Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter

I get compliments every single time I've worn this. People ask in amazement, "How did you do that?". I was very skeptical of this polish, but I'm a sucker for gimmicks and OPI. I finally tracked down a bottle of this and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's practically foolproof. A thin layer gives you more black coverage with thinner cracks and a thick layer gives you larger cracks with less black coverage. I think it looks best over very pale, cream colors because I like the contrast. This also makes your nail polish wear like iron. I hit it with a top coat because it applies matte.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - ColorIcon Palette in Lust [DISCONTINUED]

I must thank everyone on MakupAlley who wrote reviews for this. Yes, I fell victim to the hype, but it was SO worth it. I have brown eyes and olive toned skin, so this palette was perfect. I am always cautious when purchasing matte eye shadows, but I was especially leery buying DS mattes. Alas, I put my faith in all of the rave reviews and I must say I am glad I did. I get so many compliments when I wear this palette. All of the shades have great pigmentation and color payoff. I do find the mattes harder to blend, but what mattes aren't? This is a nice step away from neutrals, but yet it can still be applied in a subdued enough way to wear to work. On the other hand, you could also amp it up for a fun night out plum smokey eye. Definitely worth my 5 bucks. Thanks again, MUA!

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Powder Brush

This is an excellent DS brush! The head of it is nicely shaped and the bristles are very, very soft. I have washed mine many times and I don't think it's shed a single hair and has retained its shape. The hairs are nice and dense, not flimsy or floppy at all. It picks up a nice amount of product. I have many EcoTools brushes and I like them all, but this one is excellent.<3 Vegan products, too.

Lip Treatments -SoftLips - Cherry Lip Protectant/Sunscreen SPF20

I caved and bought these after my friend raved about them. They are disgusting. I have nothing good to say. The formula is very thin and greasy and doesn't have any moisturizing properties whatsoever. In fact, it leaves my lips feeling drier than what I started with. It's gone from my lips in less than an hour. The smell and taste reminds me of artificial cherry syrup and wax. And, worst of all, the skinny packaging isn't very conducive to applying this to the lips, unless of course you have less than pencil thin lips.

Liquid -Rimmel - Stay Matte + SkinPure Complex Clarifying Matte Foundation

Not impressed with this product at all. I bought it after seeing some YouTube videos featuring it, and I love a matte look. This is not matte at all! I found the formula to be very sticky and thick, and didn't blend worth a darn. It feels greasy and heavy on. It actually irritated and broke out my normal, non-acne prone skin.

Tinted Moisturizer -Aveeno - positively radiant

I have been using this product since September and I love the results. After I wash my face and examine my naked face I notice that it has evened out my skin tone and texture quite a bit. I appreciate that it has SPF in it but doesn't have that sun screen smell to it. It has a hint of shimmer to it, but nothing obnoxious. It has enough tint to it that it actually covers like a light/medium foundation, so I have no problems wearing this by itself even on my skin's worst days.

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer

I got this as part of a kit that was on clearance after Christmas at Wal-Mart. Every primer I've ever tried has been greasy and breaks me out. I was skeptical of this one because the texture of it is really strange. It almost feels rubbery when you rub it between your fingers. But, no pain, no gain, so I gave it a shot. Aside from the really strange texture of this, which doesn't change even after you apply it to your face, there were no ill effects after using this. It does make my skin smooth and my foundation glide on easier. I got used to the feeling of it on my skin.

Gels/Soaps -Olay - Quench Body Wash

I love the scent of all the Quench products. They even got it right with the self tanning cream. Anyway . . . this has a nice amount of lather. It really does moisturize without a greasy feeling after your shower as with some moisturizing body washes do. Doesn't irritate my sensitive at all. Pairs up well with the entire Quench line. Haven't used it in the humid summer yet, but I doubt it will effect my opinion.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Cuticle Remover Gel

I get dry, cracked hands in the winter and that makes pushing back cuticles very difficult. This product is very gentle and doesn't burn or sting whatsoever. The tube has lasted me over a year and I use it at least once a month.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Parlux - Jessica Simpson Fancy

This is one of my favorite scents. I love the cinnamon/vanilla combo. I usually don't gravitate towards celebrity endorsed perfumes because they're usually garbage, but I couldn't resist this one. My body chemistry works really well with vanilla notes.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Midnight Cowboy Rides Again

We all know about UD and their super glittery eye shadows. This is definitely one of them. So, if you aren't in the market for a glittery eye shadow, stay away from this one. The color is nice and neutral, and I go to this when I'm feeling a neutral look. One of the drier UD shadows, but never chalky.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - BOMBSHELL

Bought this around Black Friday. Very nice, fresh scent. It's not very overpowering, but people do realize you are wearing a perfume. I get a lot of compliments on it. I work at a hospital so I can't wear anything too offensive or heavy, and this fits the bill.

Run away. Run far, far away. I saw this while strolling through Wal-Mart and I was intrigued. Why did I let my curiosity get the best of me? Thees little fibers went everywhere but my lashes, including in my eyes and all over my cheeks. My eyes started to water, and let's just say I didn't do a bang up job with the rest of the application due to the blurry vision. Very adorable effect . . . not.

Have used many tubes of this. Love the flavor/smell and that it freshens your breath. Give you a clear glossy finish on the lips. Very moisturizing. I have one of these on my bedside table and I like to put it on before bed.
