Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Moisture
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 1/17/2012 8:40:00 PM

This is Nivea lip balm, A Touch of Moisture. The packaging is standard, just a blue plastic tube, would be nice if it clicked close. This balm is really nice though and does its job well. It's untinted and unscented, but makes your lips look healthy and pretty. It melts into your lips and feels slightly slippery but not annoyingly so. It lasts for a good while, and has seriously protected my lips this winter. It's a little more than I would pay for a balm like this, but you get a good amount of product, and you can find coupons and sales on it. This is something to stock up on for the winter!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 1/17/2012 8:30:00 PM

This is Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. This is a lovely berry shade, sort of cool pinkish-purple, with a creamy smooth finish. I like wearing this for work and nights out. It's a deeper shade on my fair skin but it still works because it isn't too deep for those with dark hair. Blond or red hair may have problems with this shade. It's soft and moisturizing. There is a slight vanilla smell, but nothing too loud. The packaging is cute and functional. I would definitely buy this again.

Lips -Revlon - Color Burst lip butter - Cotton Candy
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 1/17/2012 8:23:00 PM

This is Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy. It is a sheer, pearly, cool light pink color. This had a hint of gold shimmer in it, which warms it up so no corpse lips. I love this as an everyday color, since it is noticeable but VERY wearable. The packaging is compact, neat, and pretty, though the bottom of the tube is a bit small to grasp. Very moisturizing and wears for a good while, even through drinking.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Cherry Tart
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 1/17/2012 8:17:00 PM

I love these lip butters! This is Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. It is a bright, cool, pinkish-red. I can't wear most reds because they overpower my fair skin, but this is sheer on the first swipe but can be layered to a deeper red. The packaging is good, pretty and functional, and I like the little window in the top so you can see what it looks like. This isn't a balm, more like a super-rich and moisturizing lipstick, though some of the other shades are sheerer. It has a slightly sheened finish. Love!

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - True Shimmer
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 3/11/2010 10:53:00 PM

I hunted for these everywhere when they first came out, but gave up after a while... until my SO presented them to me as a little gift! He found them at a local drugstore and thought I might like them. I absolutely do! I received all four of these Chapstick Shimmers in one package. All of them feel lovely on the lips, waxy and smooth, and the shimmer is just right for my lips- not gritty or disco-ball-esque. I prefer the berry one for color (light pink), the tropical one (nude shimmer) for taste/scent, and the peppermint (blue/silvery shimmer) for the cool tingly feeling it leaves on my mouth. The fruit sherbet one is nice too, and I like the color (purple), but it's my least favorite taste-wise. I will definitely be buying the peppermint and tropical ones again, if SO can find them!

Polishes -Maybelline - Express Finish - Pie in the Sky
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 3/11/2010 10:43:00 PM

My SO got this polish for me and I love it! It's a very pretty periwinkle blue, soft and perfect for those who want to try "different" colors slowly. I have cool skin but I also think it would look good on warmer tones as well. It does exactly what it promises- it dries quite fast and I had no trouble with smudging and little chipping. I recommend two coats for this polish since it's a little thin, but it goes on very evenly and smoothly with a great creamy finish. I would definitely buy this color again and am hinting to the SO for other colors!

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in True Love
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 12/11/2009 12:55:00 AM

I got this Tarte cheekstain in True Love for $10. I've never tried a gel-type blush before and originally did not like how pink it was and didn't know how to apply it (gunky). Now that I've learned a few tricks, I love it! I apply a bit on two fingers and gently pat it onto my cheeks, which keeps my makeup from smearing. IT's a very pretty fresh pink and looks nice with a simple face.

Conditioner -Pantene - Pantene Restoratives Anti-Breakage Conditioner
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 11/4/2009 10:54:00 PM

My hair is really fine and has a tendency to break off because the scalp is oily, but the ends are dry since I blow dry / straighten my hair. A woman I know recommended this to me and I've used it for about 3 months now and I really like it! I use it twice a week, (Not even halfway throught the bottle) and my hair has stopped breaking off! It doesn't make my hair any oilier since I use it on the ends only and I haven't noticed that it's weighing down my hair at all. Will definitely repurchase.

Lipstick -Almay - Almay Hydracolor Lipstick
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 10/14/2009 7:38:00 PM

I bought this for a dollar not long ago. I chose the color Red, more of an experiment, since I typically buy pink lipsticks. It was hard to tell what type of red this was, since I needed a blue-based red and it looked more brown in the packaging, which is white and silver with a clear bit in the middle (at least it clicks closed, which I like). I did like the cooling feeling it left on my lips, and it is very pigmented. Almost a bit too pigmented, so I've been dabbing it on my lips and putting clear balm on top. Otherwise, it is a very nice true red and a lovely introduction to red lipcolor! EDIT: I went back and got the color Petal also, which is more coral, and I like how subtle it is with a smoky eye.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Wet Shine Fusion
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 10/14/2009 7:28:00 PM

I got this for a dollar, which made it worth a try. I am actually quite pleased with the results. I got this in Blush Boost, a very pretty lightish pink which is sort of a "my-lips-but-better" shade for me. It glides on pretty easily and is buildable for a more opaque look. However, if you absolutely don't like shimmer in your lip products, I wouldn't recommend this. It does have a nice shimmer though, not too noticeable and not chunky.I also adore the packaging, a slim purply-pink tube that clicks closed so it doesn't come undone in the purse. Will repurchase in this and other colors!

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - High Beam
rated 4 of 5
CheshireCat415 9/2/2009 10:15:00 PM

I really like this product! I have pale skin, so it doesn't work extremely well on my cheekbones, but it works perfectly to highlight the arch of the eyebrow. I also dab this under my eyes to brighten them if I haven't had a good night's sleep. The light reflects off the shimmer and makes me look wide awake!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Exotic Coconut body splash
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 8/9/2009 9:02:00 PM

I got this product on sale, so I can't really say much except I loved the sale price. I think this smell is simply divine. I don't think it's too strong. It smells like sweetened fresh coconut. I don't get why people complain about BBW's scents being too strong, since they put testers out to make sure you enjoy what you're buying. I think this product is lovely and I will definitely repurchasing.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
CheshireCat415 8/9/2009 1:30:00 AM

I LOVE these eyeliners!! I have them in black, brown, and purple. They can be smudged very easily after application, but definitely stay put when dry. I wear these everyday and have had no raccoon eyes. I was a teeny bit skeptical about the price at first, but once I had a go with the eyeliner on, I fell in love. These are definitely worth the price.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Flashy Liner Waterproof
rated 3 of 5
CheshireCat415 8/9/2009 1:24:00 AM

Oh, how I wanted to love this eyeliner! The price was right, the packaging truly "flashy," but unfortunately it was not waterproof. It wore well for a few hours, but then started smudging. Also, I bought the brown shade, but it ended up being this odd orange-dark bronze color, which isn't very flattering. This product went back to Sephora.
