I have tried so many foundations lately in an attempt to find the colour and texture which suits me. I have very fair but freckly skin and most foundations are simply too yellow for me and create a 'mask' effect. I so wanted to love Vitalumiere by Chanel but it oxidised and didn't last too long. Doublewear by EL is my staple and the new lighter version is a favourite also. I asked the SA where this sits within the range and she wasn't too sure, in fact I found that at a few counters SA's in general were not too enthusiastic about it. I love that it is flawless and gives coverage without being shiny. It does not last all day but as another reviewer says it touches up easily, simply reapply over the top. I think this will fit into my regime for days when I want more coverage without the heavy feel on my skin. Not sure where it sits between Doublewear light, and the BB cream??
I never liked this fragrance in the past! I sprayed it recently on a trip to Boots where I often try something that I have never tried before and for some reason this caught my eye. I was pleasantly surprised and will agree with another reviewer that it is what I wish Chanel 5 was. It is fresh and not cloying. Staying power is good and it has retained it's freshness yet at the same time having some depth. It reminds me of a remodelled fur coat, something that has been reincarnated into something better! Yum!
Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear LIGHT Foundation SPF10

Wanting something lighter than my usual doublewear for Summer I discovered this last week. It gives just enough coverage for the warmer weather and applies well with both brush and fingers. I opted for the lightest shade and it suits perfectly, I would usually wear cool bone in Doublewear. I put a light dusting of powder over the top and it doesn't look too matte as other reviewers have commented.
Rated highly by Lisa Eldridge I rushed out to buy it and I'm glad I did. It is a rich peachy nude colour, very moisturising. had to reapply a lot during the day though! Cheap as chips too.
BB Cream -Rimmel - BB Cream Beauty Balm 9 in 1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup

I have tried the Dr. Jart BB cream and whilst I liked the finish and texture of that cream I did not like the colour. I have fair, freckled skin and find it incredibly hard to find the right colour in any foundation or tinted moisturiser. I received a sample of this and usually I would walk past a rimmel counter but this morning I was in a hurry and didn't have time for a full make up so I thought 'give it a go'. I am so glad that I did. I mixed it with a tiny bit of moisturiser and applied with a foundation brush, it went on smoothly and evenly and blended well. I didn't use much of Fair. It gives a natural finish with average coverage. I did use YBFneutralising cream first to smooth out any redness and large freckles though! I am pleased and will definitely purchase the larger size.
I was impressed overall with the the SA at Selfridges in Birmingham and very impressed with her make up and her overall knowledge about the products. I am a primer junkie - having tried so many and always on the look out for the HG product. The first problem I noticed was that my foundation changed to an orange colour and took about 5 minutes to tone down again! Very odd and slightly disconcerting as it changed the overall colour without a doubt. I noticed that one other reviewer mentions the same problem! This is not a problem I have ever noticed before with other primers such as MAC, Urban Decay, Lancome, Daniel Sandler, Estee Lauder etc.
My skin colour seems to have changed as I get older and I have struggled to find a foundation colour which suits me. I have very pale skin with some freckles, which can make it harder. I like full coverage but not a mask like effect. I tried Bone, which was a little light and Cool bone which is perfect. I don't wear it every day as I don't always need the coverage but the days I do wear it my skin looks flawless. I apply a tiny amount with a stippling brush and am really pleased with the outcome. I sometimes use Laura Mercier's illuminating Primer underneath if I think I look a little matte! Also the samples that EL are giving out to promote the new colours are very generous so you really get a chance to sample before purchasing.
Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Merumaya - Iconic Youth Serum

This is a new range from a very clever lady who worked for Lancome and also Origins. She knows a thing or two about skincare and her product range is amazing. The serum is amazing and leaves the skin feeling so soft and smooth. Her cleansing balm is to die for too.
Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Emma Hardie-amazing face

I am not a fan of balm type cleansers preferring rich creamy ones (Elemis) but I gave this a go after watching Emma on QVC and it came as part of a set. It's all I use now. I never have to use toner afterwards and it removes all my make up and eye make up. I also mix it with the seeds and use it as a mask. I have tried all of Emma's products now and I am very happy with them. I have had many facials over the years with Emma and she has great passion and integrity about her skincare products which she spent years researching. The eye serum is particularly lovely. Unlike other reviewers I like her cleansing cloths - I have many many muslin cloths - but I find hers easier to remove the product with and do some of the sweeping techniques she demonstrates on TV. Packaging quality is average I admit, as I find with a lot of QVC brands in general. I suppose it is a way of keeping costs down though!
Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Lulu's Time Bomb - Smart Balm Eye Cream

I bought this having watched a demo on QVC. I applied it regularly as Lulu recommended, even over my make up. I didn't notice any major improvements but what put me off was the fact that the product congealed in the pot and I had to throw it out. I wrote directly to Lulu's website but never had a reply! Unimpressed.
Found this on a recent trip to Dubai, it sold out in the UK months ago. It layers well with LBM and most other scents apparantly. It is so creamy and not very strong but lasts well and I can still smell it on my clothes!! When I sprayed it my family all asked what it was, unusual in my house. Will treasure each spray as I will probably not find it again.
Managed to find this on a recent trip to Dubai, they hold the most stock of this scent for some reason. I much prefer it to Lime Basil and Mandarin, very fresh without being too citrus. It combines well with the latter apparantly! Would agree with the other reviewers in general and is very refreshing in hot weather.
I found this in Dubai recently. I fell in love with the strong and pungent smells but the prices of local fragrances put me off purchasing. When I found this it combined the best of the middle east with a western touch. Lasting power is amazing, very original for EL. Expensive!
Oh my!!! I like some of the fragrances in this line but this one blows me away. Mind you it should at the price. I received a sample and tried it today, it is divine and I received many many compliments whilst wearing it. It is warm and woody but with just the right amount of floral undertones. Very sophisticated and not at all 'cologne' like which is why I rarely splash out on this line despite liking some of the fragrances. It is very expensive and so not sure I can justify a purchase just yet.?
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Tunes in Strawberry Funk (number 98)

Love this. Hadn't bought a juicy tube for years as I had found them gloopy in the past and not enough colour but this one has changed my mind. Would agree with the comments made by the other reviewers. Definitely a keeper!
