Best Kabuki brush out there for $6.00. Bought mine at Target. Really nice bristles, not too hard, or soft. Works great when applying my pressed powder makeup. Everything goes on smooth and looks flawless. Washes really well, and doesn't lose many bristles which is great!! A brush this good under ten bucks!!! super buy! Why pay more when this brush does it all!!

Hair -L'anza - Urban Elements Molding Paste
rated 5 of 5
Chirpy 12/30/2012 12:43:00 AM

White pasty texture that you rub between your hands...then into your hair to add volume, mold and define hair. Adds great boost to curly hair!! It says you can put it into damp hair before blow-drying... I prefer after. It is easier to put the fly-aways in their place and separate and define sections. I really like this product because on those days when you don't want hairspray, the hold works pretty good...smells great and the container will last you long time. My NEW fav. styling product!

Super shampoo! My newest fav! Cleans well without stripping color, washes out all products including my Paul Mitchell freeze and shine (on big hair days). My hair is soft and shiny, but not limp or greasy. It makes my hair feel better every day. Sometimes shampoo can may my face breakout around my hairline, or on the sides of my face,.but no reactions from this brand. Love the smell...love everything about this product!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 1 of 5
Chirpy 8/25/2012 11:23:00 PM

Bought the Mia2 from Sephora on July 2nd.  Was told by the sales lady about the initial purge that MAY happen.  I explained the fact that at 43, I am still breaking out every once and a while....and I was worried how bad the purge might be.    She said 'it might happen' but to stick with it because once it was over, my skin would be fantastic!! The first 3 days my skin felt great (using it once daily at night) very clean and it took all my makeup off !  Loved it...and then...BOOM!   My face started to break out in tiny little oil pimples.  Not white heads, but oil filled pockets that started to spread.  By the end of the week I counted over 25 oil filled pockets and cysts.  I didn't know what to do, I didn't want to leave the house, and had to use twice the amount of makeup I would normally put on to cover everything up.   Thank goodness I was on holidays at the time because I didn't want to go anywhere or see anyone.  I felt like I was 15 again.   I read up on Clarisonic and other people's initial purges.  I took their advice to use it  every other day...then every three days...then went down to once a week.  Each time I used it, my face produced immediate oil pockets of never ending oil.   I finally stopped using it after 6 weeks of hell.  Should I have stuck with it longer? I felt so bad about how I looked I just couldn't do it!! In one week of not using it, all my 30 pimples have stopped producing oil...there are some red marks, and lots of scars and scabs.  Each day my face improves, and I feel a little better about going to work.  Packing on tons of makeup during +35 weather was not my idea of fun with my oily skin.  Yes, my holidays kinda sucked because I was so self conscious .... but live and learn I guess.   I really wanted this to work for me because all my friends who own one have glowing beautiful skin.   Returned it today ... Sephora gave me a full refund since Clarisonics have a 90 day return policy.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Exact Eyelights Mascara in Black Ruby for Green Eyes
rated 1 of 5
Chirpy 4/21/2009 9:07:00 AM

I bought the CG Exact Eyelights for GREEN eyes - color BLACK RUBY. It is neither black or ruby. It goes on light a light mauve color, and does NOTHING to make your eyes pop. It actually made my eyes look smaller because the color on the lashes was so flat and greyish. WILL NOT PURCHASE AGAIN. Maybeline FULL&SOFT is the way to go!

