Self Tanners -Ulta - Self-Tanning Continuous Spray
ClaireBear728 5/2/2012 6:23:00 PM
I have used tons of sunless tanners, and I definitely do not like this one, unfortunately. I put it on, and even used the Ulta tanning mitt to make sure I didnt have streaks or missed spots, but I woke up this morning ORANGE and splotchy. I wanted to like this and thought that it would be convenient since it is a spray, but I think for me, I will stick with gradual tanners, and in the lotion form. The spray stunk and I could barely breathe when I was putting it on. (I exfoliated before I sprayed this on, but it still looks uneven). I am HOPING that I can return this to Ulta...(got 2 cans at a Buy One Get One 50% Off rate).....Dont try this unless you want to look like an Oompa Loompa...

Powder -Jane Iredale - Pure Pressed Base
ClaireBear728 4/21/2012 1:18:00 PM
I work at a spa that carries the Jane Iredale line and I have been very impressed with all of the products I have used. I wear the pressed base in the Radiant shade and I couldnt be happier with how it looks and covers. It is also a convenient product, in the fact that it is a powder, concealer, foundation, and sunscreen all in one. Yes, it is a bit more pricey than some brands, however it is worth it because it does cover well and is made from all natural, organic ingredients. For people who find that they do not get enough coverage, they may be using the powder incorrectly. You are supposed to either use a nice sponce (Jane Iredale makes an incredible, inexpensive one that can be reused) or a flat-topped brush. Dont use a round top brush (like a blush brush or kabuki brush) because this can put TOO much powder on your skin and waste the product. If you use a moisturizer first, apply the powder, and use the hydration spray after, you should find that the coverage is great, but not a heavy feel. I definitely will continue to use this product forever and I recommend it to everyone!

Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - Malibu - Hemp Golden Glow Bronzing Moisturizer
ClaireBear728 3/16/2012 1:56:00 PM
I love this tanner. I have used it for years and it has never given me a problem. As with all self-tanners, it is best to exfoliate elbows and knees to avoid any "orange" patches, but I like the fact that this product does not give an orange tint all over. I will definitely continue to use/buy and I recommend it to anyone.

Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
ClaireBear728 3/11/2012 10:45:00 AM
I personally love this foundation...it does give a fairly light/sheer coverage, but I usually do a powder over the foundation just to set it and get a little extra coverage. (I almost use the foundation as a primer, yet I still get fairly good coverage).I use the Jane Iredale pressed powder). The color that I chose matches my skin perfectly, and it doesnt feel like a heavy liquid foundation to me. If you are looking for a foundation that gives you a full coverage, you might not like this one, but I think its great, and it has not caused me any type of breakouts or skin irritation. I will definitely be re-purchasing this.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
ClaireBear728 12/26/2011 5:33:00 PM
I have been waiting forever to get this palette. I got it as a Christmas gift and I am in LOVE. I could easily use this palette everyday for my eye looks. The colors blend perfectly and the pigmentation is great. There are SO many different combinations you can do with the shadows in this palette. I was always hesitant to buy this palette in the past due to the cost, but if you think about how many shadows are in there, it really is a good value. I cant wait to buy the Naked 2 palette, however this palette is amazing on its own. BUY IT!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
ClaireBear728 11/5/2011 11:05:00 AM
I LOVE these!!! After seeing all the great reviews of these lip butters, and seeing them in several YouTube reviews, I had to buy them. The ONLY place I have seen them so far is at one Walgreens where I live (NC). I have searched at CVS, Target, Rite Aid, and also bed Bath and Beyond (even called Ulta) but no other stores here have them yet. I have Sugar Frosting, Gumdrop, and also Sugar Plum. I normally do glosses, as I dont really like lipstick alone, but these lip butters have enough color that they look like a sheer lipstick. I really want to buy the Red Velvet one, but sadly, the store doesnt have all of the colors yet, so I have to wait on that one. (The Walgreens where I bought them only has a small shelf display of them with select colors). I will definitely buy more of these, but hopefully on sale eventually (I hate spending almost 8 dollars for each, but I bought them now at full price just because I really wanted to try them). The Sugar Frosting is a light color, the Gumdrop is slightly purple, and the Sugar Plum is a brownish, purple color (with a hint of pink) I love the sugar plum because it gives a slight red tint, but its not a tacky red. I originally got the Fig Jam, but I returned it because it was too brown (and there was no purple tint as a few people had stated in their reviews). I will definitely get more of these and recommend that everyone try them!

Hair Color -SAMY - fat foam
ClaireBear728 11/4/2011 11:18:00 PM
I just got this hair color today and its actually on my hair now as I type. I am a little hesitant that this product is going to work well and here is why: I went into both Walgreens AND Target today looking for this product (I normally dont use this dye, but I had a coupon) and both of these stores did not carry the dye. I finally found it at Rite Aid. When I opened the package, I saw that there was a coupon off my next box, that expired in February, 2011.....(Its now November, 2011 so this box is old...) Also, I have had it in my hair for about 15 minutes and it is burning slightly (this shouldnt really be happening, as I am dying my hair dark brown. There is no bleach for this color....) I am actually going to wash it out early since many of the reviews on here have stated that the color is a little darker than what the box portrays... I just got out of the shower and I will NEVER use this again. My hair was falling out (not TONS of it, but WAY more than normal!!! MY hair strands were also splitting, so Im pretty sure that my hair is going to be damaged from this. DO NOT GET THIS STUFF!!! There is a reason why it isnt in all stores. I can only PRAY that my color is ok when my hair dries...this stuff is no good. Please trust me. The only reason I didnt put it back in the box before I mixed the solution was because of the few good reviews on here. Stay away from it.
