I work out 5 x's a week and I don't want to wash my hair each time (that would be twice a day since I shower in the morning) - nor do I want to wash my hair every morning when I shower. So - with sweat and product build up, my hair can look a little greasy. Not anymore with this stuff - it's fantastic. I'd give it a five, except I don't like the 'aerosal' smell.
Hair Styling Tools -Revlon - RV544 Tourmaline Ionic Hairdryer
CaseyCat 10/18/2006 9:27:00 PM
LOVE! I bought this one becaues I can't afford the T3 from Sephora. The other reviewers sealed it for me - I ordered it from Amazon.com after reading all the rave reviews. Add mine! With out styling my hair, meaning if I just do a regular blow-dry, I can dry my thick hair in 9 minutes. Before it was 20-25. If I style it, add on another 5-10 minutes. It's light and fast. I really like this dryer a LOT.
Styling Products -Ojon - Conditioning Volumizing Foam
CaseyCat 10/8/2006 5:37:00 PM
I purchased this nearly two years ago but rarely used it because I didn't need volume. However lately I've been using it and I love it. My hair is more manageable and shiney yet it is never sticky at all. Mark this as another Ojon product I can't live with out.
I didn't see any results with this product and I used it every night for two months. My pores didn't shrink and my skin didn't look brighter. I was very disappointed and will not purchase it again.
I paid $3.00 for this tube of mascara and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't clump on the lashes but it did clump slightly on the wand. It came off pretty easy with make up remover and I will buy again. I just put down over $20- for Lancome's Defancils. What posessed me to do such a thing?
Moisturizers -Olay - Total Effects Night Firming Cream

I need a fairly inexpensive night time treatment for the neck and eye area. My mom started using this and I can really tell a difference around her neck area. I like the smell of this product and how it absorbs easily in to the sking. If I notice good results around the crows feet, I'll post back.
Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose
CaseyCat 1/29/2006 12:35:00 AM
After a snafu with Drugstore.com, I finally got my order of the Repair Serum. I've wanted to try it because I heard raving reviews about the product. I was surprised at how fast in absorbs in to the skin and how it's not terribly oily considering it's all oil. My main use for it is for the "11"'s I have between the eyes. While they haven't disappeared it has helped diminish the look of the 11's. I am going to take the advice of another reviewer and try it under make up. I wasn't sure if this was a night time only regimen or not.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
CaseyCat 11/11/2005 9:48:00 PM
What a waste of my time. I always like to try L'oreal's mascara so when I saw a coupon in last Sunday's paper and also saw Target had it on sale, I bought one. Step one involves white-out looking gook that is suppose to help extend the lashes and the second step involves coating the white-out with black mascara. The want reminded me a bit of Bare Escentuals brushless wand, only this one was slightly better owing to the fact that it has little ridges on one side so it combs your lashes. (much more perferable over the BE mascara) I have used it for three days now and my lashes are NOT shocking long. It's an average mascara and sometimes the black portion of the mascara does not cover the black. Will not buy again.
I just received the TSV (available November 19th, but you can get it now on QVC.com) and Trudy is in there. It looks very similar to warmth, however, it made my face look pretty red. I stopped using it after I caught a glimpse of myself in bad lighting. Granted it was bad lighting, but my face shoudln't look sunburnt. I'm going to stick with Clear Radiance and Rose Radiance.
Mascara -Maybelline - Sky High Curves Extreme Length and Curl [DISCONTINUED]
CaseyCat 11/3/2005 11:17:00 PM
I find this mascara to work really really well when you re-apply it after a couple of hours after original applications. When I did that, it really curled. It doesn't smudge and is easy to apply. It's an average mascara and I'd said I'd buy it again, but not until I find "the perfect mascara". :)
Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
CaseyCat 11/1/2005 2:49:00 PM
My sister stayed with me a for a week and she started using Purity. I wanted to try it so she brought me a sample. Because I was having such a difficult time removing my mascara using my Estee Lauder Make Up Remover, I heard that this cleanser would take off all my make up. It didn't work on the mascara and didn't make my skin feel clean. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I chose I'd buy it again because I liked using it on my make up brushes but I don't think I'll change from my Shiseido to this product.
When philosophy.com had this incredible deal of a free perfume with any purchase, I jumped online and ordered this product. I was a little skeptical because I'm not a fan of philosophy's food scented shower gels, however their 'non $16- ones' (can't explain it other than price range, sorry! :-o ) are pretty good. I like citrus fragrances and thought Lemonade sounded perfect for the summer. I received it and fell in love with it. It does smell like freshly cut lemons and doesn't have an artificial taste. The smell doesn't linger on the body either. My mother who is a Dove soap die-hard visited me over the summer and really enjoyed using this gel because she said it was 'refreshing' and didn't dry her skin out the way some showergels can. So, I bought her her own bottle! I'll definately get another next summer. (Smelled the Apple version at Sephora and enjoyed that as well. Smells like a crisp apple, not applepie sweet, but just picked apple)
Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Sugar Cookie Kiss Me Lip Balm
CaseyCat 10/6/2005 2:15:00 AM
I also received this in the Gingerbread Kit from QVC. I also use it at night and love the sugar cookie smell, too! (but it tastes icky) It's a moisturizing balm however for the price it should be spectacular. What cracked me up about this is I watched QVC's philosophy presentation last night and they were practically suggesting using this as a COLOR for the lips. Nu-uh. One of the reasons why I wear it at bedtime is so that no one will see me with it on. Remember applying Blistex to your lips and they turned white? Right, not a great look. I'd only recommend this as a treatment, not a color.
I like this foundation primer. I find that a little goes a long way when applying. Too much will leave the skin feeling tacky so it's best to apply very lightly. It doesn't have a fragrance, is cool to the skin and really helps minimize pores. My foundation appears to be more even and lasts longer. I really like this product.
While I don't quite get the soap and water scent that Christina and Daria insist it smells like, I will have to say I enjoy this fragrance. It is the only perfume I can wear that does not "turn" on me. It is also the only perfume I can wear that doesn't give me a headache. It's a soft scent and isn't over powering at all. If you're sensitive to fragrances, stop by your local Sephora or Nordstroms (or whereever philosophy is sold) and give it a spritz.
