Eyeliner -Kat Von D - Tattoo Liner
CrudeAsphyxia 9/7/2011 2:07:00 PM
I love this liner! Kat did good on this one. I usually do not like pen like eyeliners as I personally feel I do not get as good of an outcome over the ink pot eyeliners (Autograph- which I did not particularly care for) I bought this liner in Trooper to try it and have not gone back to my old tried and true Revlon Color Stay. What sold me was the ease of use with this pen and the staying power. I had made a few lines on my hand to try the durability and as soon as I made a mark, it stayed which is great for the gal who rolls out of bed with "Day 2 Makeup" I'm not crazy about the price - $18.00 is a bit much for eyeliner no matter what brand, but I have now been using this pen for over 6 months and do not plan on going back to my old eyeliner unless Kat decides to discontinue this.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Proclaim Argan Oil - Hair Oil Treatment
CrudeAsphyxia 11/15/2010 9:40:00 PM
I had been hearing friends talk about argan oil and seen one just put some in her hair as a refresher. I was curious but not too curious about trying a new serum. I was at Sally's and the samples were on sale for $1.45 each so I bought two. Well I expected it to work well but not as well as it it did. I put a few quarter sized drops in my hands and worked through my damp hair ( I have thick course wavy hair) flat ironed it and was amazed that I did not have to add oil to each section I ironed ( which I usually do) I got a lot of compliments even on day two. In the morning I just needed to give a. quick fix to one small section in the front as I slept on it funny. At work I got compliments from people that never talk to Me! Anyway this stuff is awesome. Will be buying full size. Highly recommend if you've got similar hair.

Concealers -TheBalm - Time Balm
CrudeAsphyxia 8/31/2010 4:04:00 PM
Pro: Thick concealer for very stubborn circles Stays on all day Skin looks better Works well on other blemishes Con: Too orange on my skin (even with lightest of the light option available) Waxy/Oily feeling Terrible packaging decision (product gets really dirty) and like another user said.. reminds of a $0.99 product. Price This is a great concealer. I purchased it after looking for something to cover my hideous beatdown looking circles. I absolutely loved it at first. Great even coverage and it worked well under my Bare Minerals Eventually it started looking too orange on my skin and the product started getting really dirty even though I always clean my concealer brush. The little pad that comes with it disintegrated. I think it started drying out as it started caking even after moisturing and putting on my primer. I still have this concealer and really only use it now as a last resort. I havent thrown it away as I shelled out $18.00 for it. I would give it away but Im the fair one in my group of friends. I personally would not buy this again because I just dont like it on me and its a bit expensive. I have recomended this concealer to my girlfriends though and they liked it and it works well for them.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Guardian Angel Heat Protect N' Flatten Flat Iron Balm and Gloss Finish
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 6:03:00 PM
I did not like this product at all. I have used Heat protection sprays and serums. I tried this product because it was cheap at Walmart and came with a travel size and I needed something to protect my hair. I sprayed it on and started my process. My hair came out CRUNCHY.. as if I had sprayed the strands with hairspray and was straightening my hair with it. It left my hair feeling brittle. I have course hair anyway so it was even worse. I tried running my fingers through an dthen brushing... still crunchy.. terrible. I will not buy this product again.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Smooth Operator Smoothing Hairspray
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 5:58:00 PM
I got this hairspray at Walmart. The cost was a deciding factor ($2.00)as well as the fact that it came with a travel size. I honestly was not expecting much from this brand as I have used other Got 2 be products that I hated. This hairspray is very light. It works best for hair styles that are to remain touchable. I use it to spray my bangs into place. It does help with the stray fly aways and adds a nice bit of shine but I would not compare the holding power to the likes of Aqua Net. The smell is light, reminds me of candy in a way. If you need a stronger spray, this is no good but if you need it for a bit of hair (like bangs) then its a nice product.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Nailpolish Colors
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 5:51:00 PM
I love this polish. I dont get manicures or fake nails put on as I cant afford it. I love this polish because it is so quick to use that if my nails chip, I dont dread the process of repainting my nails. It does dry in SECONDS The brush is awesome. It is cut to fit the nail which makes it easy for coating in one stroke. I personally use two coats as some of the formulas are a bit thin. Rapid red is my current Fave. I also have Cinna-snap and the black color that I forget the name of right now. The clear coat is great. Keeps my nails from chipping for a few days. I have retired my Revlon polish and use the Insta-Dri line now.

Primer/ Corrector -Tarina Tarantino - pearl glow primer
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 5:41:00 PM
I love this primer! I was at Sephora looking for a highlighter and had originally planned on getting a powder highlighter as I don't do well with liquids. First, I tried a bit of this primer on the back of my hand and was very impressed. I don't like looking like I was raped by a glitter fairy so when I saw it on my skin.. I was pleased. It is a soft shimmer. You don't need a whole lot of it. I use 1 pump and it covers my whole face. I tried it on my face as I did not have make up on. Almost instantly my face was brighter and the redness I had disappeared. I didn't look like I was just dusted in pixie dust just more... radiant? My skin glowed. It was not oily and it stood up under my BareMinerals which was a huge plus for me as some other highlighters I had tried just disappeared. It is a bit expensive at $32.00 but it lasts. As mentioned earlier.. 1 pump..entire face covered. To me, there is a huge difference in my skin when I wear this primer and when I dont. When I dont, my skin looks a bit more tired and muted. When I wear it, I glow. I am now a fan.

Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Under Eye Concealer
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 5:31:00 PM
I bought this concealer on a whim as I have gnarley under eye circles that are accentuated by my fair skin. I had recently purchased "Time Balm" concealer from another line and it cost me $18.00 and at some point the concealer became way too orange for my skin. The Revlon ColorStay Under Eye Concealer cost me like 7 or 8 bucks at WalMart. The coverage is great. You only need a bit to cover and it blends well into the skin. I agree with another user that it does set to a powery finish which is great for me as all liquid like products tend to cake on me even with a whole skin prep routine involved. My friends instantly noticed my lack of a "tired" appearance and said my eyes were brighter. I will deffinately buy this again. my one complaint would be the amount you get in it. Although you dont need a lot.. its still not a lot of product for 7 or 8 dollars a pop. The Bonus? SPF 15!!!! I just love it when my cosmetics have SPF..less for me to put on!

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS
CrudeAsphyxia 8/30/2010 4:37:00 PM
I got this lip gloss as a bonus with my Sephora points for $10.00. It was originally like 22-25 bucks.. I don't remember the exact price as I wasn't really listening to the lady. I am NOT a gloss person but this was not as terrible as I expected it reminded me of the Mary Kay Time wise lip balm. The consistancy sticky but not too sticky for my liking. The pink shade I was left with was acceptable (I don't wear pinks. I'm a red gal) as other reviewers said, it does leave a nice tint to my lips. I let my girlfriends give it a shot. One has more olive toned skin and one more caramel toned. The olive skin looked very nice, like a light pink. The caramel skin tone looked like a nude gloss. All in all this is a nice gloss but the price is not worth it in the end.
