Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Tint No. 1645 Bare Mint
BrownEyes01 5/8/2013 5:34:00 PM
I really like this gloss! It's a sheer, caramel color. I love the peppermint oil in it that makes your lips tingle a little and it's supposed to help freshen your breathe. And if you happen to lick your lips, it tastes good, too! It was an impulse buy at Bath and Body Works but so far, I'm happy with it. May pick up another color or two next time I'm in there.
Pleasantly surprised by this!! The original formula did not work well on me, most likely because it was not aimed for oily skin and I am oily. This gives a little hydration, which now in the hotter weather, I don't need an additional moisturizer. In the winter, I would use a separate moisturizer. It gives more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but not full coverage like a foundation. I still need to use concealer over it and top it with powder. It does have a slight sunscreen smell but it fades once you are done applying. Very happy with it so far!!
Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Coral Twist

I only have this color in this line. On my coloring (C2, yes I am pale, pale, pale!) it is a true coral. Not too orange or too red. Love the consistency of it. It's moisturizing but still dry so it's not glossy. I had to break out of my nude rut and this did it for me! Definitely going to get other shades!!
This is most definitely the brightest polish I own!! And it is a gorgeous color! Will second basically everything everyone else has said. Streaky with first coat but nice after second and third coat. I will do three with this one. I can get about 4 days without chipping even with a base coat and good top coat. But, as this is my first CG, don't know if that is because of this type of color (neon) or the formula of the brand. Will not stop me from trying other colors!! Perfect for the upcoming seasons.
I got a very generous sample size of this product. It is a nice scrub and I like that it is a dry powder that you add water to and make a paste out of. Other than that, I am not wowed. I suppose it serves it purpose as an exfoliator but I still like Philosophy's Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash better. So, I will not be purchasing. Not to mention, it's expensive!!
Lips -Wet 'n' Wild - Jumbo Juicy Lip Balm in Strawberry
BrownEyes01 4/9/2013 9:49:00 PM
I bought this because it is strawberry and looks cute. Very artificial strawberry smell, of course but still fun. Not the best lip product I have used but not the worst. The only con would be that the pink color (there is a subtle pink color) can accumulate on your lips after numerous reapplications throughout the day but that is easily remedied with wiping it off and then reapplying. I would not buy again only because I am always buying new products but I certainly can see the appeal of these.

I, also, thought this was a lipgloss until I put it on and felt my lips become very dry and sticky within a few seconds. I do not even recall what color I bought because it has been thrown away. I did give it another try. I put lip balm underneath, put it on again, and did not touch my lips together for a few minutes. But alas, I cannot stand the streaky color or the way it makes my lips feel. It was one of the pale, pinky colors. Maybe the more pigmented colors are better but I am not going to buy another one to find out...
This definitely is bubblegum pink but I love it! Am wearing it right now. It is opaque in one coat but I use two just because I use at least two coats with all of my polishes. I have to respectfully disagree with a previous poster who said this has shimmer in it. There is NO shimmer. Its a cream. No shimmer at all. However, it would look great with glitter over. May do that next time...
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum

This color is very similar to MAC's Syrup. i would say Syrup is slightly more pink but very similar. The texture is good. Can't wait to try more!
Never again!! I tried this when I was a teen and couldn't remember why I stopped using it. My mom had bought a bottle because it was on sale so I saw it in the closet and thought I would give it a go. Never again. This broke me out so bad!! Which is really disappointing because so many dermatologists recommend it. I used it for a while to make sure my skin wasn't purging, but no, the breakout never subsided. I love the pump and I know it's fairly cheap but I can't do it. The only other thing that made my skin breakout so bad was Murad's acne line. I am glad it works well for others though!!
My absolute favorite lip treatment. Compared to everything else I have tried, this is so buttery smooth. Everything else feels like wax. Has a slight smell but you can't smell it after a second. The best. Will repurchase.
Cleansers -Philosophy - the microdelivery exfoliating wash
BrownEyes01 11/7/2011 3:45:00 AM
Currently, this is my favorite exfoliating product. The grains are small enough to not scratch but still be effective. And it is gentle enough to use every day. I guess it would be better if it were in a tube because my bottle does get clogged. Oh well, the product inside is worth it.

I can't compare this to the Clarisonic because I have never used it but I hear this comparable (or at least somewhat). I use this every night when I remove my makeup. You can use it with any cleanser. I haven't used the cleanser that came with it because I am acne-prone and hesitant to use new products. My skin is definitely smoother after I use it and like to think that my subsequent products sink in better.
This mask smells better than most. It's sweet smelling. Has a thick consistency and I like to use it when I'm in the bathtub. I haven't noticed any long term lightening of my hyperpigmentation but you can notice some lightening immediately after you remove the mask. As others have noted, there is a film left over once you rinse but it's easily removable with my toner. It's just a little luxury that I like to treat myself to even if the lightening effects aren't groundbreaking.
I know this has worked so well for other people. I just don't know that it has done that much for me. It definitely dries the skin, though. It is fun to use!!
