For me this is just lovely so far...Like many women I am CONSTATNTLY on the prowl for my HG foundation...For years I have been claiming Teint Innocence (liquid and compact) by Chanel as my HG, but there is some issues with it...I live in Florida, so I need a foundation that can hold up in the heat and humidity, while still looking and feeling natural...I have tested nearly every foundation that claims to be lightweight, second skin, or sheer. Many of them look good for a short period of time then end up disappearing off my face within a few hours, taking away the fresh look. This looks good through my work day and gives a nice dewy-ish glow. I like that this is not flat or matte at all....I would not call this sheer, more light to medium, but it manages to stay natural on me....I am an NC20-25 and was matched to Buff 6w...I thought the MA had made a mistake, as I have NEVER been past a level 4 in most foundations, but the shade is just perfect and melts right into my skin and most importantly does not leave the dreaded make up line... :) I can not stand the look of heavy, thick, or mask like foundation. I like a natural, my skin but better look, and I feel this allows me to achieve that...I love the pump, the bottle looks very classy, and is considerably less than my Chanel. I highly recommend this and will update with any new findings, but so far I am loving this...

Wow......I LOVE this color...I love all things neutral and yet I typically don't go for brown tones on my nails, but this is simply stunning! It's a taupey-mocha color on me, with a subtle golden/bronze shimmer and OMG when it hits the light, I just can't stop starring at it. Gorgeous fall color that will go with so many colors. I like that it's different than ANY color I have, and it looks very chic, imo...I am usually a frenchy nail girl in the spring/summer and burgandy-red or plum in the fall/winter, so this is a great way to add an interesting color to change it up a bit...I added Poshe' fast drying top coat on top and it shines like crazy, however I may try it next with ChG matte top coat to compare......

I am on a mega polish kick lately...I think I am SO ready for fall to come visit us here in sunny Florida, that changing up my polish seems to be the only connection to fall...It's still in the 90's by me, lol... ...The Swiss collection has caught my eye again and again at various stores and today I had to bite the bullet at Ulta when I saw the bye2 get 1 free deal...This color is simply AWESOME ladies!!!!!!!!!! It's different, it's not your typical silver, mixed with glitter/shimmer like every other line I have been looking at. I agree with the reviewer that compared this shade to pencil lead, as I think that's quite accurate. Smokey charcoal may be a another way I'd describe it. I initially dabbed jitterbug by China glaze on a piece of paper, then put this beside it and I knew I had to have this...IMO, this shade is deeper and more interesting. As I mentioned earlier, I have seen many variations of silver, so I wanted soemthing along those lines but a little unique and richer, this won me over hands down!

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Totally Toffee

I am shocked that I am reviewing a "drug store lipstick", lol but this is pretty darn good stuff ladies. First of all lets's talk price, I got my tube for $4.50 and it seriously reminds me of the Christian Dior Addict range I normally buy, both, packaging, and product. The big difference is CD is roughly $30.00 a tube, however a tad more moisturizing. Most lipsticks only accentuate my issue with dry lips, so I have pretty much stuck to Chanel and CD lipstick for this reason. I smeared this on expecting to rub it off in no time due to flakey lips, but much to my surprise my lipstick still looks creamy. As far as the color, I wanted it to look exactly like the lovely pictures posted above, (simply stunning on them) however on me shows up a fleshy-pinky-brown, which is still a nice color on my NC20 skin tone, just a hint different than I hoped. I am overall really impressed with this line and do plan on trying out a few more colors. There were so many beautiful colors to choose from and a price that can't be beat!

Great product...Does what it's suposed to do, goes on thin, dries quickly, and most importantly has kept my mani looking professional for days now. The price is great for such a professional product. Glad to see it's formaldehyed, toulene, and phtalate free...I used this along with OUT THE DOOR topcoat over my polish and really happy with the results. There is no reason for me to look for another...

I am utterly disgusted at Sephora for deleteing my very professional, yet very honest review for BARE ESCENTUALS MMU...I saw my review posted and the very first day several customers had tagged my review as helpful...I was merely sharing my personal experice about the breakouts that the make up caused, in hopes others will not have to go through what I went through. I wanted to give people a heads up to the ever so famous Bismuth inclusion that many people can not tolerate. I wrote nothing vulgar or bashing in a any way and and can not believe they deleted my review...This renders their reviews pointless and useless, as NOT EVERYONE is going to have glowing comments about a product. I can't believe a businees that recieves BILLIONS of dollars annually can't afford to have a few honest comments every now and again...Ridiculous.... Iwish their was a -0 rating, that's what they deserve... I'd also like to add that I am only speaking in regards to the reviews and ratings on Sephora, not my shopping or purchasing experiences....I give credit where credit is do, and like others on here I enjoy spending a fortune at Sephora as they carry wonderful products and the customer ser is overall very gracious.....