Chirpy 9/19/2008 10:53:00 PM

Not only does this product have hold, it has BOOST...mega BOOST. When I don't put this on my hair before blow-drying my hair is ho-hum. When I spray it on I can actually get my hair twice the size. My hair is like a Chia pet on crack! Love it! Volume and hold, even enhances curls! Will buy this forever!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche in Mica
rated 5 of 5
Chirpy 6/18/2008 10:26:00 PM

FAB-U-LOUS Color that anyone can wear. Slight plum/pink-with a little shimmer! I only wear Jane Lipsticks because they have no scent. The L'Oreal on the other hand has a slight smell to the lipstick, but I can get past it because the color is sooo nice! I have worn this all week and everyday someone has said what a lovely color! Lasts a long time - feels great on! I was at my local drugstore and when I walked by the L'Oreal display, it was the ONLY lipstick in their color selection that was sold out. GET YOURS WHILE YOU CAN!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara

Chirpy 4/12/2008 6:21:00 PM

My new 2008 great find! After reading reviews here (how many times have we heard that!) I went in search of this mascara at my local drugstore. Great brush, great coverage, NO flakes or smudges, no weird smelling ingredients, didn't make my eyes tear or run after a long day. Curl your lashes first with lash curler! WOW~! This has to be the best mascara out there. It cost about $8.50 Canadian which isn't too bad. It is easily removed with eye makeup remover pads. LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Kabuki Brush
rated 5 of 5
Chirpy 4/12/2008 6:16:00 PM

A great new 2008 find! This is hands down the BEST Kabuki brush I have used! It is soooo soft! I love it. It can be used to apply powder, bronzer or blush. It says this brush is great for use with mineral cosmetics...I use it to apply my matte face power out of my compact. My skin seems smoother using this brush! Haven't lost too many hairs/bristles from the brush unlike my more expensive Kabuki's. I picked this up when I was in CVS pharmacy in Montana. If I knew it was this good I would have bought more than one! Can't wait to get back to the USA and stock up!

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Smile Brightening Lip Treatment - Brilliant
rated 2 of 5
Chirpy 4/10/2007 4:31:00 PM

This product has the weirdest shades. None of them would be a color I would normally purchase. I bought the darkest color, which is a plum/berry/pink shade. The gloss is kind of sheer, and I don't think I would ever wear it alone. It is kind of sticky, and has a little peppermint smell to it. I do wear it over my Jane - Mulberry Bush lipstick and it REALLY makes my teeth look whiter! Alone...not so much. It's a great gimmick, but the lack of color options, and the sheer way it goes on...save your $7.00 for something else. Will not repurchase. If you like layering your lipstick and gloss, give it a try if you can find a color that you would want to wear.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream
rated 5 of 5
Chirpy 2/19/2007 12:23:00 AM

THIS IS MY #1 HG ITEM OF ALL TIME! My husband bought this when he was working out of town - thinking it was our usual brand (aveeno baby daily moisture lotion - light blue tube). Well this is 100% time better. It's in the baby section of stores, dark blue tube lid with the name AVEENO BABY SOOTHING RELIEF MOISTURE CREAM. I never thought I would ever say this about another lotion in my life - but this one is worth every $$$$$! The temperature here has been between -35 and -40 for the past month - worst winter weather ever. My Eczema has been acting up and the wind burn on my hands has been terrible. This lotion has made the winter temperatures bearable! My dry skin is thanking me, my dry heels on my feet feel like they do after a good pedicure. It is thick, rich and fragrance free. Anyone with troubled skin would really benefit by trying this lotion. My only gripe - I really wish they sold it in bulk or a larger pump bottle. **Aveeno - MAKE A BIGGER BOTTLE OF THIS AMAZING STUFF!!!**

Shampoo -Brocato - Cloud 9 Miracle Repair Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
Chirpy 2/15/2007 11:49:00 AM

I read the reviews here...and had recommendations from others and decided to give this a try. I bought it in combination with the conditioner. The shampoo on it's own is GREAT! When I use it my hair has extra body-bounce-curl!!and shine. It will give you a great hair day no matter what! This is a definite staple in my shower and is one of the better hair products I have tried in the past year! ******* DON'T BOTHER with the matching conditioner. It seemed to dry out my hair and cause fly-aways. It is not moisturizing at all - and might turn you off of such a great shampoo as you can see in the review below - too bad she didn't read this first! Find the conditioner you love the best and pair it up with this great product!
