Lotions/ Creams -TiGi - Oatmeal Cookie Body Lotion

Like most other reviewers, I bought this lotion for the smell alone. It is amazingly realistic! I knew I was getting a great quality lotion with this product, I just wanted it to moisturize decently and I would have been happy to use it just for the smell. I have to say I ended up throwing this in the trash. My skin got dry mere minutes after application. I would apply more (especially on my hands) again and again and without fail, my skin would feel dry and uncomfortable within a few minutes. Even if it smells great, it's not worth the hassle to me to reapply constantly. In short, this is a really poor quality lotion, with a great smell. If you can live with that, go for it. I'll stick with BBW and TBS for great smelling, nicely moisturizing lotions.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to review Buffy. I have been using it for a few years now and I keep coming back to it. I love it! So much so, that I have stopped looking for other body scrubs. And I am a product junkie that loves to try lots of products so that should tell you something! Buffy has everything I want in a scrub: it exfoliates without hurting, it moisturizes, it smells good, it's easy to use and foolproof. I also love that it's in a solid shape, there is no waste that way and I can use every last sliver of it with no packaging to throw away. I believe Buffy is one of Lush's best products.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this soap. I received a sample slice with a purchase in store and wasn't expecting much since I'm not a huge fan of mint. I put this soap next to the sink and thought it would be a pain to use up but it actually was quite pleasant. I lathered well, smelled very nicely of mint and something herbal (fennel?) and left my hands nicely refreshed. I might buy some more during my next visit to the Lush store, to continue using at the sink. I works very well at deodorizing hands. A very nice surprise overall.
I am very impressed with this polish. I bought a transparent one about a year and a half ago and I am still using it. All of my other polishes (OPI, Orly, Rimmel, etc.) become thick and unusable after a few months and I end up wasting about a half bottle. Not with this Bourjois polish. I have seen no change in its consistency in 18 months! I'm coming to the end of the bottle and I love that I was able to use it all instead of throwing half of it away. Another great thing about this polish is how shiny and beautiful it looks on my nails. I know what you are thinking, that transparent is transparent and that there can't be too many differences between brands of transparent polish but I swear to you, this polish looks better than any other transparent polish. Finally, I love the bottle and the click mechanism that lets you know that the bottle is closed all the way. I will repurchase this shade and others without any reservation.
I'm always searching for a very moisturizing body wash that'll allow me to skip moisturizer after the shower (takes a long time, leaves my skin sticky, etc.) I bought the Rosewood and Cocoa Butter one on a whim and I love it! It creates lots of really rich foam, smells great and strong and leaves my skin really silky and smooth. I've been using it for about a week and I haven't used lotion once during this time and my skin (even on my legs) is in great shape! I'm going to stock up on this and try the other versions, for variety. I can't recommend this body wash enough if you have dry skin!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Mint Lip Care Stick [DISCONTINUED]
CurlsExperiment 8/13/2007 6:27:00 AM
I love this lipbalm! It is so refreshing and pleasant in the summer. The taste/scent is fantastic, very fresh and minty. It applies smoothly and hydrates quite well. I love that it leaves my lips slightly shiny too. I don't wear any lip product other than lip balm so I do try and apply something that is a little shiny.
My only problem with this lip balm is that it is unpleasant to use in winter. The minty scent combined with the cold gives me the impression that my lips are freezing. For that reason, I only use this in the summer.
Also, the price is very reasonable and some of the profits go to charity so that makes me even more happy and willing to buy this lip balm. I have a few that I keep around the house, purse, at my desk, etc. and I'll no doubt repurchase if they're still around.
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter
CurlsExperiment 8/13/2007 6:21:00 AM
While I'd much prefer it if this lip butter came in a tube, I've accepted the packaging because I like the product so much. It is a smooth butter that leaves lips hydrated and slightly shiny. It has a wonderful fresh grapefruity taste. And while a tube would be more convenient, the little pink jar is quite cute. I'm very happy with this lip butter!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Olive Body Butter
CurlsExperiment 8/13/2007 6:15:00 AM
This is a great moisturizer. It is marketed as a butter for normal/dry skin but it is really quite moisturizing. If your skin is truly normal and/or you live in a hot or humid climate, I think this will be too heavy for you.
I own several of the body butters and I love the Olive one for its fantastic fresh, green, clean scent. It is very smooth and buttery in texture. It is on the creamy side compared to, for instance, the shea or coconut butters which are almost solid. The ingredients are very good, including olive oil, shea butter and cocoa butter.
In brief, this is a fantastic product that I've enjoyed for a couple of years already and that I keep repurchasing when I am out.
This is one of my favorite shades of nail polish. I am very pale with yellow undertones and it looks wonderful on me. This is one of the few polishes that I've actually come close to finishing, it just got sticky and thick towards the end. If I ever run into this shade again, I'll buy a few back ups!
Treatments -Sally Hansen - Instant Cuticle Remover

I love this product! I have pretty stubborn cuticles that tend to grow onto my nails and this product takes care of the problem really well. I apply it to one hand, use the thumb nail of my other hand to push the cuticle. Then I rinse that hand and repeat the process on the other side. My cuticles are loosened and pushed away from the nail. Finally, I clip the cuticles and I am left with much nicer looking hands and nails. I've had my little bottle for about a year and although I use it regularly, I still have plenty left. I definitely plan on replacing it when I run out.
I tested this lipstick in the store and fell in love with a couple of beautiful shades. I bought a few colors of this lipstick and was disappointed. While the colors were nicely pigmented, I found that they really dried out my lips. Even with my usual lip balm underneath, my lips got noticeably drier. Also, I really didn't like the packaging. It's bulky and cheap looking and after a couple of days, cracked where the top and bottom parts meet. I wouldn't repurchase.
I'm torn about this lip balm. I love how easy it applies and smoothes on and leaves my lips slightly shiny. I also love the simple and practical packaging and the fact that it is SPF 15. However, I find that it has an unpleasant scent and I invariably manage to taste some of it when I drink something. I'm still using it a lot and will finish it but I think I'll look for another lip balm once it's gone, one without the bad smell/taste.
This, like most body butters from The Body Shop, is a fantastic product. I own a bunch of the fruity/nutty/sweet ones but picked this one up because of the fantastic neutral scent. I really don't get any patchouli from this, just a soft earthy scent. I figured it would be easy to layer this with a number of my perfumes. Moisture wise, I'd say that it is one of the most moisturizing butters...I'm very happy with this purchase and I'd definitely buy it again when it runs out.
Styling Products -Back to Basics - Green Tea Smoothing Elixir

This is a fantastic product for my thick, long curly hair. I do not straighten my hair, but this smoothes down my curls, take all frizz away, and leaves my hair smooth, very shiny, frizz free. I spray a little spray gel on top for more hold, and I am set to go. I am very impressed with this! Believe me, I have tried dozens of brands for my very difficult hair. This is definitely the best, and the only thing I now use. I highly recommend it!
Shampoo -Back to Basics - Ginger Shampoo & Conditioner

My HG s&c. I have very difficult curly, thick, long, dry curly hair and this is the best I have used (believe me when I said that I tried dozens of brands!). My hair is soft, full and very shiny. My curls hold better and my hair is very healthy. I am so happy I finally found my HG hair products! I am not straying away from these.
