I am about to start my second tube of this. I LOVE IT. It is just enough moisture for my face. My skin looks wonderful since I started using this. No more dry patches and no breakouts! I love this for daily wear and I plan to try more LRP sunscreens for days I will be out in the sun longer.

Cleansers -Eucerin - Redness Relief Soothing Cleanser

I have been interested in trying this product ever since it hit the market, and I am so glad I finally did. I was hesitant to try it because I have severe plant allergies and I was worried about the licochalcone (an extrat from licorice root). I can't even use aloe because of my allergies. But after a year of using cetaphil, I was ready to try something else. My skin was becoming irritated and I had a lot of blotchiness. I caved and gave this a try and it has been wonderful. I have been using it for over 3 weeks now and it removes all my makeup and sunscreen. My skin is so soft but I can't really say I have scene a huge inprovement with the redness. However, I don't have as many clogged pores. I only need a little to wash my face and if I'm not careful, more than I need comes out. UPDATE: I am still loving this but I have switched to a new sunscreen which is harder to remove and I don't feel clean with just this cleanser. I now use Jojoba oil to remove everything then follow with this cleanser.

Sunscreen -Shiseido - Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 55 PA+++ [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
Carrigan19 7/8/2006 1:41:00 PM

I really love this sunscreen for summer. I used the lotion version last summer, but found it too drying. The cream is perfect and I have had no breakouts. I use jojoba oil and a soft baby wash cloth to remove it, followed by cetaphil genlte cleanser. The price doesn't bother me. I don't think it's too expensive (but definitely more than drugstore sunscreen) especially since it works so well. I have even gotten my mother looking into trying it. My only complaint is I have to drive almost an hour to get to a store that carries Shiseido, but it's worth it. UPDATE: I can't use this anymore. I find it too drying after awhile and I have found a better alternative. No need to go out of my way for this anymore.

Sunscreen -Hawaiian Tropic - Hawaiian Tropic Oil-Free Faces SPF 30, Sheer Reflections Formula [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
Carrigan19 7/3/2006 3:04:00 PM

I decided to give this a try since it is getting really humid and I needed a sunscreen that would hold up better with the hot weather. I usually use Shiseido during the summer, but I wanted something cheaper. BIG MISTAKE. This really irritated my face. It dried my skin out terribly, turned it red and caused a painful rash. I'm not sure what is in it that caused the bad reaction (Hawaiian Tropic doesn't put the inactive ingredients on the bottle). I have never had a problem with chemical sunscreens before, so I am really confused. I stopped using it and switched to Shiseido SPF55 cream, and my face went back to normal. I have a lot of allergies but since they don't list the ingredients, I have no way of knowing what caused the reaction. EDIT: I see from a review below that this contains Aloe. I have a bad allergy to aloe and many other plants. I wish I would have known this before trying. Companies really should list there ingredients for those who have terrible allergies.

Skincare - Face -Stridex - Triple Action Pads, Alcohol Free
rated 5 of 5
Carrigan19 5/22/2006 1:15:00 PM

I am on my third container of these and I won't be without them. I was using Paula's Choice BHA gel, but it never really cleared my skin and the aloe was actually irritating to me (I am very sensitive to aloe). I decided to try these since they are now alcohol free. They work great! They can be quit drying so I definitly would start out only using them once a day or every other day. I use these at night and then moisturise with jojoba oil and my face looks great. These have also done wonders on one the breakouts on my back and shoulders and the ingrown hairs I sometimes get on my legs after shaving.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Age Shield Sunblock Spf45
rated 1 of 5
Carrigan19 5/22/2006 9:38:00 AM

Since I work out everyday after lunchtime, I have to shower an reapply my sunscreen twice a day. I needed a cheaper alternative to my expensive Lancome Beinfait, which I love. I decided to try this and after a month I am giving up. First off, I never had a sunscreeen ball up like this one. It makes a complete mess. It seems matte, but as the day went on, I noticed my powder ( I only wear a little powder and concealer where needed) became very cakey and gross looking. Plus it caused my powder to turn orange. The biggest deal breaker: MAJOR BREAKOUT!! I developed lots of clogged pores and very painful, very big acne. Also, my face became VERY dry and red. I stopped using this three days ago and went back to my Lancome. My face has calmed down and the acne is almost gone.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30
rated 5 of 5
Carrigan19 4/1/2006 3:42:00 PM

For now my search for a sunscreen has ended. I have been using this for 3 months now and I love it. I am very acne prone and this has not caused any breakouts. In fact, my skin looks the best it has in years. I can't rave enough about this sunscreen. I have tried many sunscreens including Cetaphil (Stings and is greasy), Shiseido (very drying and clogged my pores), DHC White (caused breakouts), and many, many others. This is the only sunscreen I have been able to stick with and actually see a difference in my skin. My face is softer and looks healthier. I am interested to see how it holds up in the hot and humid summer months. EDIT: I am still loving this. Especially now that it comes in a larger size. I tried to switch over to Neutrogena Age Shield SPF45 for a month, but it caused major breakouts and red skin. As soon as I switched back to this, my face calmed down and cleared up. It is expensive, but I am willing to pay the price in order to wear sunscreen without break outs.

