Conditioner -John Frieda - Miraculous Recovery deep conditioner
Bunny111 4/1/2013 2:17:00 PM
I have very thick (but very silky.. weird i know) layered dyed blonde hair. It used to be waist length, but i went through a rough time and started snapping the ends off the layers and pulling it (NEVER DO THIS). Lets just say that ruined it. I sorted my life out, and I don't pull the dead ends off now but my hair needs some TLC to get back to where it was! It's growing slowly but i've damaged it by pulling it so much :( The top is greasy after 1 day and the ends are curly, crispy and frizzy.. (how sexy!) I've tried all sorts of hair masks- £1 boots own ones (the coconut and almond one is really good actually). Really expensive £30 shu umuera ones (nothing to write home about at £30) and this is honestly my favourite. My hair is now getting longer and is so sleek and silky!!! I use this at a weekend when I have time to spare- I shampoo my hair twice, wring it out and get it almost dry, then i slather this stuff on- Its so rich i don'r need a lot and i do have thick and rather long hair.. Then i shove a shower cap on it and go to watch a few episodes of bones... after 2 hours I wash it out and my hair is completely reformed!! I picked this up on 3 for 2 at boots, and using it with the over night repair serum in the same brand, and redkens anti snap leave in treatment my hair is growing like no ones business. I highly recommend for thirsty hair!

Moisturizers -Garnier - Ultra-Lift 2-in-1 Wrinkle Reducer Serum+Moisturizer
Bunny111 10/8/2012 3:12:00 PM
I like this, not sure how well it does at anti- aging as i am using it as a preventitive but i love the moisturising effect. I've had this 6 months now and it's still going so i'll give it that! Got it on a 2 for £10 offer at boots so can't complain... i really like it, it doesn't leave too much of a harsh residue

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
Bunny111 10/8/2012 3:06:00 PM
I love this! I was in the school girl habit of spraying hairspray on my face to make my make up stay on all day (healthcare professionals would not reccomend) but i find this worked just as well, if not better! I have a little bit of wear and tear at the end of the day but i am prone to touching my eye make up when i look in a mirror and i have contacts so there is that added moisture factor for my make up to deal with. This has helped with the oilyness of my skin for sure. Love it!

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
Bunny111 10/8/2012 3:03:00 PM
Really shocked so many people like this, my skin is combination verging on oily and this just slid off... It looked ok for the first hour then it would just be gone, i found it made my face shiny, i broke out (and i don't have skin that is prone to break outs thank goodness, despite it's oilyness!) I really wanted to to like it, because i like the pump, it smelled good, it looked good in the bottle, but for me it was a complete nono. i used it with UD's de-slick make up spray and it still didn't stay on.. Personally i will not be buying again, although to be fair i have a friend with very dry skin who purchased this and loved it. Back to Estee lauders DW for me!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
Bunny111 10/8/2012 2:44:00 PM
This is my favourite foundation of all time, the only reasons i haven't given it 5 lippies is because 1. It has no pump and thats really annoying, especially when you're getting to the bottom of the (very dinky) bottle and 2. It is now £30.00 in the U.K. which, although it lasts for about 3/4 months seems bloody extortionate to me. Anyway, reasons why i love this.I have a very pale, pallid uneven skin tone, (i got colour matched by the S.A. and i wear Ecru) and when i wear this it evens everything out completley and i look like i have the face of a china doll (actual quote from the mother there.. impressive). It covers everything, shadows under eyes, spots, dark patches. LOVE IT. If you like a lighter look it's probably not for you, although in all of my photos i wear it and i don't think i look TOO made up!! The only time i didn't use it as my first choice was when i was on holiday in the states as i found it far, far too heavy for the florida sun. No matter how expensive this gets i think i'll keep buying it, it just makes my skin look so flawless. I adore it!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
Bunny111 10/8/2012 2:31:00 PM
Oh My God No. I bought this because i was looking for a new mascara and it was on a stand with a pretty display around it so i got sucked into the 'oooh this must be good because the L'oreal model wearing it looks amazing'. Not true. It was so, so expensive. for £8 more you can buy an Estee Lauder or Benefit mascara (these are much, much better) and all it seemed to do was darken my lashes, not lengthen, separate or thicken them. I curled my eyelashes, put one coat on and it looked like someone had just thrown some black stuff over the ends of my lashes, the curl didn't stay, so i put another 2 coats on hoping it would thicken them up and separate them but they just ended up in two weak droopy clumps which is so not what you want from a £10 mascara. The brush is all slim and rediculous and no. Just no. It's a mascara for those lucky people with long, thick, pale lashes and it does add a dark colour but that's it really, if you want volume or length forget this! Not A Happy Girlie with this one!

