Lipstick -MAC - Lady Danger

I LOVE THIS. Maybe I am weird, though - other commenters are saying it's long-lasting and won't budge, but it absolutely budges on me when I drink or eat something. I've applied three times already today! But I don't care. It looks so pretty and fresh and bright and fun. I wear it to work daily.

Tinted Moisturizer -LUSH - Colour Supplement

I have FINALLY figured out how this works best for me. I really think it varies from person to person. I take a bit of Lush Vanishing Cream moisturizer, and slightly MORE of the Dark Yellow Color Supplement, and blend them really well together with my fingers, then put it on like I was just putting moisturizer on. (Yes I have thoroughly washed my hands before I do this!) Before, I was putting it on like foundation and it wouldn't sink in properly - I'd be shiny by noon. Now it works perfectly and I'm moisturized, dewy but not shiny. This is the greatest. Your real skin can actually breathe and be seen without a mask-like layer of makeup, which is how I was wearing foundation before. I still wear concealer for under-eye circles and the occasional spot, though. I'm not CRAZY about the packaging, but I'm using a little plastic scoop to get the product I need out. Overall, I'm really happy with this.

Lipstick -Revlon - Cherries In The Snow
rated 4 of 5
Christy1745 10/26/2012 1:55:00 PM

I just bought this yesterday and so far I'm finding it bleeds on me a bit. I have to apply it and blot it just right, but it definitely is a nice color and lasts for a long time. It's pretty dark and red on me, not as much pink. Edit: I have found this works best if I blot it or press it on and wear it as a sort of lip stain. Otherwise it's too much.

Moisturizers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan oil

I got this as a sample at Sephora and I'm ready to buy the full bottle. It absorbs quickly and makes my skin feel baby-soft. It gives me a glow that I haven't experienced with other oils I've tried, and with my oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin, IT DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT! I absolutely love it!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Lipstick Stoplight Red
rated 4 of 5
Christy1745 12/14/2011 1:31:00 PM

I love this lipstick! Wow! When they say Megalast...they mean it. I wore it for a Christmas party/dinner this past Saturday and it did not budge even through four courses of food! I still looked great for all the pictures afterward! I did exfoliate and moisturize before I put it on, though. And you need to warm it up before you try putting it on because it's not a super creamy texture. It really delivers the matte look which I love. Super cheap too - $2,99 at CVS.

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
rated 5 of 5
Christy1745 12/14/2011 1:28:00 PM

I needed a blush to wear with bright red lipstick and this is what came up when I google searched! Apparently it is a good dupe for NARS Orgasm which I've never worn but heard a lot about. I'm using it with my own brush and I find that it's not too sparkly. It gives you a warm peachy glow that looks great with a brighter lip or eye look. It was about $7 at CVS and I am going to take a second look at the rest of their products too.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Studio Mineral Infused Mascara
rated 4 of 5

I love the brush. There is literally NO clumping when you use this mascara. I don't find that it volumizes your lashes at all, but it does make them look super long and separated! And the brush is so skinny and easy to use, you can get in to some lashes that don't normally get any mascara on them. Overall the look is very natural which is what I've been going for lately, so it's nice.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Yes To Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment Cream
rated 4 of 5
Christy1745 7/25/2011 12:31:00 PM

I have never used an eye cream that made me believe it was really making a difference, except for Eminence Wild Plum Eye Cream, which I had a few samples of once, but never shelled out the $60-70 for a full tube. I have found that while this cream doesn't have the same delightful scent as the Eminence, it feels very similar and does a great job of moisturizing the eye area. It's too soon to tell if it's actually "working"/doing anything for my dark circles and fine lines, but for now, I give it good grades and it's a nice cheaper alternative to the Eminence.

Shampoo -Yes To Carrots - Pampering Carrot Juice Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
Christy1745 7/25/2011 12:25:00 PM

Edited: nope. Not working. Have to return a shampoo that my hair stops responding to after a few days. After a few days of my hair feeling great, it started to not get my hair clean no matter how hard I tried.

I'm another person who switched to this from Lancome Bifacil. I've found it produces the exact same results for $10 instead of $28. Perfect!

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Christy1745 1/26/2011 5:33:00 PM

The best foundation I have ever used. I tried to find a substitute when I was trying to save a little money. NOT a good idea. I need a lot of coverage, but don't like looking as though I'm wearing a mask of makeup. This foundation achieves the medium to full coverage I want while still somehow managing to look fresh and natural. I have combo to oily skin and don't experience any shine or fading throughout the day. Pricey, but worth it. It lasted me a year last time I bought it.

Highlighters -E.L.F. - All Over Color Stick
rated 4 of 5
Christy1745 1/23/2011 5:08:00 PM

I think they fixed the packaging - it works fine for me as a twist up solid stick. I didn't apply it directly from the stick to my cheeks - I warmed it with my fingers and applied that way. Blends nicely and gives you a slightly shimmery pinky flush. I think it looks nice, but I haven't tried it on eyes or lips.

Lipstick -Clinique - Almost Lipstick - Black Honey
rated 5 of 5
Christy1745 1/6/2011 1:17:00 AM

I like it a lot. Simple, natural, flattering, feels great when it goes on. It doesn't look like you are wearing anything. It's a very subtle "flushed" look, more of a stain than a lipstick. I guess that's why they call it "almost lipstick?" wow. :) Anyway, it's great. Even flattered my skin tone which has a lot of red.

Meh. Just okay. It doesn't lather very well. I also can't really tell if it's making a difference or not with my color.

Concealers -Almay - Bright Eyes Eye Base + Concealer
rated 1 of 5
Christy1745 10/21/2010 10:21:00 PM

Uh, not good. I used it as a concealer and it was gone a few hours later - way too yellow for me also. As a primer, it didn't do much either. I also didn't like the squeeze tube and brush combo. It squirted sooooo much out without me realizing it and I got the feeling you would waste a lot of it with daily use. So I returned it.
