Sorry, but this was not at all what I expected. :( As for smelling beachy and like tanning lotion, I'm thinking of the "coconut" scent and then the sand, etc. This smells exactly like some high SPF lotion (no coconut whasoever), that muted orangish smell that these lotions have, and also a scent of mosquito spray. Does remind you of the scents of summer, but not a scent you would want to wear often. Plus, it was rather strong. I am returning mine, pronto.

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - True Blue Spa Island Getaway Rub It In Oil

Great stuff! Part of the Island Getaway collection (True Blue spa). It's a body massage/bath oil that feels really great. I rub a little into my hands and it moisturizes them. Like mentioned below, supposed to be for bath or massage but it does make a great moisturizer. The smell is divine - very beachy and goes PERFECT with the Island Hot Spot warming scrub! Would buy again, but a little goes a long way so it will last a long time. It might run out sooner is you use it more for baths, though.

Bronzers -Tarte - Hotel Heiress

LOVE this bronzer! I am PPP/LLL and this actually works great! I was skeptical at first, but it has great blendability (mineral powder). The color is a "perfect" shade for bronzer as it has a sort of rosy look to it, but not too much. Resembles a real tan because of this. It is not gold at all, compared to the other bronzer I use (Nars Laguna). It has very little shimmer and wonderful texture. Has a cute paragraph on the back referring to Paris Hilton by saying "that's hot", etc. Very cute marketing idea. The package is awesome as well. It's cardboard covered in a leather-like gold snakeskin looking cover with a mini gold chain on the front. It has a mirror inside and a magnet holds it closed. The BEST bronzer I have ever tried. Will alternate with Laguna sometimes, but this is more real. Hands down!

I wear this quad more than anything! I got it a while back (January, I think). It's part of the Spring 2005 collection. I love the colors in this. They're a very pale robin's egg blue, pale peach, pure white and a gorgeous bronzy-gold-brown color. I use this last color in the crease and to line my lower lashes, the white as a highlighter, and either the blue or peach all over the lid. This eye look paired with peachy blush and bronzer and Mac Prrr l/g is to die for!!!! I look so fresh and glowy. The brown and peach in this are so awesome! I will def. get a backup. Ya'll NEED this for summer!!

Beutiful pink with silver shimmer in the pan, but came off "orangish" on my PPP cool toned lids for some reason. Was disappointed, but I think it looks good on darker skin.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Tokyo Duo

Great duo!!! I wear these colors more often than an other e/s I own. A creamy off whitish color and a grayish/lavender color. More greyish in a sense than purple; maybe mauvish - hard to explain. Perfect for a neutral everyday eye, IMO. Strangely, these e/s seen to be different in texture than the other Nars e/s. They are very creamy in a sense and very soft. Will def. buy again!

Well, I guess I found a Nars duo that was no good. :( Well, at least not for me! I was lemming this for so long. Finally got it and it looks so beautiful in the pan - a pale pink with gold shimmer and a goldish shadow with gold shimmer. So striking! The pink did not show up one bit and the gold color looked terrible on me. I was so very disappointed. Not a good duo at all, IMO. Maybe for someone with darker skin (I'm PPP), but just did not show up. Swapped it away....

Lipstick -NARS - Christina

Christina is the lipstick from Summer 2005. Described as a golden berry. When I first looked at the lipstick itself, it appeared to look like a heavily bronzed color. Cannot detect berry by looking at it. However, putting it on is another story. This is a beautiful reddish/berry color with golden bronze shimmer. The shimmer did not come out strong on my lips at all. In fact, more berry-red did. So the color you are looking at isn't what will appear on your lips. This is so beautiful with a very light face. I think wearing it with a loud e/s, such as South Pacific, would be too much! Would look gorgeous with the Sea, Sex and Sun e/s duo. I will be wearing this a lot.

This is a beautiful pink color - part of the Summer 2005 collection. It was what I had expected. A light-medium pink with subtle shimmer. The color in the tube is darker than what it actually is. It made the most gorgeous flush to my cheeks. I also used a light wash over my eyes and it was pretty. The shimmer is very subtle. Under direct light, the shimmer appears to be a "hot pink" color and not silver or gold as others. Very gorgeous! I find this to be very versatile. I am a PPP and will be using this a lot.

Eye Shadow -NARS - South Pacific Duo

So loving this duo! Sure, it's bright and loud but the blues are beyond compare to anything, at least IMO. It has a turquoise/aqua side with slight shimmer. Very bright and vibrant. The other side is a bluish gray color to me, like blue steel or something. Looks absolutely gorgeous on. In the pan it reminded me a little of the blue side of the Elsa duo, but it is far prettier. Also, both of these have substantial pigment! It's so pretty, I love to just look at it! Stunning. A must have! :)

I love the Bubble Gum scent. Dunno why, thought I would hate it. I find it better than the others. A nice sweet scent with a good bubble gum smell. The bottles are only 4 oz, but it smells great when sprayed in your hair and the shimmer is nice. Really like this.

I like this whipped cream. It actually is not sticky at all when rubbed it, and it leaves a nice sweet scent. Like bubble gum, but not overkill. Sweet. :) The package is cute, though more for 'teens or something. But I like it overall, like the smell and taste. Cute product.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Sweet Dreams

I swapped my Nars Orgasm gloss for this, and found them strangely similar. I do like this one better, but they are very similar. This is a peachish color with a ton of shimmer. Not as much gold as the O gloss, but nice. I expected it to be more pink, but I really do not detect much pink at all. Nice gloss, but wouldn't repurchase.

HG lipgloss for summer! I am so loving Nars right now and sure I will indefinitely. This is such a great colarish/nudish color. Looks great on my very pigmented lips. Staying power is good and texture is awesome! A big RAVE for this!

My fave fragrance of all time from BBW. I miss it so much! Such a sweet, lovely floralish scent that is great during any season. Bring it back!!!!! :(
