They really need to get some lighter shades! I've emailed them a time or two, so please do the same if the shade is an issue. I'm using the light/medium but I have to buff or blend a lighter color foundation around my hairline to make this work for me. I love that it has a physical sunscreen of 30, it has great coverage, and moisturizes very well for my norm-dry skin. This would be perfect for me bc it's a sunscreen and foundation in one, need more shades! Plus, you have to shake it very thoroughly and that will cut down on the heaviness/greasy feel. It feels great on me even though I wear a moisturizer underneath. Now the powder.... with this.... the powder heavily sticks to it and dulls it out. I can't wear it at all.
This has saved my hair! I have bleached it twice (one short time and one long time), and dyed it three times in a couple of months span. I removed a dark dyed color and now have a near-to-my natural color. It was very, very damaged. So damaged I couldn't run my fingers through it and it never felt detangled in when wet with conditioner on it. This leaves my hair looking like REAL hair, not damaged hair! It has a shine that looks natural, the luminous they talk about does show. After the first use I was so impressed, it keeps getting better with each use. I am so happy with this stuff! I also use shine drops by Fantasia, which I have for months. My only gripe is they need a bigger bottle, love this. A life saver.
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet
CyborgAnnie 2/23/2013 6:37:00 PM
My favorite lip butter at the moment. It's very pigmented, with this one it can easily look like a full type lipstick but with the comfortablity of a lip butter. This color is very rich and deep. I was pleasantly surprised by how dark it is. Absolutely beautiful color. If you feel this is too dark, just add sheerly or only add to top or bottom lip and a clear chapstick on the other lip ad blend. I think this color could also be called "Dr. Pepper Lips". Beautiful...
Wow. This applies so smoothly and then sets for the day. This color is a beautiful teal. I've been tight lining with L'Oreal gel in navy between my lashes using the under technique, (I see the L'Oreal navy as a soft black also, it is a true dark navy & it is also great), then I apply this on the lashline. I want the vibrancy of this teal and the dark lash line also. I will definitely be buying more of these! I usually only use ds liners, but this is so far beyond them that I will pay more for this perfection. So easy to use...
Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20

This could be my hg, finally! Pros: It can be sheer to medium coverage, it may even be able to be full but I haven't tried that out yet. I can build up the coverage very easily. I apply, let dry then apply one more time and it doesn't feel heavy and still looks really nice and natural. I apply the second bc I have spots and areas of discoloration and the second application buffers it to the right amount. Great tone. I have a slight yellow under tone and this is perfect, I am also fair so it's hard to find the right blend. I have been using NARS Glow and MAC Studio Sculpt and both run very yellow. For me this is easier to use than the Glow, spreads better looks more natural, and feels better on my skin. Plus it's a third of the price. I am using 2 parts Classic Ivory to 1 part Nude to get the right color and tone. Buff looked like it had a pink under tone, not sure if that is true, but I will look into it. This glides on so nicely I was shocked. Finally, finally. The cons: Wish it came in a pump or tube, I hate open bottles. The only other con I had is that I wish they had more of a shade selection. These companies really need to amp it up and offer more shade selections even if it's only available online. This is the best drugstore foundation I have found so far that provides great coverage, natural finish, great tone, feels great on the skin, applies great, blends great, and offers a good physical spf (I may try to use a zinc spf under for a full broad spectrum protection). Do not look over this bc of the "sheer" reviews. It is very build-able. I have melasma (pregnancy mask on forehead, the cheek area has faded over the course of about three years), and I also have some spots here and there. Two layers and this covers them nicely (not completely) without looking fake or heavy.
Liquid -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Age Defying - Liquid

Pros: Moisturizing, line smoothing, evens skin tone, buffs imperfections, feels great on the skin. Cons: Changes color, darkens, low spf. It would be perfect if they fixed the cons, errrr.
Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
CyborgAnnie 1/3/2013 12:32:00 PM
This is definitely a staple mascara. Adds really good volume while staying natural looking. Last all the day & is so easy to work with. I put this in the same range as Neutrogena Healthy Volume WP, both are really nice. At the moment Drugstore.com has Maybelline at buy one get one off so pick one up & a color tattoo too! My favorite is Bad To The Bronze, it's a beautiful taupe. Easy to use, last all day & has a nice sheen to it.
Changed color on me, darkened into orange.
FINALLY! Finally found a deodorant that works. The usual commercail mainstream products would leave me with a funk mid/late day. May be my chemistry? I had been using plain baking soda which worked well, but a bit messy. This has a tendency to stay wet if you apply it heavily. If I do I just pat it with my fingers or a cloth. This works really well, can be found a lot of places and is only aroun $3. I'm so happy with this, finally!
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Navy
CyborgAnnie 12/27/2012 1:26:00 PM
This is a keeper! I've been using the Maybelline gel liner in black, which is good but this one is better. This is a true deep navy (leans dark- resembles a soft black to me, if you brush it on paper you can easily see a blue hue, but this is not blue blue). I've also used a gel liner from Sally's, it was great but dried up within a month or so in the pot-it was ob clearance, so it could have been due to age. I now know if you warm these up under a hair dryer it will soften it again for a few weeks-check out Youtube for that tip & others on gel liners. L'Oreal Gel Liner Vs Maybelline: Both are very creamy, pigmented, and long lasting. L'Oreals formula is as creamy, but is thicker/firmer and easier to use. L'Oreal also is less likely to smudge & it is less likely for you to get an excessive amount. To save the moniez, search your local drug stores on line for sales. Also check online drug stores bc at the moment there are REALLY good sales happening now, but also remember s&h can add up. These are est $8ish where I live, but Walgreens is doing buy one, get one 50% off. I will be getting bronze and black very soon. I'll still show love to Maybelline and pick up the Eggplant & the blue one for the brightness of them. So search your local drug store ads online and give this a try!
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof
CyborgAnnie 12/10/2012 1:55:00 PM
This is the best mascara I have come across in some time, but at first I hated it! My usal for over a decade was L'Oreal Voluminous wp. I also like Maybelline Full & Soft wp & Neutrogena Healthy Volume wp. The Colossal dries faster so I have learned to do one eye at a time and comb through lashes with a metal eyelash comb. The wand is great, not the little plastic one but the actual wand It's stiff and does a nice job w separation on it's on, with using a comb also I get perfectly separated lashes. The black is very black and this stuff lasts all day! Comes off easily w Pond's cold cream. This mascara is really tough, it stays on all day even though I wear a med/heavy lotion & hi spf. It gives very nice volume and length. I was really happy & surprised when I got into a routine with this. The best I've used and never leaves me with the racoonies! Love it.
Moisturizers -St. Ives - Collagen-Elastin Essential Moisturizer
CyborgAnnie 12/1/2012 11:40:00 AM
This is such a false advertised product. You'd assume that it would be rich & creamy but is actually almost like a gel type lotion. It absorbed really fast and then provided no real relief at all. My skin is norm to dry prone, no flakes or irritation just skin feeling a bit dry at times. I knew this was a low.cost product but I can't even seem to repurpose it, it is even too lite for my hands! I may add a wop of oil and try it as a foot cream or something? Thankfully this was only 4 dollars.
This is one if those smells I like to smell, but never wear. It's so sweet and strong to me.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow Bottomless Java 800
CyborgAnnie 11/1/2012 7:52:00 PM
Wonderful rich m, warm brown. Very smooth, perfect when applied with fingers. I love using this in my outter v and in the inner corner. Nice shimmer, no glitter chunks.
Instant eye brightening. I love the sheen to this and it's wonderful texture. I have found that it works best for me when I pat it on with my finger tips. I love using this in combo with amber rush and a very black tightline. Beautiful.
