This is not a sheer shade- its quite opaque This is a coral-orange red shade (was hoping for a pink /fuchisa red by the name) As a product its okay but I will be purchasing Dior Addict in Red Carpet instead as I think the colour and texiure will be more like what I'm after.

Lipstick -NYX - Snow White
rated 1 of 5

Dissapointed in this shade. I expected a bright red shade - like fresh blood, but it turned out to be a very browinish red (a bit like MAC Dubonnet) which reminds me of dried blood. It doesn't suit me, I have a feelign it would flatter darker complexions more (I'm NW10). My first NYX lipstick- doubt I'll try any more.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
rated 4 of 5
CrimsonSmile 4/28/2012 8:48:00 AM

I love this for evening as its quite full cover on me. It is a great colour match- Im neautral cool. My skin leans pink but has no redness to correct. I use shade C1 and add a little white (Dainty Doll 001) to it to lighten it as i'm about an NW10. I don't use it in the day as its quite heavy- I use MAC F&B N1 plus F&B white for day, or NYX the make-up in pale (now discontinued). I have reprurchased and have a back-up. I have no issue with oilies, though it can sit a little on the surface of the skin.

Liquid -NYX - The Make-Up
rated 4 of 5
CrimsonSmile 2/22/2012 3:30:00 AM

I bought this in the lightest shade in Ferbruary 2012. The shade is called 'Pale'. Its an exact shade match for NW10. So happy that I have a foundation that I can slap on without mixing with white. I like the texture- its light and about medium-light coverage , but buildable. Its dirt cheap and the packaging is quite nice. Overall, I'm really happy. I have owned dozens of pale foundations and white foundations for mixing e.g. Dainty Doll fluid & mineral, Ben Nye colour cake, all MAC foundations even pro in both NC15 and NW15/10, True Match, Illamasqua, Barry M, Stargazer, Graftobian, Prescriptives virtual skin, Ruby & Millie etc.- and this one is my second favourite. True match C1 mixed with Dainty Doll 001 is my favourite as it offers slightly more coverage but this is great for day time/work.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Studio Careblend
rated 2 of 5
CrimsonSmile 10/9/2011 7:28:00 AM

This is a silky powder which gives medium coverage. I would'nt buy it again as the shade is very yellow on my NW10 skin. I can use it lightly but any heavier and I look jaundised. I much prefer select powder for oil control.

Liquid -MAC - Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation
rated 3 of 5
CrimsonSmile 10/9/2011 7:26:00 AM

I tried this on at the MAC store. I'm NW10 and although it does go light it is too yellow for my skin- it may suit NC10 skin, but wasn't natural on me. It was also quite matte. The MAC SA wasn't happy with t on me and suggested I try RMK instead. I placed an order for Dainty Doll foundation in extra light instead of buying this..

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade
rated 2 of 5
CrimsonSmile 10/9/2011 7:23:00 AM

I am dissapointed in this product- I wish I had bough metiorites intsead, It doesn't show up as a highlighter on my NW10 skin- its quite powdery and not very glowy. I will end up swapping this away or using as a face powder.

Treatments -Clarins - Blemish Control
rated 4 of 5
CrimsonSmile 10/5/2011 4:28:00 AM

I like this product. 1. It works for me. It dries the blemiosh without drying surrounding skin. It helps to clear up break outs much quicker than without. 2. I like the roller ball packaging. 3. I like that you get 2 sticks for the price of 1. 4. I had no issues with dripping, sticking roller ball etc. Packaging worked perfectly for me from day 1. Will definatly buy again. Note: I also like the 'brightening toner' which is an AHA product. I apply a few drops to my finger tisp and massage the gel-like liquid into my skin and leave overnight. This dries up existing blemishes and greasy patches. It also helps flakies to leave the skin when I wash the next morning.

Blush -MAC - Stunner (MAC Me Over 2011)
rated 5 of 5
CrimsonSmile 9/5/2011 2:25:00 PM

Gorgeous! Stunning and perfect. I'm NW10 with black hair and this blush is a perfect peachy-pink flush, so nice that my Mum wants one now too. I'd compare it to a paler less bright Bite of An apple, and a paler version of Fleur power (I have both of the other two). Its a blush that I can throw on without worrying too much about blending it perfectly. Love, love love!

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O
rated 1 of 5
CrimsonSmile 7/24/2011 12:33:00 PM

I got a bag of samples of this oil (various formulations) from the Shu Store when I made a purchase. The experience of using the oil was exactly the same for each of the different samples I tried. The oil itself felt really gross to use, very slimy. It emulisfied well with water but I felt that it left a film on my skin. It was NOT pleasant to use. i did'nt find that it removed my make-up any better than my regular Clarins face wash or Clarins cleansing lotion & toner- which are both much more pleasant to use. In addition this product broke me out which isn't suprising as the first ingrediant was Petrolatum liquidum/mineral oil- gross to me. Will not be using this again- I gave my bag of samples away.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 4 of 5
CrimsonSmile 7/19/2011 6:24:00 AM

There are loads of fakes of this on ebay. To make it clear: - This does NOT come with a brush (many of the fakes do) - This does NOT come in a square pot (many of the fakes do) This is not a gel liner, its a cream liner. I love it and use it with both of MACs eye liner brushes. The thich brush gives a thin to thicker liner and is ideal for flicks and the precise brush is great for tightlining. This is a great product and I have not had any problems with it at all. I have tried gel liners but prefer a cream liner as it's easier to work with and the result is denser.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Blackberry
rated 4 of 5
CrimsonSmile 7/18/2011 7:54:00 AM

I have two versions of this lipstick. One is a perfect dupe for MAC Dubbonet.Dubbonnet has unmistakable brown undertones. The other version of Blackberry has no such undertones. This is a perfect dark red, completly neutral- not leaning warm orange/brown or cool mauvey/purple in any way. Its the colour I have been searching for. I love Revlon's lipsticks- much more than MAC, and I have about 30 of those. I'm looking for a backup of the redder version of this.

Toners -Clarins - Toning Lotion (Alcohol Free) for Combination/Oily Skin
rated 5 of 5
CrimsonSmile 7/1/2011 5:05:00 AM

HG for me. I love everything about it. It has never made me red, burnt or dried my skin out. It's relativly inexpensive and lasts a fair while. I will always buy this. I love Clarins products.

Treatments -Creative Nail Design - Solar Oil
rated 2 of 5
CrimsonSmile 6/24/2011 3:25:00 AM

I bought this due to the hype. It's okay but the fake almond/ marzipan smell is overpowering. It's a very thin oil and not well absorbed. it doesn't do that much for my cuticles and feels kinda squeeky as I massage it in. I have OPI avoplex oil as welll and much prefer it to this. (Even neat almond oil is better). the OPI oil is thicker and more emoliant and gives a deeper softening effect, and feels much nicer to massage in.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - cucumber concombre cleansing milk
rated 1 of 5
CrimsonSmile 6/24/2011 3:11:00 AM

I don't usually break out from anything, I'm not sensitive or allergic to anything...apart from lanolin. I really wasn't expecting a Body Shop product to contain animal by-product. After using this cleanser I broke out in these weird pore-sized blister type spots that contained a milky fluid. the only other thing to do this to me was Oil of Olay origonal - which also contains lanolin. I had virtually perfect skin until using this. I usually use Clarins and I only picked this up due to nostalgia (I used to use the almond oil cleansing milk and had perfect skin, and this reminded me of that time). Suffice to say I won't be using it again. (It's not going to waste - my bf is using it up as a post shave balm, and he doesn't mind it- though he prefers nivea lotion)
