Shampoo -Batiste - Original Dry Shampoo
ClassyMinx 7/18/2012 6:22:00 AM
I have really long and thick hair and washing and drying it can take time. Batiste dry shampoo is a life saver for me when I'm running late and don't have time to wash and dry my hair... or when I'm just being lazy. Just a quick 5 second spray to my roots, brush my hair and I'm ready to go. My hair looks and feels clean and normal when I use this. This is the only dry shampoo I've ever tried but I'm impressed and will continue to use it.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
ClassyMinx 7/16/2012 7:48:00 PM
I really love the colour of this. In the tube it looks like it has a lot of brown in it, but on my lips it comes out really different... A lovely rosey colour. I can't really detect any mauve like other reviewers but maybe it comes out a little different on everyone depending on the natural pigments of their lips. I find the formula of this lip butter really smooth and easy to apply. Pigmentation is also pretty good.. I usually apply 2 coats to get good colour. This lipbutter is fairly moisturising but i find it best to wear a lip balm underneath. It leaves a high shine finish on my lips so i don't apply any gloss over the top. I don't think this colour is like MLBB as others have described and I would not describe this colour as a neutral colour. It is a muted rosey medium red on my lips. I find it very wearable for everyday as it's not too bright and in your face. Definitely one of my favourite revlon lip butters.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie
ClassyMinx 7/8/2012 3:45:00 AM
This is one of my favourite revlon lip butters. Application is quite good... It goes on smoothly and although it is quite sheer at first, it is buildable. I usually apply 3 coats to get good colour payoff. I find this colour very flattering on my fair skin. It's suitable for everyday wear as it's not too bright or too bold. My only complaint with this is the staying time. I find I need to reapply this quite often (every hour or so) and after eating, kissing, etc. I don't find this lip butter to be very nourishing, but it doesn't dry my lips out either. I always wear a lip balm underneath which helps (I do this with all lipsticks so nothing against revlon lip butters). I would highly recommend this lip butter, it's become a staple in my make-up bag.

Polishes -OPI - Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It
ClassyMinx 7/6/2012 6:04:00 AM
Nothin' Mousie 'Bout it is a glitter nail polish from OPI's Minnie Mouse Collection. It' is filled with light pink iridescent glitter and large pink hearts. This is very very sheer light pink, so there's not really any colour payoff. I would recommend using this polish as a top coat to add some sparkle and heart to more pigmented polishes. The little hearts are very sweet, but make application really painful. The tiny glitter applies quite easily, but the hearts are a nightmare. It's difficult to get them on the brush to apply, and then harder stil to get them from the brush to the nail. It requires deliberate placement of hearts which can take some time. This is a bit of a messy job and in my opinion is just not worth the fuss. Once the polish dries, the heart sequins chip off very easily. A few coats of topcoat is essential for the hearts to stay on the nails. I was really excited when this polish came out because it looked so cute but it's really not worth the bother. For an OPI polish I was expecting a lot more. Disappointing.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Color Appeal Trio Pro Addictive Plum
ClassyMinx 7/5/2012 9:31:00 PM
I just love the 3 colours in this. I own quite a few different L'Oreal eyeshadows and I have to point out I don't find this eyeshadow as soft as my other L'Oreal shadows. Application is still quite good, and the colours have decent pigmentation. There is some shimmer (not glitter) but it's not over the top. This is great for traveling or to keep in your purse as it's so compact. I really love the packaging of this.. Especially the really cute hidden applicator. I personally think this would look great on all skin tones and all eye colours. If you're after a plum eyeshadow, this is worth checking out.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Spiced Vanilla Body Butter
ClassyMinx 7/5/2012 7:57:00 PM
I received this body butter as a gift. It's okay, but I don't love it. Although it's mildy moisturizing, I have tried many other BS bodybutters that are more nourishing on my skin. As for the smell, I much prefer fruity scents. I find the vanilla to be sickly sweet. I like neutral, fresh, and fruity scents. I wear perfume everyday and don't really want my moisturizer clashing with the smell of my perfume. If you like vanilla then you'll like this. If you're looking for an effective moisturizer, then keep looking.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Spiced vanilla hand cream
ClassyMinx 7/5/2012 7:28:00 PM
I received this handcream as a gift and finally got around to using it this week. I really liked the richness of this cream. It is thick, and soaks in quite quickly. It made my hands feel moist and nourished. My only complaint is the smell... It's really not for me, and it lasts forever! I moisturised my hands before bed, and I woke up this morning and my hands still smell like 'spiced vanilla'. I don't hate the smell but I prefer more neutral and fresh scents. I feel if I wear this out, it will clash with my perfume and I'll smell like a cheap perfume cocktail. But apart from the smell I do like it. If u like vanilla scents then this is the handcream for you!

