Foundations -Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfecting Makeup
Caligallola 3/18/2013 2:11:00 AM
I have been through a lot of foundations trying to find the perfect one since Clinique discontinued their Superfit foundation. So far this has been the best. I do have enlarged pores, combination oily skin, some uneveness & fine lines starting. This gives a flawless look, some what of a matte finish, moderate coverage doesnt feel heavy & doesn't settle into my lines or pores. At the end of the day my face still looks fresh. A little product does go a long way.
I love this brush. I use it to deposit color on crease/ above crease and blending. It gives a beautiful soft blended look with not much effort. I wash it daily and have not experiened any shedding and it keeps its shape. This brush is one of my musts for my eyeshadow application. I know its been compared to MACs 217 I actually have owned it in the past but took it back because I didnt care for it. This brush I love.

I use this brush daily to deposit darker color in my crease and outer V. It's the perfect size then I blend the color with Sigmas E35. It has soft bristles and with stands my daily washing with no loss of hairs and keeps its shape. It's must have for me for my eyeshadow application.
Bronzers -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun!

I was looking for a good contour shade to define my cheeks. The make up artist applied this to my cheeks and I impulsively bought it. Throughout the day whenever I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror I was shocked on how orange and unnatural it looked. Not the look I was going for. I didn't even try to make this work it just wasn't my shade. I returned it. NW25 for ref.
Shocked of the low rating! I got this as a sample with a purchase and I am going to buy the regular size. We all have different lashes and some things just work better than others. This definitely worked for me. There's something about the brush that grabs and coats each lash making them darker, longer and defined. When I apply my mascara I only redip the brush no more than twice per eye. I can see why there are complaints of this not drying. It does seem "wet" but, not in a bad way. Just makes lashes look defined and drys no different than other mascara doesnt smudge or flake and the brush coats my bottom lashes perfectly without clumping.
Moisturizers -Avon - Anew Rejuvenate Day Revitalizing Cream SPF 25

My skin is oily with occasional breakouts, sun freckles, somewhat sensitive. This cream feels like velvet as it glides on my skin. It doesnt feel heavy or make my face anymore oily and I love that it has spf 25. I am not good at putting sunscreen on and its nice to have the spf 25. I used to use Oil of Olay previously for years and that only has spf 15. It doesn't cause breakouts and Avon has great deals often on their creams I got this cream for day and the night for a great price.
I was horrified when I went to Clinique to purchase my superfit foundation that I've worn for years and found out it was discontinued. The SA gave me generous samples of the Even Better and Acne Solutions to try. My skin is combo more on the oily side, uneven redness, sun freckles, old acne scars (I'm mid 30's now so they are like teen & early 20's old). I switched between the two samples and decided to go with Acne Solutions since it was mattifying and really kept my face oil free throughout the day and I didn't have to use powder. After two weeks of using it staright my skin on my cheeks was slighty redder, burned after washing and flakey/peeling patches with little red bumps. Then it occured to me that it was the foundation it contains salycic acid for acne treatment. Not so great if you don't have acne. I hate to be the one to take makeup back after using it but, I couldn't justify keeping it. When I took it back the sales associate said she would never have recommended Acne Soultions for me since I don't have a problem with acne but suggested Superbalanced she said that has the mattify that I need. So I will try that one and give me review later.
This is my absolute favorite! I wear alot of eye makeup so I want to go a little sutle on my lips and this does it. It's a nude like sheer gloss with beautiful glitter/fine sparke (that you cannot feel) it sparkles so nice when the light hits your lips. So far from boring. I wear it alone on my lips. I'm on my second tube and normally I'm not loyal when it comes to lip color. NW25 for ref.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Overrich - Heritage Rouge Pigment
Caligallola 1/9/2012 9:38:00 PM
This is one of my favorite MAC pigments. The color is just a beautiful rich burgundy like color extremely pigmented. No fallout, glides on nicely, looks great when applied wet/damp. My favorite look for this is goldmine on inner lid, heritage rouge on outer half of lid blended up into crease with a little carbon blended into otter v. Just looks stunning. NW25 for ref.
I was lucky enough to try this before splurging on it. My Sister didn't like it and she let me try it out. I tried it and didn't like it. My skin is oily, some red and uneveness, flakey on chin area. I felt that it made my skin look more red and irritated so I stopped. After a few months I decided to give it another try and I loved it. I guess I was pressing down instead of letting it glide over my skin so that was the issue. The constant flakey skin on my chin is gone, my skin is more smooth and like others stated it just makes my face feel "clean" when I don't use it washing my face just isn't the same. (my sister decided to give it another try and she now loves it so I actually went out and bought one.) I took one lippie off for the high cost of it and the high cost of the replacement brush heads ($25.00 for one, $40.00 for two). I didn't care for the clarisonic face wash that came with it. It felt to heavy on my skin.
I really love this. I have been wearing it nearly everyday since I got it. I love trying new color combos. I put it on my lid up to crease and layer shadow or pigments on top for different looks. It brings out the color in a lot of shadows/pigments. I wore it the other day with Vex on lid and Dark Soul blended up into crease with Knight Divine (nice smokey eye). Green Brown pigment, Blue Brown pigment, Old Gold, Club etc. like I said I love trying new looks and this Paint Pot is very versatile.
I have this in Shimmied Up and I love it. I am a MAC NW25 and was having a hard time choosing between the three compacts (Amped Up, Prettied Up & Shimmied Up). I read about Prettied Up having a lot of shimmer so I went w/ the Shimmied Up and love it. I swipe my brush over all the colors and love how the different colors blend nicely together. It puts a nice glow on the apples of my cheeks. It comes with a brush but, I use my own. It lasts all day. This was a great Mark find for a affordable price.
Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head - Foxy Curls Contour Cream
Caligallola 9/23/2011 10:15:00 PM
I love this! I have curly/wavy hair that frizzes if I don't use a styling product. After being tired of "crunchy" hair from using hair gel I came across this. I rub a small amount in my hands and apply to my towel dried hair and let it dry naturally. I am left with nice soft curls/waves and no frizz. i just hope it doesn't get discontinued like everything else I like. :(
This was just an ok cleanser that didn't make my skin feel tight after washing. No breakouts, didn't remove mascara (non waterproof) like it states on back label. Nothing special especially being $15.00 for 1.7 oz. I am not sensitive to scents but, didn't find this great smelling. This cleanser was just ok. I take my make off with a makeup remover wipe prior to cleansing my face and didn't like to still use eye make up remover to remove the mascara left on my skin after I washed my face with this. I will not repurchase for reasons stated above I think there are better cleansers out there for that price.
This is on my top five of favorite pigments. The reasons being- it is very pigmented, glides on nicely, no fallout, nice vibrant color that compliments my NW25 skin. The color to me looks like a darkend penny. I wear it with Woodwinked inner lid, Satin Taupe on lid and Copperbeam in crease. I love bronzes/coppers and this one is my favorite.
