Fragrances -Oscar de la Renta - Oscar

Super powdery smell, somewhere along the line of Youth Dew and old grannies. I can't believe someone would pay so much money to smell like a living antique. yuck. The world needs to be informed about how awful this smells.

Bronzers -Urban Decay - Baked Bronzer
CremeBruleeIsYummy 6/13/2011 1:12:00 AM
I consider this an every day go-to bronzer. It looks great on medium-tanned skin tones. I use this to contour, mostly dusting in the hallow of my cheeks, forehead, and chin to give a glow. To finish, I dust a peach colored blush on the apples. It makes a huge difference to pair it with the right blush so that it pops. Great summer product, will get a lot of usage.

Cleansers -Boots - Botanics Moisturising Deep Clean Foam
CremeBruleeIsYummy 5/7/2010 12:34:00 AM
It's been said that if your pores are clean, they look smaller. I have huge visible pores. At first I was looking for a cleanser that removes make-up, is moisturizing, and doesn't stretch out my skin so that it feels dry. To my surprise this cleanser does all of that plus makes my pores extra clean and looks smaller. I use this twice a day followed by the Boots Botanics Daytime Moisturizer (made with rice bran protein). This is my first time trying out Boots and it's such a cheap steal! It performs better than the high end brands that I've tried. My skin is combo and very oily during summer months.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste - Tempting Beige
CremeBruleeIsYummy 12/7/2008 2:37:00 PM
Definitely not another boring nude blush! If you're going for a neutral or nude look, look for this blush. It's tiny shimmers aren't noticeable and it looks very natural on, almost like you're not wearing any blush at all. I like the little pop of color on my cheeks. I think it's a very safe blush to wear to work even if you go heavy on it, you won't look clownish. The scratch-proof packing is great and travel friendly. It comes with a small brush but I use my own.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste - Mirage (Rose Bronze)
CremeBruleeIsYummy 12/7/2008 2:35:00 PM
One of my favorite blushes of all time. The name may give it away, but this blush is amazing to wear in the Summer time because it gives you this warm pink flush with a pearly shimmer almost like Orgasm except it doesn't just "sit" on top of skin. When I first swatched it at the Chanel counter I thought it was meh but when the SA suggest I try it on because it looks great on medium skin, I was blown away instantly. My cheeks were glowing and the shimmer was not overdone. It was perfect. Not only is the packaging scratch proof, the color itself is unique and delicious. If you've never used any of the Joues Contraste blushes before, you're really missing out. Summer has past already but I still reach for this blush when I go out at night and I wear it whenever I want that glow.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Hug Me
CremeBruleeIsYummy 12/7/2008 2:21:00 PM
If you're searching for a go-to lipstick you can grab and go anywhere with..... this is it! It's a darling lip color with a light pinkish brown that goes with anything. You can pull off a smoky eye with Hug Me or you can wear it on it's own. I love that the color is the exact shade of my natural lips except it has a little shine to it.

Lipstick -MAC - Freckletone lipstick
CremeBruleeIsYummy 12/7/2008 2:18:00 PM
It's a wonderful nude lipstick. It doesn't look like a lustre formula in the package but you'll notice the glossiness when you wear it on. When I'm bored of my HG Underplay and want more shine, this is the lipstick I grab. The thing is when I want nude lips I like the amplified formula for better coverage. Freckletone has peachy brown tones. I think it looks great on girls with medium to tanned skin.

