Hair Color -L'Oreal - Casting Creme Gloss

I got this on a whim in the colour Teracotta (don't know the number). It is a redbased brown. It says it washes out in aprox. 28 washes and this is the first semi-permanent colouring that has lived up to his statement. 40 washes in and when I am in the sun the colour is still there (less visible then it was in the beginning but it is still there). the colour took to my hair perfectly and it made it soft and shiney. It has no ammoniac so it isn't bad for your hair or your nose. Applying it is like every other colouring tricky (I got my mum to do it). You wash it out and apply a conditionor for extra shine. The colouring was easy to mix and it came with a handy stand to keep it standing in when massaging the colouring into the hair. Beware that it does take a couple of days before it reaches its colouring (with me it got darker and intenser over a periode of 3 days) Why I wouldn't buy it again? Not because it is rubbish but b/c it costs 15 euro (I bought it 50% off) and I can get my hair done at my hairdressers for the same price. If it was cheaper I would get this - if you want to permanently colour your hair but unsure the colour would suit you try this it washes out so no harm done!

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-Licious - ALL colors

I have this in 804 rasberry. It is a reddish colour with pinkish undertones (a genuine rasberry colour). When I firsth got this the product had seperated, when I went to use it a clear gloss came out - which each use the liquid became redder. In the end I decided to squize it out onto a tissue until the clear liquid was the colour represented in the tube (lucky I didn;t waist to much product). Since I have done that the gloss has stayed a reddish colour. Not sure if this was a mistake or if this is a common occurance I love the colour it is an intense colour that goes on suprisingly opaque for a gloss. I glides on with the help a the tip applicator (this does get very sticky and dirty - before use i clean it with a tissue). To test how long and good a l/g or l/s stays on I have invented a new little test. I have a good 15 min cycle to the train station every morning. Usually it is always very windy (in summer and winter). If the l/g or l/s is still perfect when I get there it has past the test imo ------->>> this stays on amazing I had this on yesterday and it didn't budge, fade or dry my lips out. It has passed the test cause my hair doesn't stick to it yay a nice berry colour for winter and summer it goes nice with neutral or purple e/s

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - Light Blue

(I got this as a pressie so not sure how much it costs). I have a couple of heavy perfumes so when I got this one I wasn't sure if i would like it as it would be very light. When I smelled it I instantly though if the summer. I have this perfume a couple of weeks and I have to say I like it (even if it isn't summer and I prefer heavier perfumes in the winter). It is in a big square glass bottle with a blue lid, nothing special. The smell is very light and fresh - includes notes of Sicilian citron, bluebell, Granny Smith apple, jasmine sambac, bamboo, white rose, cedarwood, amber and musk. I can clearly smell the citron and granny smith apple. A nice light perfume that isn't to overpowering, although the lasting power isn't great it does smell nice and I like it cause I can wear it everywear even to college (with my fave heavy perfume I can't)

This is my fave handcreme (I have tried many) - i am on my 3dr tube (since nov' 2010). I get aroud 3 weeks with a tube. The smell is amazing fresh coconut smell that doesn''t smell fake and manufactured. It soaks into the hands really quickly and makes them feel soft and when used on a day to day basis it stops my hands from drying out. I love this product and at only 4 it is the best buy ever, will keep repurchasing this as it is amazing. Apply this every couple of hours to keep your hand super soft and prevent them drying and cracking

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencil in Horseradish

I bought this b/c i needed a green base for e/s. I use this to intensify green e/s (especially MAC fresh green mix mes). On its own it is average and creases within a hour after applying - even with TFSI. On its on I would give this 2 lippies but as a base it is amazing hence the 4 lippies for overall rating. I apply it and smudge it with my finger to even it out. I is quite hard to get an even base using the pencil alone I don't like the packaging as it looks cheap (i know it is but if it was black it would look so much better) I would buy this again b/c it makes my e/s look great! And I am planning on trying other colours to. NYX have a great array of colours to choose from, I am sure there is one for everyone!

Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - MNY 125

MNY is the baby sister of Maybeline and the quality is amazing. The pigmentation is in the same league as MAC and it only costs 2.49 ($3.41). On the lid it is a nice shimmery champagne colour that brightens up the eye, it goes on nice and smooth and there is no fall out. It is a good dupe for MAC all that glitters.' I can't say a bad word about this product and think that this colour would suit anybody, i use this to blend out darker colours as it is nice a light with a bit of shimmer.

