Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Shower Gel
Bonnie2842 11/2/2010 2:51:00 PM
They have finally improved the Vanilla Bean Noel shower gel this year. It smells just like the lotion, warm caramel and vanilla, and it is strongly scented. The scent stays on my skin after showering, but just slightly. It lathers up nicely and makes my bathroom smell so delicious. The reason I would not buy this again is because it is not moisturizing at all. My skin is on the dry side and I need something that makes my skin feel softer after I shower, not drier.
Powder -Make Up For Ever - Duo Mat Powder foundation

I have dry skin, but I love the convenience and finish of powder foundation. I've tried several, but none compares to Duo Mat. The finish is really natural, not overly powdery at all. It's the only powder foundation I've tried that doesn't accentuate dry patches. Coverage is good, light to medium, depending on if you use a brush or sponge. I have clear skin with redness, and this evens out my skintone pretty well. It lasts until I take it off at night. I wear 201, the palest yellow shade. For reference I'm NC15-20 in MAC, Warm Ivory in Bobbi Brown, and 117 in MUFE HD.
I have dozens of blushes, but only a few that I really love, and Narcisse is in that group. Its a sweet, girly light pink with pearly shimmer that makes my cheeks glow once applied. I feel like it lights up my fair complexion. Its a true pink, not cool or warm. The texture is soft, and doesn't sit on top of your skin like some blushes do. It lasts all day on my dry skin. I don't mind the rose scent, I can't smell it once I apply.
Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste - Mirage (Rose Bronze)

This is a beautiful color for everday, a warm rose with pink iridescent shimmer. It looks natural on my neutral-warm fair skin. The texture is soft, and doesn't sit on top of your skin like some blushes do. It lasts all day on my dry skin. I don't mind the rose scent, I can't smell it once I apply.
Blush -Vincent Longo - Vincent Longo Pearlessence Gel Stains

I love lipstains, and I had really high hopes for this one, because I thought a shimmery stain was genius. I picked Bellini Love. The pros are: really good quality, it goes on perfectly evenly and lasts all day. It's sheer, which makes it easy to blend. It smells delicious, like vanilla. The base color is a gorgeous soft, natural pink. There is only one con but it ruins it for me: the shimmer. It's very, very frosty. Doesn't Vincent know frost went out in the 80's? If it didn't have the glaring silver sheen I would love it. Same goes for cheeks, even blended out it's too frosted for me. When he makes these with more subtle shimmer I'll be waiting outside his door for one.
This foundation is incredible, I'm so glad I gave it a try. I have dry, sensitive skin with a clear complexion, but with a little bit of ruddiness and uneveness near my nose. A few dabs of this with a sponge and my skin looks positively radiant! It gives an airbrushed finish, but looks really natural. The large pores around my nose instantly vanish. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear this. The texture is light, and I can't even feel it once I apply it. The illuminating part is tiny shimmers which you can't detect unless you look very closely in direct sunlight. It just gives a beautiful glow. I get the illusion of perfect skin with this, and I'm never giving it up.
This color is so underrated! In the pot, it's a warm yellowish cream, but applies as a frosted pale pink. It looks so pretty as a wash and in the inner corners. I love how it seems to instantly brighten my eyes. Because it is a veluxe pearl, the texture is soft and pigmented. For reference, I'm a NC25 with brown eyes.
Add me to all the raves this is getting. I wasn't really interested in getting anything from Barbie but this changed my mind. On my LLL complexion, it's a very sheer, pale peach with a subtle sheen of pink pearl. I can use it all over lightly, or as a blush if I layer once. It's very pretty and brightening, and the compact is adorable.
I love this fragrance, it's youthful, sweet, and light. To me, it smells like strawberries and caramel, but it's not a typical "foody" scent. It lasts all day on me and I get so many compliments when I wear it.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Body Double Mist- Strawberry Fizz

This is part of Victoria's Secret's new line of body care to coordinate with their Beauty Rush lipgloss. The body mists have two layers, a fragrance and a moisturizing layer. Strawberry Fizz is a sweet strawberries and cream scent, and is slightly lighter than the lotion. As for the moisturizing layer, my skin feels a little softer, but nothing significant. I like to layer this on top of the lotion for a longer lasting scent.

Slice of Heaven is a yummy sweet vanilla cake batter scent, and is slightly lighter than the lotion. As for the moisturizing layer, my skin feels a little softer, but nothing significant. This is part of Victoria's Secret's new line of body care to match thier lipgloss line, Beauty Rush. Slice of Heaven comes in a huge iridescent yellow squeeze tube to match the gloss. It smells delicious, like sweet vanilla cake batter. It's a light scent, but it lasts almost all day. The texture is on the thinner side, so no greasiness.
This is part of Victoria's Secret's new line of body care to coordinate with their Beauty Rush lipgloss. Strawberry Fizz comes in a huge iridescent pink squeeze tube that resembles the lipgloss. I've gotten several compliments when wearing this. It smells like strawberries and cream to me, and reminds me of strawberry starbursts. It's a stronger scent than Slice of Heaven. The texture is slightly on the thin side, so no greasiness, but it moisturizes my dry skin fine.
Highlighters -Clinique - Fresh Bloom AllOver Colour - Peony

This is becoming my most used blush. At first I just wanted it because the flower in the blush is so pretty, but it's actually a beautiful color as well. On my LLL complexion, it's a rose pink with a subtle sheen of shimmer. It's fairly sheer, but pigmented enough that I don't need to layer to see color. I haven't tried using it all over my face, I think that might make me look too pink. The color lasts all day on my dry skin, and the compact is easy to open and clear.
I'm really glad I stocked up on this because I have been using it a lot. It starts off as a spicy cinnamon, then settles into a delicious, warm gingerbread cookie scent. It's pretty strong, and lasts all day on me. I hope they re-release it this winter!