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Pro (High Definition Curved Brush Mascara)
CremeBruleeIsYummy 8/15/2008 12:59:00 AM
I have short and straight lashes and have always been in search for the right mascara that gives it a natural boost. The thing that lured me into buying this mascara is the curved brush which makes applying mascara 10x easier. Because the brush is curved, my mascara is applied more evenly on every lash, it even reaches out to the very ends that are hard to reach. I curl my lashes and brush on Shiseido's makeup mascara base before putting on definicils and my curls hold til I wash my make up off. It's not clumpy and spidery and does not smudge at all. I highly recommend this mascara to anyone who wants natural looking lengthy lashes! Mascara I've tried in the past include Chanel Inimitable ($$$ and smudged like crazy) Shiseido Lasting Lift - clumpy, dried out fast CG Lash Blast - flaky and smudged a little Benefit's Badgal - smudged like no other HTH!!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Ombre Essentielle Abricot
CremeBruleeIsYummy 5/31/2008 6:19:00 AM
Abricot eyeshadow is one of the most versatile singles from Chanel. It's a must-have for anyone dying to find the perfect shimmery peach that's not frosty. Yes it's shimmery but far from chunky-glittery like anything from Urban Decay. The texture is silk-like and a little bit of product goes a long way because it's very pigmented. When used as an eyewash, it brightened up my tired eyes and made me look more awake and rested somehow. You could wear this alone with a nude lippie if you wanted an entire nude look. For a single eyeshadow, the price screams luxury but the quality and great pigmentation pays off and most importantly, it's a color I could wear everyday and pair with any color. The product is packed in the classic square black and gold Chanel compact with a mirror and a mini e/s applicator.

Blush -MAC - Cream Color Base PRO in Pink Shock
CremeBruleeIsYummy 5/31/2008 6:00:00 AM
Pink Shock is a bright hot pink in the pan. For the longest time I've been looking for a blush or cheek tint to give a nice flush, the kind you get after you run or work out. I remember thinking I finally found the perfect one when I bought Benetint only to be disappointed when I realize it was so hard to blend and it dried to quick. Tricky very tricky to use. I found Pink Shock at a MAC Pro store and after swatching it on my skin was a little scared of the bright pink. The MAC SA told me I could use a dense blush brush to lightly dip and blend out. Let me tell you I was so impressed by the color and how easy it was to blend it out. I reach for this everytime I go out at night. It really gives you that babydoll look. I use my Pout blush brush to dip lightly one and dab around the apples of my cheek and blend it out. I reach for this whenever I go out at night. For reference I'm NC35-40. Lipstick -Chanel - Como
CremeBruleeIsYummy 5/31/2008 3:15:00 AM
Let's talk about texture! It's an Aqualumere lipstick and is the silkiest creme lipstick I've ever put on my lips. If you're a fan of MAC lustre or Shiseido lipsticks oh you're going to love the texture of this one. The color is a mauve-ish nude with a teeny hint of pink. At first look, I was afraid the lipstick might be frosty but when on, it has an iridescent sheen complimented by a kiss of pink. This is one sophisticated color that screams elegance and sophistication. It contains SPF 15 and has no detectable smell or scent. It comes in the classic black and gold Chanel logo tube. If you're looking for a new nude/neutral lipstick, try this one. It's a very unique must-have shade because it's neither nude or neutral but at the same time looks like your own lips.

Lipstick -MAC - Underplay [DISCONTINUED]
CremeBruleeIsYummy 5/12/2008 1:45:00 AM
My search for a peachy nude lipstick is OVER! I'm NC35 with pigmented deep berry toned lips and it's almost impossible to wear any lustre lipstick or nude lipstick without a hint of my natural lip color showing. MAC describes this color as a peachy brown. On my medium toned skin, it gives me the most natural look without looking washed out or corpse like. It's one of MAC's Amplified formulas, creamy and non-drying. 15 USD.

Powder -Chanel - Double Perfection Compact Teint Poudre Mat Eclat [DISCONTINUED]
CremeBruleeIsYummy 4/19/2008 1:20:00 AM
If you have oily skin or need a natural matte finish, this foundation will give your skin a lift. Surprisingly the coverage is good. After putting on concealer, a dab of this foundation over it makes the dark circles disappear. It stays put better than liquid foundation in my opinion and neither streaks or smears. It comes with a square sponge. I apply it dry on top of my moisturizer. I can apply more if I need more coverage and it does not look mask like or heavy. It's just like my skin but better. You can barely feel anything on your skin because it's so smooth and silky. I have combination skin with medium-large pores and no other foundation has done a better job at making them appear smaller. Currently using Sand Beige 4.2. It's the best powder foundation I've ever used.