Fragrances -Davidoff - Coolwater - Game
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 6:44:00 AM
I really love this! I like the original Cool Water fragrance and decided to give this a go. I'm so glad I did. It's a great fresh and clean fragrance, not too strong or overpowering. I use this for everyday wear. I spray my neck and wrists and it last all day.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Dr Lewinns - Puressence
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 5:29:00 AM
I've been using the Dr Lewinn's puressence day and night cream and eye gel for about 3 years and haven't looked back. The only downside is the price. At $49.99AUD for the face cream and $39.99AUD for the eye gel they are really expensive! And they're never on sale. I'm in my mid twenties and really struggled to find a face and eye gel that was suitable for my age. All the ones on the market are either too greasy and oily or too thick like sunscreen. I love the smell and feel of the Dr Lewinn's creams. The cream is rich without being too thick and makes my skin feel awake and alive. The eye gel makes my eyes feel great and tightens the skin. I always get told that I look younger than my age. Because we pay so much for cosmetics in Australia I buy most of my beauty products online from the US and UK, but I can't find these products anywhere else except Aus. If anyone could recommend a more affordable face cream and eye cream that is good for women in the mid twenties please let me know.

Polishes -OPI - Romeo & Joliet
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 4:56:00 AM
I really like this colour. I'm not a fan of dark nail polishes and this is dark enough for me. It's a classy burgundy with a really glossy finish. I don't even bother to wear a topcoat. The formula of this polish is quite good and applies really evenly and smoothly. I can get away with wearing just one coat (if I'm in a hurry), but I usually wear 2 coats. I almost didn't buy Romeo & Joliet because it's not a colour I would usually wear. I'm so glad I did though. Definately one of my favourite OPI nail polishes.

Polishes -China Glaze - lemon fizz
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 4:44:00 AM
I have to admit the idea of yellow nails kind freaks me out... especially bright yellows. But this yellow is great... it has enough colour to pop but is not too bright. It's a medium toned pastel yellow. Personally I wouldn't wear yellow on my full nail, but I was looking for a yellow to use to do flowers and accents on nails. And this works great for that. The formula seems normal to me, just like my other China Glaze polishes.

Polishes -OPI - A True Ab-original
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 4:34:00 AM
I really like this colour, but as an Australian I think the name is a little bit contraversial... That being said the colour is gorgeous. I've had it on my toes for 2 weeks now (with topcoat) and it still hasn't chipped. It's a warm and bright coral colour. At first I wasn't sure about the colour, but after a day when I got over the shock (I'm used to wearing true reds on my toes) it has really grown on me. Looks nice on my warm toned skin.

Polishes -China Glaze - Secret Peri-Wink-le
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 3:57:00 AM
I really love this colour... and the name! It's a very pretty dusky blue with lilac tones. It is a little thin to apply and takes 2-3 coats to be opaque which is why I took off a lippie. But the great colour is worth it. This is a really feminine blue, and I think it would look nice on all skin tones. If you are looking for a girlie colour but are over pinks, I would highly recommend Secret Peri-Wink-le.

Polishes -OPI - Alpine snow
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 2:32:00 AM
I don't love this colour but I'm glad I purchased it. It's white, nothing really special about it, but it is useful. Great for french manicure but I'm too lazy to do that. I sometimes use this colour to do flowers and dots over brightly coloured nail polishes (I use a toothpick to do dots). Creates a nice effect. But, I find I use this polish mainly to touch up chips in my white furniture lol. Works a treat. The quality of this polish is great, application is easy. For me I just use this polish to do odd jobs as I have no desire to have white nails... but that's just me. Quality wise it's great. Colour wise.. not much to say.. it's white. If you're after a white polish, then I would highly recommend.

Polishes -OPI - What's with the Cattitude?
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 2:11:00 AM
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! This is one of my favourite nail polishes. It's a beautiful happy sky blue colour. I find this colour really wearable on both my finger nails and my toes. I have warm toned skin and usually find blues difficult to wear as I think they suit cold toned skin better. It is a soft blue, a bit darker than baby blue, and has enough colour to be bright, but not in your face. My only complaint about this colour is it takes 3 coats to be opaque. The first and second coat are streaky but if you persist, the third is smooth and faultless. This is okay if you have the time, but super frustrating if you're in a rush. It is pretty shiny without a topcoat, but if you want it to last I would recommend puting a topcoat on. It lasts on me (with topcoat) about 5 days before chipping starts. If you're looking for a colour that's a bit different but still wearable, I would highly recommend this colour.