Mascara -The Body Shop - Big and Curvy Mascara

I got this mascara on a whim mainly because of all the great reviews on my fave beautyblogs. They however not metion the vile smell of this mascara and that the brush is so small it does not seperate the lashes. My lashes look ok but not better than my usual DS mascara. The first two days I used this mascara I got big and curvy lashes and I though I finally found my HG mascara but on day three is were it went pear shaped my lashes refused to stay curvy and the smell was unbearable, not only does it smell in the tube, hours later I could still smell it even overpowering my perfume (i am sure other people couldn't smell it but I could and that what annoyed me the most). Secondly when I pulled out the brush loads of product came out with it leaving the opening black and sticky, the lid didn't close properly and it leaked into my MU bag. Thirdly it is imo NOT user friendly, I have great difficulty applying mascara and this just would not work, it would either go clumpy on the ends, thick lump on one side of the eye or flake onto my cheeks (the other day I was unaware of this fact and walked around all they with black flakes on my cheek). Applying this in a rush doesn't work. I am not demanding from my mascara (my HG (for now) is still Rimmel sexy curve which isn't popular on MUA) but with three strikes I think it deserves the bin (luckly my little sister wanted to try it so maybe she can get it to work). TBS is a great shop but this mascara didn't like me and I didn't like it. Somedays it was amazing and other days it completly failed and being in a rush and having to do you MU early in the morning or on the train this will not do. I am dissapointed and I am going back to imo above average mascara what I know will go on fine as my whim only cost me money and a whole lot of frustration. Still looking for my HG perfect mascara that makes my lashes pop and doesn't drive me up the wall - how much is that to ask?

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Wonderstruck

Wonderstruck is a lustre glass so it goes on quite sheer. It gives the lips a nice light natural colour on your lips. It has small silver particles in it which are left on the lips when the l/g has worn of. They are visble if you look up close enough. I like this as I can wear this to college for a natural look but it also looks great with a smokey eye. On me it lasts 2 hours (including drinking) which for a l/g is medium. If you don't like a sticky l/g I would pass on this one. The tube is small for the price and it is a colour you could easily duped. I would buy this again if i couldn't find a dupe otherwise i would leave it and look for a more brighter colour from the MAC range. It has a brush applicator instead of the usual doefoot. I prefer the little brush as it is more precise. To give it some extra dept I add this over MAC fuchsia Fix TLC on its on it is very light - I think if you have very pigmented lips this wouldn't show up - imo it would look great one paller gals then tanned gals 13 feb 2011: To test how long and good a l/g or l/s stays on I have invented a new little test. Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner- Fuchsia Fix

I got this 2 weeks ago and I have been using it everyday, I love it. I looks PINK in the pot but on my lips it is very natural and gives my lips an extra glow. when applied heavy it is a nice'pink that looks like a lipgloss. I love the brightness this can bring to my lips. It is a lip conditioner so it makes my lips smooth and soft and makes them nice and pink (I don't like vaseline as it makes my lips look greasy). I put this on in the morning and it lasts a good 3hours (without eating, it does survive drinking). I love this although 15 is expensive for a lipbalm but I got this as a b'day present and I am loving it. Def. going to repurchase this when it runs out but looking at the dent I made in it since I got it I don't think it will run out any time soon. Going to have a look at the other colours If you are looking for a tinted lipbalm with staying power and don't mind forking out a small fortune then this is the one for you. The pot is unhygienic but if you make sure your hands are clean it isn't a big problem. Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Cyndi [DISCONTINUED]

