Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Delights (all shades) [DISCONTINUED]

I'm usually not a fan of normal Maybelline eyeshadows, but this looked so cute I had to give it a try...And it was terrible! First of all the colours pratically look the same when applied and second of all the shadow didn't go on smoothly, it went on lu
Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice in Strawberry Tart [DISCONTINUED]
Blink 8/25/2003 9:25:00 PM
These have finally arrived in Australia (And about time too!) and ofcourse I had to check it out to see what all the fuss is about. I bought my first blush delice in Strawberry Tart and I'm loving it! A lovely baby pink shade which is also light enough that I can apply to my entire face for a bit of a glow, but as others have said it must be layered on to see some colour. Retails for about AUD$24, which I thought was quite expensive for a low-end item but certainly worth it. I really adore the packaging, so compact and cute, handy enough to carry around with you. My only gripe is the brush. I find it extremely hopeless, it doesn't seem to want to pick up any of the colour and when it does it's uneven. I find a more rounder brush will do the job better. Overall a great product!
I managed to get a hold of this before it sold out completely, luckily I did! This is now one of my favourite blushes! I love the concept of the blush, which I admit was one of the things which drew me to it. The blush consists of different shades of pink 'petals' and a gold center, perfect for highlighting. Gives a lovely pop of pink to the cheeks. Definate rave!
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Eye Shadow - Garden Variety
Blink 8/6/2003 10:09:00 PM
This is my first experience with Maybelline eyeshadows, and now I know why I've steered clear of them all these years. This palette caught my eye 1. Because it was a limited edition 2.The colours looked really pretty in display 3.Being a neutral e/s girl, I was keen to buy a palette that had a variety of shades so I could experiment. I was disappointed with the quality of the e/s, it seemed very 'chalky'. One swipe of the pan and it would come off in little chunks and the hetchmarks would disappear straightaway. I don't know if it was the applicators that came with it or what but I found it very hard to apply and achieve any color at all. It was a drugstore item and for the amount I paid I guess I can't have too high expectations, but I don't think because it was a low-end brand that it was poor quality (Jane is a good example), I love Maybelline blushes, glosses and WSDL, but this e/s was just blah!
Lip Gloss -Sugar Cosmetics - I Taste Like Sugar mini 12 piece gloss set
Blink 7/9/2003 10:59:00 PM
Another great product from Sugar! This is the cutest thing I've ever seen! 12 individual glosses package in a clear plastic (and reusable) container. The colors of the glosses are mainly pinks/mauves and would suit most people. All have the distinct sweet smell that all Sugar glosses have. Although the gloss feels quite thin, it has good staying power and is not overly sticky. My one and only complaint about this is they are extremely *small*. Total net weight is .42 Oz or 12 grams, which means each glosss contains 1 gram of gloss. It does have it's advantages being so tiny though, they can fit anywhere! Overall an excellent product and I can definately see myself repurchasing these!
These are an absolutely great alternatives to Juicy Tubes! High-shine that lasts for ages, but not as sticky as JT's, great flavour and the packaging is almost identical to a JT. Comes in the same tube, but this tube is clear, and has a slant applicator. There is 15ml/.5Fl Oz. in a tube and the scents are all sweet/fruity scents. I have this in 'Fly Girl' which is a similar shade to JT in Lychee but lighter. And at a third of the cost of a JT(Approx. AUD$13-14) you definately can't go wrong!
I have this in Brownie Cheesecake, smells exactly like chocolate, I love it. Th gloss itself has a really thin consistancy and goes on with shimmer but staying power unfortunately isn't very good. Although I don't mind re-applying because it smells so good! The packaging is cute, I like the wand applicator and as for the rattles... I'm recieving another 3 in a swap so I will be looking forward to that!
I really like this! I find this to be a mixture of a balm and a gloss because it's so moisturizing, yet a little bit shiny if I apply enough on. The scent I have is Strawberry, and I much prefer this scent to the Original Strawberry Lipsmacker scent. Packaging is a bit plain and boring, but at this price I shouldn't really be complaining.
I really like the color of this and the texture, not too sticky like others, although it is slightly thin. I couldn't stand the grittiness, it felt like it was cutting into my lips :( I will try other glossimers though, ones without glitter.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm
Blink 6/21/2003 7:48:00 AM
I really like this, very moisturizing and smells absolutely gorgeous! I pop this on at night time and when I wake up my lips are the softest! I love the gold tin, very cute and portable enough to put into any of my bags. I haven't tried the 'Orginal' yet but I definately plan to after I've finished this!
I've just had a huge haul arrive from lipmedic.com where I went on a Blue-Q binge! First of all I find the novelty factor of these lipbalms great, they were so pretty in the package that I didn't want to take them out! Slut is a 'floozy fruit' flavour while the Virgin is ment to be a 'berry' flavour, IMO I can't tell the difference between them, they both smell great! However these balms aren't very moisturizing at all compared to others. The balm goes on a really thin consistancy and I find I have to re-apply more often. But because of the cuteness factor and the price (USD$5 for 2 balms!) I will definately be repurchasing!
Lip Treatments -Avon - Movie Treats lip balm in Popcorn
Blink 6/14/2003 10:31:00 PM
I was definately surprised with this balm~ It smells exactly like buttered popcorn! The balm itself is slightly waxy but moisturizing and the twist up tube is adorable. And at the price you pay it's definately worth buying even if you'd only use it once!
Lip Gloss -Sugar Cosmetics - Lip Fever - lip liner & lip gloss duo
Blink 5/25/2003 11:22:00 PM
I have this in Rush. A pink gloss and a brown liner, a weird sounding combination but I actually find that it works well together. Although I most likely wont be using the liner much, the gloss is a godsend! Like all Sugar glosses it has that distinctive sweet smell and good staying power. I love the packaging! The twist-up liner slots in on top and the gloss is at the bottom and comes in a brush applicator instead of a sponge-tip, this makes for easier application. Retails for $19USD, a bit pricey as I'm guessing it won't last long but I'm a fan of Sugar so I will be repurchasing!
Lip Gloss -MAC - GHETTO limited edition Australian exclusive lipglass
Blink 5/16/2003 8:03:00 AM
The fact that this was a limited edition made me want to buy it, I'm glad I did, it's such a gorgeous shade. I'm not a fan of lipglass-too sticky (though excellent staying power) but I will make an exception for Ghetto. Dan Single of Tsubi says this lipglass is made for "tough chicks and not so tough boys". Love it!
I love this palette! This set includes a duo lipgloss (Cat&Mouse), a blush (Whiskers) and a bronzer (Catnip). The lipgloss is lovely and has excellent staying power, the blush gives a lovely pink flush to my cheeks and I *love* the bronzer, it looks very natural on me. Comes in a slim gold compact and includes a brush. Will definately be repurchasing refills.
