Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

This was such a let down for me. L' Oreal isn't a cheap drugstore line. They can still be pretty expensive and honestly $11.00 CDN for a mascara isn't that bad except when you don't like it. It would be a good mascara of there wasn't as much product in the brush. Sorry to those who love it but Great Lash does just as good a job for me.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof

I don't usually wear waterproof mascara but, it was so hot and humid and really needed one. Since I love the original Great Lash I thought I'd try this one and I think it's awesome.

Great bronzer. Perfect color for me. Very expensive but nothing at the drugstore compares in terms of color for me.

I absolutely adore Great Lash. However, I dislike the brush on this version. I have tried it several times and it simply does not work for me. Love the original brush. Will not purchase this version again. I will however continue to purchase the original version.

I dislike the price. However, this mascara does perform very well. It is a really wonderful mascara my only complaints are the price and the added fragrance. I might purchase this again but, the price is ridiculous.

The only positive thing I have to say is that my lashes seemed to be in great shape with this mascara. It does seem to help condition them. That is quite literally the only positive thing I can say. This mascara clumps and is flaky and the added fragrance is annoying at best.

Disappointing. Very expensive. I certainly regret purchasing this mascara. The packaging is beautiful but the stopper is not effective and then the opening becomes encrusted with mascara and the lid does not close securely. As with 99% of all "high end" mascaras there is nothing high end about this.

Does a nice job. However, this mascara is ridiculously expensive and the added fragrance drives me nuts. I made the mistake of trying three different tubes of Dior mascara and I have to say all of them were disappointing. This one seemed to dry out quickly, an issue I do not find with my Great Lash mascara. In my opinion this mascara is certainly not worth more than $10. Also, I do not understand why cosmetic companies think we need fragrance in cosmetic products. It does not irritated eyes or skin I simply think it is unecissary. Will not purchase again.

I'm not sure why so many people hate this mascara. It isn't perfect but it does a good job. I think the problem is that we are so used to seeing advertisements promoting "false lash effect" mascaras that we forget about good old fashioned mascaras. Personally, I love this mascara. It thickens enough for me and yes unfortunately it does smudge a little bit on me, mostly in very hot, humid weather. Unlike many other reviewers this was not the first mascara I used. I have been wearing makeup for years and I only purchased this mascara a few months ago an even though it doesn't make my lashes look amazing I still love it. It really is just a good basic everyday mascara. I can see why so many makeup artists love it. Plus the price is great!
