This does not volumize very well and the brush shape is horrible. I prefer a straight brush. I got this in Walmart on a whim but I got suckered in. This is not very good at all. It is very black though.

I love this serum. It's lightweight, doesn't make my skin oilier, feels nourishing and definitely makes my skin look brighter. I am not sure why so many negative reviews, but anyone using this should also be using a broad spectrum SPF of at least 30 on their face, every single day. If you're not, you are not protecting the brightened skin this product reveals. You need to block your skin from the sun, which is the cause of discoloration and aging skin!
I like this, but I didn't at first. I had to try it 3 or 4 times to like it. I think that I just don't like how it starts out, but after it dries down it's much better. I'm not good with fragrance notes, so don't count on me to describe it further. There's something sort of 'Late '80's' about this fragrance, but that's not a bad thing.
Cleansers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan Cleansing Oil
Chickadee 8/27/2012 8:13:00 PM
This cleansing oil is very thick and difficult to massage into the face unless you use a lot each time. If you don't, you will still have eye makeup smeared over your face. This doesn't hold a candle to Shu Uemura. I like a lot of Josie's other products but this one was a fail for me. Shu and even Origins make better cleansing oils. I also don't know what was up with this, but mine seemed to separate a little into layers, but nowhere on the directions did it say to shake it up.
As other reviewers have stated, this is a very wet formula that doesn't build very well. The spoon or paddle type wand is nice because you can apply with the flat part and then comb through your lashes with the narrower part. I like this more after a few weeks when it dried out some. It is really black and lengthens a bit, but doesn't build volume. Although it doesn't claim to. The waterproof version is pretty much the same, I've tried both.
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

I was really looking forward to getting this in the BoS IV and to me it added a lot of value to the set. It does go on nice and very black. I had no issues with applying it as long as I was careful and took my time. But towards the end of the day, it started flaking off in big chunks. I think I'll stick with my L'Oreal felt tip liner.
I just got this from QVC during All Access Beauty day. I was very excited because this came in a set which also included the Argan concealer. I would rate the coverage as light to medium. This isn't going to cover a lot of imperfections, but it does a nice job of evening out my skin tone and the color changing formula is an interesting concept, although I think the lighter coverage is what makes this work for a range of skin tones. I really doubt that pigments can sense what color you are and change to that color on their own. But I do really like the color and it looks very natural on me. What I didn't like is the feeling when this is first applied. It burns just a tiny bit, and feels grainy on the skin for the first 10 seconds or so. I am not sure what is causing this feeling, but it's not so pleasant. But once I see the color, I forget about it because it gives me a fresh glow and looks pretty. This would be great for photos because it lacks sunscreen. After a few hours, I found myself having to blot with powder, I had developed a bit of shine. It's hard not to love Josie and her products, because she's so beautiful and adorable and doesn't look or sound fake like so many other celebrities. I admit I envy her carefree, bohemian style.
Treatments -Garnier - Fructis Triple Nutrition Nutrient Spray

This product is just okay. It does contain shea butter, olive oil, avocado oil, and blackcurrant oil, which are nicely moisturizing, but I don't know if there's enough of these ingredients to really make a difference. I use this midday when my hair is starting to frizz out a little bit, and it helps a little. I have not had any crunchy hair with this, like other reviewers. This is not a hairspray. After a few uses, I added some argan oil and some essential oils to boost performance. This isn't bad, but you can make your own spray conditioner that's much better than this and doesn't contain any chemicals. (Use aloe juice, essential oils, argan oil, and olive oil. Makes a fantastic conditioner! Just make sure that one of the essential oils is anti-bac, like lavender or tea tree, to prevent spoiling, and you're good to go!)
This is a nice formula but just way too bright. Maybe that's the point, but I prefer more sheer colors. This looked like hot pink latex paint on me. A brighter version of a porn star look. I actually don't think any of the ladies in the photos for this review look good.
I may finally have found The One as far as styling products goes. This stuff is incredible. My hair used to be straighter, but ever since I had children, I have had wavy/curly hair that forms somewhat loose ringlets. I got this product with a coupon at Ulta on a whim, and today was the first time I used this. Today happened to be a good test day, as I had an outdoor birthday party in the afternoon, came home for a minute or 2, and then left for another birthday party that took place in a hot Indian restaurant. I danced, chased my children, socialized, and sweat a little at times. My hair looked nothing short of amazing the entire day and night. It's about 11 PM now, and my hair is still silky, separated ringlety waves with incredible body and no frizz. I really can't believe it. This product is not cheap, but at this rate I can see it becoming HG material. My hair still feels and looks amazing, with no crunchy ends or frizz whatsoever. Love this!!
I got this in a set from Marshalls around Xmas time for around $30-$40. I really like the scent, it actually reminds me of canned peaches, it's sweet and light and floral-fruity. A good, clean workday scent or for relaxed weekends. More recently though, I swapped for a full size of the body scrub, and OMG... this is the thickest, creamiest, most moisturizing, luxurious, body scrub ever!! It's seriously like spreading pudding or deep conditioner on your body with scrubbies in it. Sooo amazing and leaves your skin so soft. So even if you are just 'meh' on the fragrance, check out the scrub!
I love this stuff! I got this in a set over the holidays, and waited until I was out of my other sunscreen before I tried it. This is the best sunscreen I've used on my face! It feels very lightweight and doesn't make me shiny or oily at all. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell that reminds me of Vicks cough medicine. But I can get past that because this product performs. Good job Josie!
I have this in Infinite Berry. It gives a very pretty, slightly translucent color, almost like a stain. The color itself is perfect for me. It is a bit sticky, but that's what makes it last. You won't be kissing anybody with this one on. The best thing about it, is that it doesn't dry my lips out. Every other long wearing lipstick or gloss I've tried leaves me with dry, peeling crocodile lips by the end of the day, but not this one. I'll be trying more colors for sure!
I don't see what the hype is about with this product. It's not that special. I bought Sweet Tart but this color is really too bright for me, and too pink. I ended up swapping it. These are not that moisturizing and did nothing for my lips. If I didn't know any better, I'd think these are modeled after YSL Rouge Volupte, but come on, do you really think they'd stand a chance? Not likely.
I love this perfume!! I was very apprehensive, as I normally HATE anything with tuberose. But this is SO different. The tuberose is there, but it's not smack-you-in-the-face tuberose. It's a pretty floral and the tuberose is lingering but not charging at you like a wild rhino. The black leather is nice too, it kind of balances the whole thing out. And I LOVE the bottle. It's tough, but sweet at the same time, with sort of a vintage feel. Well done Fergie!!
