Eye Primer -Australis - Eyeshadow Primer

Love this primer. HG!! I don't have particularly oily eyelids, but they have a slight hood, so if I go too thick with my eyeliner, without a primer, it will definitely transfer on my upper eyelid by lunch. Pros: Works beautifully! This was the first eyeshadow primer I had bought and it worked great! I decided to venture out and try some other ones such as FOA, Inglot and Urban Decay Primer Potion. I would say that this works just as well as the UD, but at a fraction of the price! Sells in Australia for approx AUD$12.95, but there are always sales on it and you can get it for under $10. Cons: Packaging - although it looks cute, the packaging is crap! When i first started using it, i thought that the product ran out within a month. When I took of the little rubber seal around the top, there was still sooo much product left in the tube. I ended up getting another 2 months of primer out of it. If they changed the packaging to a squeeze tube, it would be the perfect product. Already on my second tube, and will repurchase once I finish

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

Love this blush! I'm new to the blush scene and have tried a number of different brands (NYX, Maybelline, Estee Lauder etc). Could never find the right colour as they were always either too bright or didn't show up at all! I had heard great reviews about this and was contemplating for ages whether I should purchase (its pretty price at AUD46 for just 1 blush). I ended up getting this as a gift, and only after a few days, I love it. Subtle enough for me to wear every day, and just brightens up my face. I would repurchase, however, don't think it would be necessary as there is so much product in the pan and I feel like it would last me forever!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear (old formula)

Love this foundation. I have been on the hunt for the perfect foundation (I have used mostly low end brands such as Maybelline and Revlon) and I came across this. I use the 3W1 in Tawny. Pros: Coverage is great! You don't need much product for a full coverage face. It takes me about 3-4 months to finish one bottle, and I use it daily. Doesn't make me break out. Great finish. Cons: Packaging - I had to purchase a MAC pump (which fits perfectly if you just trim the end of the stem), so I can get the perfect amount every time. Colours - I do wish that their range had some more yellow based colours, as their "yellow" range is still a little too pink for me, but I can correct this easily with some powder on top. At AUD50, it is on the pricier side of foundations but still affordable considering how long it lasts. Plus, there are always promotions on the Estee Lauder website with % off or gifts with purchase, so that's a plus. Will definitely repurchase!

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
Carollyn123 1/30/2013 7:30:00 PM
Totally overrated! Whilst I don't hate the product, and I do tend to use this often, once I finish the pot, I won't repurchase. Pros: easy to use. The formula is soft and creme, easy for my to do my winged eyeliner in one go. Staying power is OK. I do need to use a primer beforehand, otherwise it transfers on to my upperlid. Packaging is great. Cons: colour is terrible. I need to go over the line two or three times before it becomes "black". Terrible for waterline/tightline. Doesn't seem to want to stay put on those areas. Overall - its great for beginners as it is easy to work with. However, once I'm done, I'm going back to my Inglot gel liner

Eyeliner -Inglot - Eyeliner Gel

I think this product is underrated on the market. When I first bought the AMC gel liner in #77 matte black, it came down between this and the MAC blacktrack Fluidline. This was the first gel liner I had used so I wasn't too sure what I was meant to expect. Overall, I have been using this for 6 months now, and I love it (plus I still have half of the product left!). It has great pigmentation and perfect opaque black. Totally smudgeproof. I can go to the gym and it will still be in perfect condition by the end of my session. Dries quickly, which can be a con, because if you work a little slower (I do a wing as my everyday look, so if I stuff it up and try to fix it up, the formula is already dry and difficult to correct). Also, as it dries quickly, I find that by the time I move on to my second eye or am doing touch ups, the product dries on my brush and starts to tug on my eyelids, which makes it difficult to work with. Little difficult to remove, but I guess that is expected from a long-wearing eyeliner. Overall, it is a great product and would gladly repurchase. Only reason it loses a lippy is that it tugs a little
