I use the translucent over my Revlon Colorstay. Works just as well as my Clinique translucent, if not better.

I LOVE this bronzer. I wear it everyday. Once I started wearing it I suddenly started getting compliments and stares everyday! It gives that lovely finished look. My #1 favorite makeup product. Did I already mention that I love this bronzer?

Bought it for 0.99 at Walgreens. Love it. Awesome color. Great pigmentation. Only down side is it has already broken a little bit. No matter. Love, love it. I am a neutral girl and I can totally wear this everyday. Doesn't look that bright on caramel-toned skin; looks deep, rich. Great with lots of mascara.

Just bought it today. Love it. Perfect everyday color when you are on the go. I have caramel skin with neutral to golden undertones. I can't find a blush that I like and I just tried it on my cheeks and it looked good there too!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

I would buy again if money was no object. But realistically I will not be buying again any time soon! I like the jar b/c it's cute. I use a q-tip to scoop some out and a cotton ball to smooth on face. Works like Monistat anti-chafing gel, but a bit more matte and veveltly. I plan to squeeze the monistat gel in this jar when this runs out b/c I hate looking at that stupid monistat tube when putting on my makeup or having it for all to see in the plastic bag when going through security when flying. All you need to do is use a q-tip to get some out. Viola! I do like it a lot, but I'm on a budget, so will not be purchasing again until I am out of grad school! Update: was at Sephora and I swear this stuff seems the same at the Smashbox correcting primer.

I have oily, acne prone skin. I use this to take off Revlon Colorstay. Works great! I follow-up with a salicylic acid apricot scrub, alcohol-free toner, and an oil-free moisturizer. (If skin is acting up I milk of magnesia on the t-zone works wonders!) This routine has been working great for me.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

Why did I ever hold out on this product? I have oily skin and in the last month I have tried MAC, Loreal, Maybelline, Lancome, and finally settled with Clinique. Though, I am not happy with the Clinique. SO I finally tried the Colorstay for oily/combo skin today and it is awesome. I couldn't stopped looking at myself in the mirror. It PASSED the car mirror test with flying colors. (Usually I am either horrified or disappointed with my foundation when I look in the car mirror.) Also, it truly is nontransferable. It also controls oil well and I am not wearing a primer. OH WHY did I wait so long to try this foundation. It may be my HG. We shall see...

Liquid -Clinique - Even Better Makeup SPF 15

I searched high and low. From drugstore brands (Revlon, Maybelline) to department store brands (EL, MAC). This is the only brand and line that matched my color AND didn't oxidize. (Lancome may have had my color but it smelled funny to me.) It stays pretty well and has a nice finish. I am pretty satisfied with this product. Update: This product makes me look kind of cakey. Even when I used a different brush. I doesn't control oil at all. Nevertheless it didn't break me out and it didn't oxidize, so I am only taking away one lippee. I have discovered Revlon Colorstay and I am loving it so far.

Brows -New York Color - Browser in Brunette

Five lippies cause the product works great and is dirt cheap. I have dark, thick eyebrows and I lightly use this to fill in any spaces. I use it very, very lightly. I hate the fake brow look. (I like my eyebrows thick, but arched, like lots of Indian or Pakistani women wear theirs.) Works great at filling in and keeps my eyebrows in place!

Liquid -MAC - Pro Longwear Foundation
rated 4 of 5
Caramelatte 10/4/2010 12:05:00 AM

This product is great. I have OILY skin and it stayed put all day! Unfortunately, MAC doesn't carry a shade that works for me. Also, the shade I did try (NC45) oxidized terribly on me and I looked like an oompa loompa after a bit. Nevertheless, I was very impressed by the staying power of this product, so I give it four lippies.

Lip Liners -MAC - Lip Pencil - Chestnut
rated 5 of 5
Caramelatte 10/3/2010 11:57:00 PM

Great staple. Have used chestnut for years. BUT, don't limit yourselves ladies of color. You'd be surprised by the variety of lipliners that look great on you. These days I use chestnut with a light hand with a more nude color or gloss. (This is just day to day with the kids and whatnot.) When I'm going out, chestnut takes a back seat, unless I have really dramatic eyes and need a really nude lip. These days I am embracing my full lips and lots of color!

I had this eyeshadow on when I was at the MAC counter the other day and the MAC lady was so sure I was wearing MACs "woodwinked." Haha! Anyway, these shades are great. Have had them a while, but still playing around with them. Would buy again.

Miracle in a bottle. I have SUPER SUPER OILY SKIN. Mainly my t-zone. Nothing had worked to combat the oil and keep makeup in place. I have been embarrassed on so many occasions after catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror and seeing I am a big grease ball and my makeup has melted off. I happen to come across reviews of MoM right here on makeup alley and l literally hoped in my car at 10:30 at night and went to Walgreens to pick up a bottle of Phillips. Yes, I was THAT desperate. That evening made a MoM mask. The next day I began using it as a primer. It has been about five days and my makeup has stayed put and my face does not get oily. This stuff works miracles!!! I attended an outside rehearsal dinner and an outdoor wedding this weekend in TEXAS and my makeup was flawless when I came back to the hotel room!!!!!! If you have oily skin, go get you some MoM. Great as a oil controlling mask and/or a makeup primer. I would not recommend MoM for those who do not have oily skin. I think it would be quite drying. MoM dries up the oil. It even dried up some acne I had developed over the last month better than benzoyl peroxide of salicylic acid. MoM is my HG primer :-)