Mascara -Bourjois - Volume Clubbing
Bunny111 10/8/2012 2:17:00 PM
I bought the new, Black Jack version of this mascara, that has little specks of gold in it, apparently to bring out the sparkle of your eyes. I was sceptical at first because i find Bourjois hit and miss, but i have used their clubbing mascara before and liked it so i thought i'd try this one, and i LOVE it. I usually use Benefit's they're real! And that is my favourite mascara and if i was not an unemployed poor ex student i would have purchased that again, I find high street make up brands like Rimmel (i hate every mascara of theirs that i have ever tried) and Max factor (Million lashes excess? Crap). Alas i don't have £20 to burn and i think this is the poor womans best bet. I have rather thin lashes and i found that this thickened them up nicely, and more importantly for me since my lashes are very straight, it set the curl from my eyelash curlers. The mascara stays on all day and well into the night and it lengthens and volumises really well for a cheaper brand of mascara, i didn't sweat it off and i have found it really good when out in clubs. My only critisism would be that it is very hard to remove, but you can't have it all! I was so impressed with it that i have just bought 2 more for £11, as in Boots at the moment (UK ladies) Bourjois is on 2 for £11 and this is fantastic value since Benefit's they're real! Is a whopping £18 for one tube. As for the gold specks, i didn't notice it to be honest, but perhaps it does make the eyes pop a bit more. I was certainly impressed with the overall effect! All in all a perfect, well priced, good quality mascara, I like a dramatic eye so i layer lots and lots of this on to give me lovely fat lashes. Well done Bourjois, i'm impressed!!

Palettes -Too Faced - Natural at Night
Bunny111 8/20/2012 6:41:00 AM
Usually i favour UD for my eyeshadow palettes but i couldn't resist picking this up. The colours it comes with reminds me of UD's Naked Palette, but it is perhaps more user friendly for beginners. The 9 colours are set out in different 'looks' with the highlighter first, the crease shadow second and the finishing (idk what you call it i'm self taught ha) shadow last, which is a nice idea i think if you are stuck for ideas or don't tend to get creative. The palette also comes with little cards that advise you on how to create the looks which again is a nice touch for beginners, but it's also fun to play around with them all and mix them up a bit when you have time, it has a nice collection of light and dark, matt and shimmer shades. Not as much choice as UD and i don't find the looks you can create as dramatic but perfect to shove in your bag for a weekend away, and the colours are perfect for daytime too if you tone down the shimmer, I find the colours blend reasonably well and stay on for a decent length of time, all in all a good middle of the road every day palette, and definitely one that is good for someone who doesn't quite know how to mix and match colours yet.

Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup
Bunny111 8/20/2012 6:35:00 AM
I Bought this while on holiday- i was visiting the states & my normal foundation had become much too pale. I usually uses Estee Lauder Double Wear and it's rather expensive and a bit too heavy for the florida sun so i popped into walgreens (which i think is like american Boots) & picked this up. Now, i don't have bad skin but i do have oily skin ( i don't know how that works either) and i had noticed a few sneaky spots cropping up due to the heat and humidity my English skin wasn't used to and found that this stayed on really well and did seem to help with the spots. The coverage is medium, and the colour i picked went well with my tan. I don't think the price was bad at all (especially when you convert it to £'s) and since getting home to (somewhat cooler) England i've noticed it stays on perfectly. I'll definitely be using it while i have a tan and if we had it in England i would buy it as a cheap alternative to my normal foundation if i had to tighten the purse strings. Bring it out in the UK please Neutrogena Perfect Summer Foundation!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette
Bunny111 8/17/2012 4:29:00 PM
Ok so I have the Naked Pallette and i love it, but i do tend to use more of the colours than others, (personally after playing around with some of the colours in the original palette i was a fan of every colour apart from the middles ones like toasted and hustle- the rest of the colours i was a fan of of,, i just felt that those two didn't really 'fit' or look right with the others, but thats just me. Moving on to this palette, i bought it in NYC as a holiday treat after lusting after it for a while- i had a play around with the colour swatches they had out in sephora and in my opinion all of these colours seem to 'go together' much better. As for the quality, i'm a big believer in you get what you pay for with make up and these eyeshadows although they are expensive they blend wonderfully without compromising the colour, and they hold their pigment admirably (English girl running round NYC in August and at the end of the day my eyeshadow had stayed on.. thats impressive) I think the packaging is perfect, especially if you are taking it on hols with you, its easy to just chuck in your case and i think the simple design is perfect. Also, unlike other UD palettes the case is hard which protects the mirror. The lipgloss you get with this palette is awesome too & i like that they gave you a crease and shadow brush this time. Price wise, although it isn't cheap the eyeshadows last for ages, i've had Naked for a year now and it looks like i've hardly touched it, and i'm sure Naked2 will be the same Overall a big thumbs up for UD on this one!

Eyeliner -Too Faced - Lava Gloss Eyeliner
Bunny111 4/29/2012 3:15:00 PM
ERGH... I have combination skin, so its not overtly oily but this product made my eyes look like an oil spill about an hour after applying.. it goes on very smoothly and looks lovely for the first 5 mins but after that.. it transferred horribly, didn't stick to my waterline and made my whole eye area very greasy.. the only thing i liked about it was that it went on without tugging my eyes.. but since you are basically coating them in cooking oil coloured black thats not surprising! I also had to sharpen it after every use or every other use at a push, so it used up quickly, which for £13 is not brilliant.... I LOVE big, dramatic khol eyes and this was just hideous.. made me look like i had no eyeliner on and a lot of grey cream eyeshadow 0_o no go on this one TwoFaced.. going to try their 'perfect eyes' one next to see if that lasts!

Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser
Bunny111 4/28/2012 12:05:00 PM
I LOVE this so, SO much. Got a free sample of this at christmas and it's lasted me a few months.. it can be quite drying but if you use a night cream and a day moisturiser it shouldn't make a difference... my skin is combination skin but tends to get dry on the forehead and i find if i don't use a moisturiser at all this does dry my skin out... but the way it removes dirt and oil is worth it!!! Its not cheap but it does last for AGEEEEESSS... My sample size lasted 4 months and that was free!! People have also commented on how good my skin looks.. never going back!!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
Bunny111 4/1/2012 3:58:00 PM
Love the colours that come with this- so blendable and a very good selection, just wish it came with a couple of mini blending brushes for the price. Overall i find the eyeshadows have good staying power and i've had this ages and created both day and night time looks with it and it still shows no signs of running out.. can't wait till i have a legitimate reason/ excuse to buy Naked2!! Such fun to play with :) I love how subtle the colours are as i find UD can be a bit too out there for me usually.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
Bunny111 4/1/2012 3:53:00 PM
I LOVE this mascara!!! I have rather short eyelashes and i love the doe eyed full lash look- my only problem is the price, i think £18 is a little steep for a mascara but it's worth it! I use an eyelash curler first and then 2 coats of this in the fay (3 at night) and it makes my lashes look fabulous- people have asked if i'm wearing falsies. Well done Benefit!
