Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

Thanks girls! Bought my shiseido mascara base from myer for AU$43, happy with the price, happier with how it enhances my lashes. I use this with maybelline full n soft. My lashes are approximately 5mm long, the 2 mascaras together make my lashes about 75% longer, thicker, without clumping. I don't find it to be difficult to remove. I shall buy this again, and again. And again.

Treatments (Eye) -Garnier - Fresh Bio - Contour Eye Gel

Nice moisturizing eye gel. I think it cost me around AU$13-AU$15. I've been using it for 5 months, but see no effect it has on my puffiness and dark circles. But I'd buy it again for its moisturizing property and the instant-freshness-feel this gives me.

Sunscreen -Lancome - UV Expert SPF 50
rated 3 of 5

Is it just me, or does Lancome UV Expert SPF50/PA+++ has exactly the same texture and feels exactly the same on the skin as L'Oreal UV Perfect SPF50/PA+++ (ALSO contains Mexoryl XL and SX, titanium dioxide, vit C derivative, vit E, etc)? Both available in 30mL tube. I received Lancome UV Expert SPF50 as a gwp. Feels nice and light, but gives my face a greasy-looking shine. And the prize of this product is too much. I'm sticking with L'Oreal UV Perfect, albeit I don't like the shininess it gives, I like its sun-protection property. And it's much much more affordable than Lancome UV Expert (I stock up L'Oreal UVP from Jakarta for about US$6/30mL tube, as they have their own company that manufactures L'Oreal products).

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 5 of 5

I was having lunch with a couple of girlfriends one day, then the next thing I knew they started talking about mascaras, then they looked @ me and said, "girl, you're so lucky to have beautiful natural lashes" (what they didn't know was that I was coated with my beloved Full 'N Soft). I replied them with a smile. Until now, they still believe that I was born with beautiful lashes... or maybe it's Maybelline?

Blush -Cover Girl - Instant Cheekbones Blush
rated 5 of 5

I have this in Peach Perfection and Sophisticated Sable. Peach Perfection gives me natural blush with healthy glow (I swipe the brush all over 3). And Sophisticated Sable is great on days I feel like getting a bit of a bronze! I can brush this over some parts of my face, neck, and all over my shoulders to get some healthy glow. They are dirt cheap! One thing I dislike is the brush. I use my own fluffy brush. I SHALL keep repurchasing these two.

Concealers -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 2
rated 5 of 5

YSL-TE pros: conceals dark circles like magic, sort of adds feminity to the appearance of my eyes; can't go wrong when applied with the brush; gorgeous packaging. YSL-TE cons: 2.5mL for AU$74, ridiculous price for such little quantity; the brush needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent MOLD growth.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Longueur Intense

Got this as a gwp. Adds 25% to my lashes original length, it thickens well too. Easily smudges on my lower eyelids (after about 5 hrs); yet, difficult to wash it off my lashes.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Q10 Night Cream
rated 4 of 5
CaptainBrannigan 9/20/2004 4:43:00 AM

I started using this cream 3 months ago in mid-winter to replace my OoO Total Effects. Now the tone of my skin looks so even, I don't need to apply foundation when I go out anymore. Based on my experience, this night cream gives results that OoO Total Effects promises to deliver (but dusn't); and costs half as much. On my combo skin, Nivea Q10 night cream works perfectly in winter, but a bit too heavy for spring and summer (I think this cream has caused bumps on my face, now that we're facing spring in australia, hence I've taken off 1 lipstick). As for the 'anti wrinkle' claim, I DO see less lines when I smile now, but that may've been caused by the shine/greasiness from the cream which camouflages the lines (?). Overall, great night cream, great price.

Concealers -The Body Shop - Lightening Touch
rated 5 of 5

I purchased this in pink for my asian skin tone. When applied onto my dark circles, I find: TBS-LT pros: good coverage; very natural looking; affordable (7mL for AU$24). TBS-LT cons: needs to be 'secured' under loose powder; dodgy packaging; the wand is useless. YSL-TE pros: not only it gives me natural look, it brightens the dark circles even more (creates even fresher look); can't go wrong when applied with the brush; packaging's lovely. YSL-TE cons: 2.5mL for AU$74 (THREE times the price of LT, with less than half the quantity of LT) ; the brush needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent MOLD forming.
