Treatments -The Body Shop - Seaweed Pore Perfector
rated 1 of 5

The packaging is great, but the product is about nothing. I didn't see any effect from it. It does absolutely nothing for my pores. I guess I'll finish the bottle but definitely won't repurchase.

Skincare - Face -Jurlique - Calendula Lotion
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 11/3/2009 10:05:00 AM

I absoulutely love this little bottle. Its composition is very simple but effective. It calms down the redness and cleanses the skin. I sometimes use it in the mornings instead of washing my face because water irritates and dries my skin more than alcohol. And I also use it after deep cleansing procedures twice a week. It contains quite a small amount of alcohol (unlike the calendula tincture from a pharmacy, which is very harsh) so it doesn't dry my combination skin out. Just received the second bottle an will definitely repurchase.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Occitane - Ultra Rich Eye Balm
rated 3 of 5
Cranberrybabe 11/2/2009 9:11:00 AM

It's a good rich eye moisturizer. It did't cause any irritation on my skin. Bit it rolled into small puffy balls when I rubbed the eye area. I'm still looking for my HG eye cream.

I didn't like this toner because it gave my skin a greasy feeling.

Moisturizers -Ren - Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Repair Cream
rated 2 of 5
Cranberrybabe 4/5/2009 10:17:00 AM

What I can say about is that I don't like it. The creme itself is okay, but it did nothing for my skin except reducing redness a bit. It contains myristyl myristate which can cause breakouts and makes my skin feel oily. Simple apricot oil with 1-2 drops of frankincense essential oil works much better for me. There are far better creams. Won't repurchase again.

Masks -Peter Thomas Roth - Sulfur Cooling Masque
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 3/14/2009 5:41:00 PM

I used a half of this jar by now and I can swear it helps clearing acne. It also helps clearing my pores from blackheads. I like the creamy consistency of this mask. I guess I'm gonna try DDF sulfur mask and Borghese active mud next. But I'd stick up to PTR :)

Mascara -Max Factor - Masterpiece Max
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 3/14/2009 5:19:00 PM

MasterpieceMax in brown is my HG everyday mascara. I've tried many others, but this one is the best for it's money. It simply does what a good mascara is supposed to do.

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Parfait - Complexion Enhancer in Apricot 4
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 3/4/2009 5:21:00 PM

I don't really know what this tube does to my face, but I receive compliments concerning my complection when I wear it. Obviously it gives me a healthy, fresh skincolour, though it's almost transparent and you can't see it on the skin. It also makes my skin smoother. I use it after mousturiser following with loose powder. And I definitely like it more than Givenchy ActiMine (though I can''t really compare a green moisturising base and a peach complexion enhancer). I guess I'll buy it again.

Moisturizers -Aesop - Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/7/2008 12:19:00 PM

Camelia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream is a good basic moisturiser. I use it on my combi / dehydrated skin. It works well, but sometimes my skin still lacks moisture. This cream doesn't work wonders, but it's just a good moisturiser made of natural ingredients. It is thick, but sinks in quickly. It doesn't cause breakouts or irritations. It's just a good face cream:) Update: I added 1 lippie because I really like this cream. It does everything a good creme should do except sunblocking. Definitely doesn't cause any breakouts. But still I'd recommend it to normal\combi skins.

Masks -Korres - Wild Rose Mask
rated 4 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/6/2008 5:09:00 PM

A very pleasant mask. Feels like whipped cream. It leaves your skin soft, moisturised and glowing and hides redness away. Though it might be not moisturising enough for dry or dehydrated skin it's still very good at creating a nice complection.

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/5/2008 9:22:00 AM

This is definitely my HG cleanser. I prefer not to use gels or foaming cleansers. They all need to be rinsed with water. And tap water horribly dries my dehydrated skin out. Sensibio doesn't cause any breakouts on my acne-prone skin. But I've heard that it can make it too sensitive after a several month because it contains a cleansing ingredient, Cetrimonium Bromide, which is better to be washed away from the skin. To avoid that I just follow with a tonic lotion. My skin feels great, cleansed and calmed down.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - PreCleanse
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/5/2008 9:11:00 AM

I really like this pre-cleanser. It takes away all the oil-based makeup from your face. But unfortunately we can't be together forever, because I tend not to use tap water in everyday cleansing. It just dries out my skin. So I use PreCleanse and follow with Bioderma Sensibio cleansing water.

Masks -Dermalogica - MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque
rated 4 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/5/2008 9:03:00 AM

I didn't quite understand what this mask is doing for my skin. It may be good as a vitamin supply, but it can't help you with moisturising or nourishing your skin. 02/11/09 Upd: I changed my mind about this mask. It really makes the complexion less dull :) +2 lippies

Masks -Dermalogica - Skin Hydrating Masque
rated 2 of 5
Cranberrybabe 12/5/2008 9:00:00 AM

This is a gel mask. It gives your skin a cooling sensation when applied. My skin is dehydrated with air-conditioning and cold weather. So this mask couldn't help me. It leaves your skin very soft, but I didn't feel it was moisturising enough. T his can be a good solution for skins without dehydration problems or hot and humid climates. But I guess my own contest for an HG moisturising mask is still open.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Lemony Flutter
rated 5 of 5
Cranberrybabe 10/7/2008 5:50:00 AM

This thick brew is great :) I use it for cuticules, elboes and feet, for all the places where dry and rough skin can appear, It works well for cuticules, but applied once a week on feet overnight it acts even better. This is definitely my rough skin HG.