I wasn't sure if VVcyndi was for me. I don't like to wear red l/s so when I saw this colour it got my attention. I saw swatches but I really fell in love with this when I swatched it at the MAC counter. It is the perfect red for daytime. I would def. wear this to college and out and about. It has a more a watermelon base colour that would suit nearly every one (i doubt it would suit really fair people). One MUA'er said it does make your teeth look yellower this happens to me if I am in a dimly lit room. In daylight it looks amazing. Even with acne I can pull it off (now that is a tall order for a l/s) Although I am not a big fan of Cyndi Lauper I love the fact that she has put her name to this product it makes it extra special. MAC could have called it Viva Glam VII but I doubt it would have sold as well as it has. I paid 17.50 which I find expenisive but knowing that EVERY penny goes to the AIDS fund it is the best money I have ever spent (hence the one lippie, normaly I would have found it 4 lippies). Will be getting another VV very soon. The only con is that like every red you have to have perfect non-chapped lips, and with this cold here in Holland that is extra tricky. 13 feb 2011: To test how long a l/g or l/s stays on I have invented a new little test. I have this in 4 colours/shades (hypnotic grey, woody green, purple stain and ocean mist). I had a review on here for hypnotic grey which i didn't really like. I was looking for a new green e/l and got woody green as it was the closest to the colour i wanted. I was suprised how much better it was to hypnotic grey. In the meantime I have bought 2 more and they are amazing. Smooth and pigmented (i think i just got a bad one when i bought hypnotic grey). I am a cluts when it comes to applying e/l but even I can apply a neat line with these. My fave is ocean mist as you can wear it alone and it brightens up the eyes. The staying power is amazing, you need a good remover (waterproof) to remove it. Unfortunatly it doesn's stay as long on the waterline (about 6 hours) - under eye it does tend to smudge more then on the lid so be carefull when touching your eyes. TFSI will make it smudge less but I find by the end of the day it has smudged completly but I still love them on the lid so I live with the fact the smudge easily on waterline I recommend these to every one, the colour selection is amazing and the price is very reasonable (7)

This is a review for Super Shine Lipgloss Icy Amethyst. Rituals are well know for their bath and body products. Lately the have added make-up to their collection. All the lipglosses contain Ruby (crushed gemstones) to enhance will-power and bloodcirculation (which will make your lips look fuller). First of all the one thing I noticed when I got this lipstick is the smell of cherries (if you don't like cherries steer well clear of this l/s as it lingers for quit a bit on your lips (which for me is a con). The colour is a shiny pink with pearly blue undertones that are more visible on the lips than in the tube. I haven't got heavily pigmented lips so this shows up a nice light colour on me. If you have pigmenter it while show up pinkier (if that even is a word). The pigmentation is amazing and it lasts a good 3 hours (without eating or drinking, less if you do). Overall a nice lipgloss to have, nothing special. I use it a every day l/s when I want to do my eye make-up heavier. Due to how little I use it i wouldn't repurchase this colour perhaps some other colour. 13 feb 2011: To test how long a l/g or l/s stays on I have invented a new little test. Eye Shadow -MAC - Electro Flash - Fresh Green Mix

I usually steer well clear of green e/s, but when I saw swatches of fresh green mix I was sold. The greens fit perfectly togheter and they haven't got heavy yellow undertones (i.e. MAC lucky green). The make a every day eyelook togheter and add a darker green you have a evening smokey look (I use the dark green from the Sleek Storm palette). The fallout unlike odd couple (another electro flash eyeshadow) is minimum to nothing. It goes on smooth and blends easily. The shadow last a whole day (if it is out over a primer (i use TFSI). In EU this is a permanent so that is a big plus, I would definitly repurchase if this runs out (wich it might do because i love it so much) The price that I paid was quite steep, 20,50 but i think it was worth it. I my only con is that my packging feels flimsy and rigid. edit: i just bought NYX horse radish jumbo eyeshadow pencil and it works amazing as a base for this colour. It makes both of the greens deeper and show up better.

I bought this because I wanted a nude l/s to go with smokey/dark e/s It is a nude colour that has pinkish undertones that are visible in daylight (sunlight). I can't quit make up my mind if i like this l/s. It works on me but because I use quite visible and darkish colour l/s this isn't one I would use on a day to day basis. In bad lighting it does give me that dead look and in normal light in does look nice. It is a velvety l/s so it is quite opaque and thick. On me it last around an hour a half to two hours (at the most). It is however not drying on my lips but you have to exfolliate your lips at it shows up any flaw in your lips. I am glad I bought it but I wouldn't buy this colour again, as I only wear it with the darker eyelooks and I dont wear them that often. 13 feb 2011: To test how long a l/g or l/s stays on I have invented a new little test. Eye Shadow -NYX - I Dream of Barbados

I love purple,so tihs is the palette for me. When I see the palette I don't automatically think of barbados. The palette consists of 2 purples, a pink, a shimmery black and a silver. The pigmentation is super (unfortunatly there is some fallout), NYX is a cheap drugstore brand with excellent quality e/s (which is not yet availlible here in Holland (only online)) Smooth,silky e/s that goes on to the lid with out to much difficulty - for lasting power it does need a good base (hence the 4 lippies for overall rating). Colours are great togheter and you can create an amazing smokey eye with the purples and the black. Not sure what to do with the kind of barbie pink A great palette to have in your stash if you like vibarant colours and your budget isn't able for MAC. One of the big cons is that it does mell a bit talcy