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I have been on a polish kick lately with the change of seasons coming soon. I always seem drawn to "reds", and can't seem to have enough of them...I have an eye for any red with a twist, ie. mixed with shimmer, blended with colors, or just a unique red......This was probably the first polish that caught my eye out of the entire collection. It stood out to me like a lttle jewel..The other MUA folks have pretty much summed up anything I could say about it, but I will say it again...Ladies, it's a GOREGOUS red. It will look stunning on a pedi and also lovely for mani's..I wish the winter would hurry and get here just so I can wear this....I am NC20-25 but truly think most skin tones can pull this off...Also those of you who like your "reds" Sugar Sugar" by Sinful is a gorgeous red with shimmer, not glitter, also quite lovely...I agree with the reviewer that said get it while you can because once the holidays hit this will be harder to get your hands on... :)

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Concrete

This is a shade I plan to wear a lot this fall.. I am on a polish kick lately and have been hunting high and low for a greige that truly works with my NC20-25 skintone (I lean more yellow on the neutral scale). Many of them just clash or look to blah, but not this. I think it's the ever so slght mauvey-purpley tones mixed with the lovely grey/taupe that make it work for me. I find the shade quite classy and chic...The texture is cream based with no shimmer or glitter. I needed 2 coats and a good top coat (using OUT THE DOOR currently) to get the consistency and shine I desire. I snapped this up a Walgreens and may go back and get the Mystic Lilac shade also in this collection. This color sorta reminds me of Metro Chic by OPI but only 1/2 the price... If you can get your hands on it grab it and go, I hear people are having trouble finding it and I can see why... a side note....I think this is the same color as commander in chic, also by SH , just a different formula, maybe???

Polishes -Revlon - Slipper
rated 5 of 5

I purchased this along with it's counterpart, Ruby (a really pretty red polish) for the up and coming fall/winter. This is a clear polish, filled with various sizes of glitter particles mixed in, and the idea is to swipe it over one of the matching colored polishes. I just couldn't resist this, as it just says HOLIDAY fun... I think the glitter on my fingers will be too much for my personal tatste, but I can just picture this layered over the Ruby color on my toes for an adorable pedi while wearing peep toe heels...I hadn't purchased a Revlon polish in years, but this one couldn't be passed up! I usually do not go for glitter, I prefer your basic red/taupe/brown-burgandy/plum/French etc...but I just love this for a little pizazz... Update: One more note of interest: Most of the glitter shows up more as a shimmer. The larger pieces come out almost like little rhinestones//diamonds and give nails a unique little touch

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Design in Love It
rated 3 of 5

I just received this in a GWP from Macys and am very happy with the creamy texture of this lippy. At first I liked the color a lot, but the more I see it on myself I think it's better suited for someone with pinker undertones. I am an NC 20-25 (more warm or light olive on the neutral scale) and this is just too cool for my liking. I'd prefer it more if it had a browner undertone. I will continue to put CD addict lipgloss over it to neutralize the color and add dimension. I find this nicely hydrating and a pretty cool toned pink on it's own, just not my fav color on me :)

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole Fresh Wear
rated 5 of 5
Brunettegirl 7/26/2010 1:24:00 PM

Edit: Still loving this...I switch back and fourth between this and Chanel Teint Innocence and think this has become my summer foundation...I think due to humidity control, (slight matte texture) I will prefer a slightly more dewy foundation in the winter and will use Chanel during those mos. I have been testing this product out for several weeks now and agree with everything the reviewer below me said...I too live in Florida and it is July..............can we just say HUMIDITY,SWEAT and horrible HEAT this time of the year...That being said I was really excited to try out this product...I have tested and tried hundreds of lightweight/natural foundations with different fomulas, brands, textures, etc, ...What typically happens with the lighter weight fomulas is they look great for about the first 2 hours, then take on an appearance that I have just ran a marathon and start looking so greasy...This however did not do that and I am simply loving this...Would I say it last 18 hours, not really, but it seems to last a good 10 for me and still looks quite decent after a full workday or outdoor activities. I have normal to slighty combo skin and like a very natural foundation that allows my skin to show through and camoflauge any minor imperfections...I do not like thick, cakey, or heavy make up of any kind and was skeptical when I heard this was considered matte (tends to settle in fine lines and make me look tired), but this is just lovely...I would say this would be a natural matte, or silky matte maybe? If you are like me and just want to even out skintone, add some radiance to skin, and HATE the sight of heavy thick foundation, then I advise you try this...I am NC 20-25 and was matched to Ivory, N4....