Cleansers -Olay - Total Effects Anti Aging Anti Blemish Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Carrigan19 1/20/2006 10:00:00 AM

I am not a fan of Olay products and I was very hesitant to try this cleanser. But I was having a terrible break out due to several issues, including a really bad cleanser. I looked for this at the store after reading the great reviews but after I read the ingredients I still wasn't to keen on trying this. However, I gave in since I have tried just about everything on the shelf already. I am so glad I bought this. I am on my second tube and love this stuff!!! My face is so smooth and soft and it has really hellped to clear up my skin. I am very acne prone but also suffer with dry patches and redness. Since using this cleanser, I don't need a moisturizer at night and I am actually getting coments on my skin. It removes makeup well, but I am always paranoid about my sunscreen not coming off so I do use jojoba oil to remove my "face" and eye makeup before washing. Edit: I like this, but after awhile, I just couldn't take the smell anymore. Plus my skin has become really sensitive, so I have switched to just jojoba oil and cetaphil.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Aquanil cleanser
rated 1 of 5
Carrigan19 1/3/2006 4:36:00 PM

I decided to give this a try since I have acne but also dry, sensitive skin. We moved to a colder climate last year and the winter is really killing my skin. I wear very little makeup (only a little powder) and use grapeseed oil to remove my sunscreen. I had high hopes for this, but I was very disappointed. My acne is even worse after 3 weeks of using it and I have gotten several very painful "under the skin" bumps, which I have not had in quite some time. My skin is a mess and my pores are so clogged! I've never had this many blackheads! I even use a baby wash cloth to help remove the cleanser, but still never felt clean. The first few days of using the cleanser, I noticed the corners of my mouth starting to flake. Then it started peeling badly, leaving behing red, raw, painful spots. Needless to say, I do not think my skin likes this stuff. I stopped using the Aqaunil, and within a week the corners of my mouth are almost healed and my acne is clearing up.

Cleansers -DHC - Cleansing Foam
rated 1 of 5
Carrigan19 9/7/2005 1:13:00 PM

I bought this based off of the good reviews and because I like many DHC products. This is possibly one of the worst cleansers I have every used. after using it for a week, I am SO broken out with painful acne. Before using this cleanser I only had a few very small pimples that were barely noticeable. It felt like it left a film on my face. The second ingredient is myristic acid and the fourth is stearic acid, so it is definitely not good for acne prone skin. Also, it has a twist off cap which is hard to get on and off when your hands are wet. The only good thing about this cleanser is even thought the tube is small, a tiny amount is more than enough, so it would last for a while.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Aqua Fusion Cream SPF 15
rated 2 of 5
Carrigan19 5/22/2005 5:47:00 PM

Well I had high hopes for this. I had to give up using Cetaphil spf15 since the weather is getting hot and it was leaving me looking like a grease ball. I decided to give this a shot. It has a strong but pleasant fragrance that disappears after a few minutes. It leaves a nice matte finish, almost too drying and would accentuate any dry places. At the end of the day my makeup would still look great and I didn't look all shiney! However, after 3 weeks of using it, it is causing me to break out BADLY. Also, I don't feel it is providing hardly any sun protection. I am not in the sun hardly at all, but yet since I switched to this, my face has tanned in several places and looks splotchy. I'm going back to cetaphil until I find something better.

Sunscreen -Clinique - Super City Block SPF 25
rated 2 of 5
Carrigan19 3/19/2005 8:30:00 PM

I really wanted to like this but I don't. I have tried it several times and everytime it causes me to break out. It feels really heavy on and I feel dirty the whole time I am wearing it. I guess my skin just doens't like physical sunscreens.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Gel Exfoliant
rated 3 of 5
Carrigan19 3/19/2005 8:26:00 PM

This has been the best product I have every tried. I always avoided using BHA products because they always seemed to make my acne worse. Now I know it's because the ones I was trying had irritating ingredients and/or the pH was too high. Since I started using this 4 months ago, my face is so soft and smooth. My acne is finally under control (I still get a few small bumps during the month but they go away quickly) and I have found I no longer need a moisturizer. I do wish it was a little cheaper, but after 4 months I still haven't run out and I use it twice a day. EDIT: I am no longer using this. I loved it for the first few months, but it seems my skin has changed and a lot of things I loved are now not workiing for me. My skin gets really red after using this and I am getting little bumps every where.

Toners -DHC - Mild Lotion
rated 3 of 5
Carrigan19 3/19/2005 8:22:00 PM

I really like this toner. I have tried many and always thought they were useless since I don't wear much makeup. This one is nice though since it doesn't contain alot of ingredients. It doesn't break me out and it gives me just enough moisture. I no longer need a moisturizer since I started using the mild lotion and a good BHA product to exfoliate. EDIT: I still think this is a good toner for most, but I have had to quit using it. My allergies are in over drive and I have developed a sensitivity to all plants. Because of this, my doctor does not want me using anything with aloe, cucumber, chamomile, and so on. This has cucumber, so it's not an option anymore.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - No Bump Rx
rated 1 of 5
Carrigan19 3/19/2005 8:18:00 PM

I have used this for years and it was always in a liquid form. It would sting a little but it really worked well on my bikini line, so i put up with the sting. HOWEVER, they must have changed the formula! The bottle I bought a few days ago is now in a gel form. I though "great! it will be easier and less messy to apply." Well, it was easier but now it SMELLS HORRIBLY!! It smells like a really bad men's after shave!! I thought maybe the smell would go away after awhile, but it didn't. The smell is so bad I am no longer able to use it.
