I created cat eyes with Covergirl Line Exact liquid liner, and used a flat eyeshadow brush from Sonia Kashuk to go over the liner with this gorgeous shadow, and it really adds some variety and unique-ness to your everyday cat eye look. Then for night, I just smudge more onto my eyelid, up to my crease, add a little gold shimmering eyeshadow to my tear ducts and browbone, and I'm done! Perfect smokey eye. This is my favorite eyeshadow.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
CydneyN 8/16/2010 10:10:00 AM
I purchased this product just a few days ago and I'm already enamoured with it. I bought number 003, which is Extremely Black, and it really is a dark, dense black color. The brush is very unique and the plastic bristles make it very easy to feel where I'm going with the wand so I don't smudge. After applying this mascara, my eyelashes look defined, dark, dense, thick, long, and very volumized. So far this has not clumped, and its VERY buildable. The packaging is pretty cute, its a shiny chrome purple and you actually get a lot of product for your money. I purchased this for around $7 including tax. I love to experiment with new mascaras, but I think I would buy this again and I strongly recommend it.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
CydneyN 8/16/2010 9:58:00 AM
A few months ago I purchased a Fekkai kit that included shampoo, conditioner, and this glossing cream. I save it for special occasions, though the kit was only around $25, the products sold seperately are around $22 each. I am very impressed with this product. A very small dot of cream through my strands transforms my hair from dull and frizzy to shiny and put together. Its not too greasy or oily and dries very quickly. This cream is more suited for straight or wavy hair, or damp curly hair. It can also calm flyaways and add shine to relaxed hair. The only thing "wrong" with this product is its price tag. I have the two ounce size that is included in the limited edition kit, the $22 one is obviously much bigger, but its still considered a splurge. I would definitely buy this product again.

Loose Powders -MAC - Select Sheer Loose Powder
CydneyN 8/16/2010 7:39:00 AM
I first bought this product around two years ago; it was my first MAC product. My shade is NC40, and it is PERFECT. It blends beautifully, its very finely ground and smooth. I apply it with a large Sonia Kashuk powder brush in circular motions all over my face for matte coverage, or just lightly over my T-Zone for a dewy finish. I can't recall the price, I believe its around $22, and very worth it. The only problem with this product is that it has rather large sifting holes, so too much product comes out when you tap the top or when you shake it. This can easily be fixed by leaving the sticker on top of the premade holes, and taking a safety pin to punch new, smaller, more precise holes, and viola! Perfect! I definitely recommend this product!

Liquid -MAC - Select SPF 15 Foundation
CydneyN 8/16/2010 7:28:00 AM
A few months ago I purchased MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation in NC44. First of all, the makeup artist who prescribed this color to me was an idiot, as it seemed too orange at first and just generally too dark. As summer came along and I got a bit of a tan, it matches nearly perfectly. That said, I am pretty happy with this product. Its sheer, very wearable, and leaves my patchy skin smooth and even. If you wait too long to blend, it can dry and become caked in that spot. I apply it with a rather cheap EcoTools large foundation brush and it blends very well, I find that it actually looks BETTER after a few hours! I can wear this to P.E., out running errands or shopping during the summer, and it stays put pretty well! If you have dry/normal skin, this foundation is for you. Its smooth, creamy, and stays put for up to 16 hours, as long as you blot! (:
