Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Vamp It Up 919b

This is actually a pretty good product if you use it correctly. I have to apply it on smooth non flaky lips to get it to work right. I apply one layer of waxy lip balm at the center of my lips first since the lipstick consistency is hard/dry, line my lips, then start filling in with the lipstick till it gets creamy and the warmth of the skin melts it down a little. Blot then apply again. For the price, it's worth a try!

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - Peppermint

I got this for one dollar at grocery outlet! It's more slippery to the touch than the other original chapsticks and a lot less waxy. It's not as minty as the spearmint flavor but more subtle. One of my new favorites!

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Studio Tools Crease Brush
rated 5 of 5

Not only is this brush inexpensive, but the quality is amazingly great. These cost under $3. Works so much better than the white elf one which sheds like crazy. Definitely a gem. I've had the other shadow brushes back when they were called studio tools and now they are up and up brand. They have lasted me for 4 years now because of taking care of them well. I use this brush for creating dramatic smokey cut crease shadow looks and people compliment me and assume/ask if I'm using high end brushes. Definitely go out there and make a purchase ladies !

Mascara -Rimmel - Extra Super Lash mascara
rated 3 of 5
Chubz 4/15/2013 6:09:00 PM

I've been using this mascara for 3 days now. Since I'm a mascara hoarder and have been wearing mascara for years, it doesn't take me that long to experiment with mascaras for me to know if it works for me or not.. It doesn't smudge or smear, but it makes my lashes very grainy, clumpy, and messy. The brush... It doesn't coat my lashes evenly. I tried to like this so much bc of reading good reviews and how cheap it is but this is very mediocre.

Eyeliner -New York Color - High Definition Liquid Eyeliner extra black
rated 2 of 5
Chubz 4/12/2013 1:59:00 AM

not so HD! I only like this bc its fun to play with and I know that ill eventually use the tip of this to apply my gel liner once the product runs out. this stuff is watery, streaky, patchy, and even if you go over it a bunch of times it wont get opaque. it smudges. its better to spend on the nyc liquid liner with a brush tip. don't leave this upside down for a long period or else the ink will spill out everywhere into the cap leaving you a huge mess. I make sure to leave this in my purse if I want to put a nice sheer black line on my lids for a verry subtle look but other than that, its not that great of a product.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express The Falsies Flared
rated 5 of 5
Chubz 4/8/2013 12:06:00 AM

I didnt like this at first because im used to straight mascara brushes. This works for my lashes. I've never owned any curved brushes before and glad that the curved side hugs and gives my medium length lashes a lift. I get alot of length and some volume. For the price of $5.04 + tax and formula I would definitely repurchase!

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
rated 5 of 5

Loving it! I'm a lip balm hoarder and have everything from rose bud lip salve, Chapstick, Burt's bees, carmex in a stick/squeeze tube, eos, blistex, etc...and this is definitely my favorite. My lips can become very dry and flaky at times and this works the best for me. I love how waxy this stuff is and how it smooths out my lips after wearing it long enough.

Concealers -Cover Girl - Covergirl & Olay Concealer Balm
rated 4 of 5
Chubz 3/30/2013 11:29:00 PM

Loving it! Im a concealer whore. I've been using high end opaque concealers (MUFE full cover/amazing cosmetics/mac prolong wear/kat von d tattoo) and numerous drugstore concealers for years to cover up my awful dark under eye circles. I used to literally spend over 5 minutes to use a brush and dab out with sponge applicators etc. I tested this out on an "off day" where I just applied it directly from the lipstick shaped tube and patted it out with my ring finger + lightly set it with my hg maybelline dream matte powder that never cakes. It brightens up my under eye area and makes me look awake! However, it settles into my fine lines quickly if i don't set it enough, which is not the biggest issue since a little bit of my dream matte powder on my tiny sonia kashuk contour brush goes a long way. Pretty sure It's not as opaque as my expensive concealers but for $8 it works so well. Would definitely repurchase!

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black
rated 5 of 5
Chubz 3/21/2013 4:38:00 AM

Bought this for a little over $9 w a BOGO deal at rite aid. Pretty good drugstore gel liner for my oily lids which are crease prone for eyeshadow without my urban decay primer potion. Works much better and is much darker than MAC fluid line. I really like this liner and would repurchase If I ever run out. Tip: do not touch up liner with an angle brush if its already dried or else it will flake! I lined my upper lid in the morning for a daytime look. Then I got home and decided to draw a thicker line over it before I went clubbing that night. It flaked. Use a liquid liner to thicken lines or any winged liner to avoid the gel liner from flaking.

Lipstick -Kat Von D - Liquid Everlasting Love - Outlaw
rated 3 of 5
Chubz 3/11/2013 6:59:00 PM

As much as I love kat von d, it's better to invest in l'oreal infallible or cover girl outlast which comes with an amazing glossy and fruit scented top coat. This stuff is very drying and accentuates lines on the lips. It peels if you over apply. You can apply your own Chapstick or balm underneath but there are cheaper variations of these types of lip color. Sephora even has a matte creme lip stain for $12 and works the same.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush in Candid Coral
rated 4 of 5
Chubz 2/13/2013 3:56:00 PM

More like a highlighter than a blush. One of the most palest of frosty pink you can get. I tend to look at several different swatches online before I purchase the product. Reviews including swatches on blogs and YT made before 2011, the swatches look more pinky peachy and pigmented. Did elf change the product? Because I bought this last summer and it just looks like a light shimmery highlight. It's super powdery but you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend on nyc's west side wine which is also dirt cheap but beautiful rosey color.

Concealers -Cover Girl - Olay Simply Ageless
rated 5 of 5
Chubz 10/7/2012 8:45:00 AM

i am one who is very experienced in the concealer dept. and i LOVE this stuff... For dark circles only since I don't use any other type of cover up or foundations for my face... I've been so used to using only expensive opaque concealers to conceal my terrible under eye area (MUFE full cover/Mac pro long wear/amazing cosmetics) but now it's safe to say that I can use this drugstore stuff even on my "off days". It's that good. i dont think it's even opaque as the ones i mentioned above but for some weird reason it covers up my dark under eye area and makes me look awake!!! This doesn't settle into fine lines. There's a specific way I apply my concealer though: I use any concealer brush to apply about two layers of this stuff on, dab with a makeup sponge until it is nice and smooth for an airbrush effect (beauty blender is fine also), then set w/ maybelline dream matte powder (hg stuff never cakes!). It works so well. I hated paying $10 for this stuff but there is a lot of product and i would definitely repurchase!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Blending Brush
rated 2 of 5
Chubz 9/29/2012 4:51:00 PM

SHEDS LIKE CRAZY. One bristle was small enough to land in my eye and it was chillin there floating around the surface of my eyeball irritating my eye. And I had to pick off the bristles on my face after minimal blending on my crease. Save your money ladies and spend on the black studio tools brush sold at target for about $1.25 more. At least that one doesn't shed. I do like the $1 elf white basic eyeshadow brush though. It doesn't shed either.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
rated 5 of 5
Chubz 9/29/2012 4:42:00 PM

an excellent mascara. i used this long ago when I was not into makeup as much and had almost zero knowledge about makeup application. I believe I was 14 at the time and I honestly believed that great lash was america's number one according to commercials and my sis had bought me great lash lol. then my mom bought this for me and I realized that great lash is not the greatest haha... This lengthened, volumized, and separated my lashes. No smudges or clumps. can give a natural and dramatic look depending on how many layers. This is almost like a mini version of lash blast for me and able to get to the inner corner lashes. I haven't bought it in years because I like variety in my makeup collection, plus a 3 pack of lashblast fusion from Costco but I should really get back to this !

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Studio Matte Lip Color
rated 4 of 5
Chubz 9/23/2012 3:41:00 AM

I really like this product. you have to make sure your lips are smooth and exfoliated before you apply it though. When layered over lip balm, the product (which is very hard and stiff) becomes slippery to touch when in contact w your lips thus making the product not apply enough pigment. You have to put it on bare lips, then layer over a preferably non stickygloss. It works best that way. The reason why I love this is because it goes great under my maybelline color sensational touch of toffee lipgloss. Perfect dupe of Lucent nude gloss from Lancôme (promise phan's all time fave lip gloss)