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste in Rose Petale 99
rated 5 of 5

Ladies...I find myself starring at how gorgeous this blush is in it's sleek black container!!!! I recently reviewed Tweed pink blush by Chanel in hopes that maybe I had found my new perfect pink blush, but after getting a 2nd opinion I knew it wasn't the right blush afterall for my NC20 skintone...I went back to Chanel to exchange it and when the SA tried a few JC blushers on me (my absolute fav blushes of all time) we both instantly said YES to this one!!!! It brightens me up without screaming in your face. I agree with the previous reviewer that said this is a lovely neutral tone blush, perfect for us fair skin gals...I find on me it shows up a delicate pinky-peach...It reminds me of Nars Orgasm without the golden glitter mixed in...I love love love the texture of Chanel Jc blushers as they have a hint of shimmer to them that gives me such a sophisticated glow to my face...They will last you forever, apply smooth as silk, and last throughtout my work day, so the price is justified, imo... :) Gorgeous blush!!!

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Perle 02
rated 5 of 5
Brunettegirl 5/20/2010 7:47:00 AM

I am loving this lipstick...I was drawn to this color as I selected 2 lippies at the counter to try on, and when I looked down at the names I had picked the same color 2 x's..Lol.....I rarely stray far from Christian Dior Addict lippies because of they way they feel, but I am SO glad I bought this...I have chronic, dry- chapped lips and l/s usually only enhances this problem, but this formula is so creamy and dreamy that I can't wait to purchase more! I also can't get over how well the pigment stays on your lips throughout the day for a creamy/hydrating formula.....This color is literally perfect for my NC20 skintone, which leans more toward yellow (or even fair olive) undertones...I typically do not wear dark colors, as I prefer more nudes & naturals and this is perfect. It shows up on me as a natural brownish, rosey-pink. It shimmers on my lips when light catches it, without any glitter what- so- ever. Very easy color to wear. My new fav natural l/s...I will be going through this one fast as it goes with everything...

Lipstick -MAC - Hot Gossip - Cremesheen
rated 4 of 5
Brunettegirl 5/8/2010 6:56:00 AM

Wow PRETTY indeed on my NC20 complexion...What a ncie surprise to have found this for my new pinky, Spring look...I spent the long winter wearing browny-plums and was in the market for a whole new look for Spring...I recently purchased a soft, sheer natural- pink blush from Chanel and wanted a lipstick to compliment it. Oddly enough this was the first lippie that caught my eye out of the HUGE selection that MAC has...I tried it on and instantly liked it...I still wandered around the dept store pondering it, and as I headed over to Chanel the MA told me what a GREAT lipstick I had on and what a great color for my complexion...Needless to say, I was SOLD...It's a medium pink with a hint of shimmer and when the color wears off I see a pinky-plum...Texture is quite creamy.... A side note: I usually will only wear CD addict or high shine l/s due to constant- severe chapped lips but this one didn't dry me out...

Blush -Chanel - Les Tissages de Chanel - Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Pink
rated 3 of 5
Brunettegirl 5/2/2010 5:21:00 PM

Update:Originally gave this a 5, now a 3...I returned this...I think this would be better suited for cooler toned girls...I also had to apply way too much to acheive my desired depth and much prefer Chanel JC blushers for texture and pigmentation... I absolutely adore Chanel blushes and decided now that I have finally hit pan on fav jc Chanel blsuher, it was time to go shopping! .... There were two younger SA the day I arrived at the Chanel counter, both whom had on the PERFECT blush look that I was going for and when I asked them each what blush they had on it just so happened to be this lovely color ....Just GORGEOUS and magazine worthy!!! They also both told me they wear Ivory in Teint Innocence foundation like myself.........At first I wasn't so sure of the color though when they showed me the pan. I am NC 20-25 ish, and clearly lean more warm on the neutral scale...I persoanlly find my skintone VERY HARD to match, (I am often told I am fair- olive,or yellow-ish undertones) and find anything with a strong brown or orange undertone just looks terrible on me and makes me so drab, but often pinks are too cool and just don't work either ...My doubt went away though when one of the girls swiped this on me...My skin pulled brown from this blush too, so it wasn't quite as cool as I originally thought, maybe more neutral-cool and seem to be the right contrast for my warmer fair skin...Just lovely for a day look or a natural but put together look for the office....Really am enjoying my new tweed pink...Goes to show you simply have to try stuff on...You will probably want to be a little heavy handed, as I have to sweep a few strokes to achieve my desired intensity due to it's sheerness...
