Mascara -Revlon - Fabulash
Bhree 12/26/2008 10:34:00 PM
Now that I've used this stuff, it's like a less volumizing Beyond Natural mascara. I use this because some days, big plump lashes just look silly on me. I have pretty long, thick lashes anyway, so sometimes I just want good definition. This delivers. Of course, some gals want mascara to be godly in performance, so I can see why some wouldn't think it's that great.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Charcoal
Bhree 12/26/2008 10:29:00 PM
I think I love this more than the colorstay eyeliner in black. I wear a lot of black eyeshadow, and grey just looks weird if you wear it with black. But I have found that this looks very lovely with a wide variety of lighter colors, especially revlon's "Lavender Meadow" quad. I will definitely repurchase. My black eyeliner must be getting jealous.

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
Bhree 12/10/2008 4:26:00 AM
I felt a little odd buying something meant for chafing (vaginal, no less) for my face. But the odd feeling quickly wore away. I bought this huge tube for $5. As much as I love Relvon's primer from being the same quality as other department store brands, the price really cinches it. The revlon primer is $10 and contains a scent that sometimes makes my eyes water. The monistat is basically the same thing, but $5, contains more in the tube and has no scent. Once I use this up I will DEFINTELY repurchase. I'm in love with primer now for helping keep the crap out of my pores.

Liquid -Revlon - Shine Control Mattifying Foundation ] [DISCONTINUED]
Bhree 12/5/2008 2:09:00 AM
This was my first Revlon foundation. And the greatest ever. I have never been a fan of looking dewy by any means. This kept my icky teen skin so matte and smooth, it was wonderful. I loved shaking it up in the morning. It was runny but I didn't need much coverage if I used concealer and powder. It lasted quite a while. But eventually I did run out. Revlon, why do you discontinue everything I love?

Eyeliner -Cover Girl - Perfect Point Plus Eyeliners
Bhree 12/4/2008 8:31:00 PM
Awww, this was my first eyeliner. My eye doctor says I've got the strongest blink reflex he's ever seen. I started trying to line my eyes when I was 12. First I could only line the bottom. I used this in charcoal to touch up my mistakes easier. I remember having issues with it smudging with the corners of my eyes. Of course my eyes water from time to time so it's no big deal for most people. It had great color and was very easy to apply. Great for beginners because you never have to worry about sharpening it.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
Bhree 12/4/2008 8:22:00 PM
When this stuff dries, it stays and stays and stays. I have it in black and many hours later you can't tell that it's moved a bit at all. It stays dark pretty much all day long. Can't wait to try to other colors.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
Bhree 12/4/2008 8:09:00 PM
For years I had heard that Vaseline/mineral oil and basically any petroleum product was EVIL and not meant to be used on the face. I don't know why I was so stupid, because this is one of the best, cheapest and most abundant makeup removers out there! This is one of the only things I have found that can completely defeat the Revlon colorstay line. This works better than *any* eye makeup remover I have ever used. I put it on the eyeliner and one my lashes, let it sit for about 2 minutes and wipe if off with a baby wipe. I do the same for the rest of my face and this will take off a good deal of your longwearing foundation. I wash my face with Clearasil in order to get off the remaining dirt, oil and makeup residue the baby wipe simply can't clean off. If I leave petroleum products on my skin for a long period of time I break out, but with brief contact as a makeup remover it's perfectly fine.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
Bhree 12/3/2008 2:34:00 PM
So I've been using this for a while and WOW, it helps. I think the main thing that sets this balm apart is that it contains no mineral oil. Just ingredients that will sink in, mositurize and stay there.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Bhree 12/3/2008 2:32:00 PM
I put this in my hair and it did fantastic. My curly hair has trouble holding moisture and I often frizz out of control. Common problem. Here's what I do. 1. apply the oil to my hair, just enough to cover it. Excess tends to run down my face. 2. run the hair dryer over it on low heat 3. wrap my head in an old towel and leave it for a fer hours. You can mop, fold laundry, whatever. just do your thing 4. Wash it out with shampoo. You really don't need conditioner after you wash it out, but if you condition the the next day you should be pretty much frizz free.

Tools -Unlisted Brand - Seacret - nail buffer
Bhree 12/3/2008 2:26:00 PM
Note: No one negotiates the price down. They do this for everyone so if you pay $25 (or $30 due to inflation) you're getting it at MSRP, they just want you to think you're getting a deal so you'll buy it. BUT, I effing love this thing and so far it's lasted a lot longer than the 99 cent buffers I often bought at sally's. Is the whole kit worth $30? Yes, the ingredients even check out (no mineral oil!).

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm w/Vitamin E & Spf 15
Bhree 11/29/2008 8:13:00 PM
My lid is also hard to get off but I can excuse this. I have a little trouble finding a lip balm with and SPF. Crazy, right? But this is a bug plus, in addition to the scent (smells just like chocolate), moisturizing and the staying power. Will definitely buy again.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Skinlights Glosslights for Lips
Bhree 11/29/2008 8:08:00 PM
I have this in opal, I believe. It's clear with bits of silver glitter. Very natural looking. I usually opt to wear it over a cool-toned red lipstick, it looks smashing that way. I prefer squeezy tube glosses, I kind of wish Revlon had kept this.

Blush -Revlon - Skinlights Color Lighting for Eyes/Cheeks [DISCONTINUED]
Bhree 11/29/2008 8:05:00 PM
I have this in berry. It's more of a natural rosy color than the name leads you to believe. It stays longer than a cream eyeshadow and makes a great blush. It leaves just a tiny bit of micro-shimmer, so those with a glitter phobia shouldn't be put off by it. It has less than say, wet n wild highlighters. It's pretty pigmented so you only have to use a bit. I've used it probably 10-15 times already and I can't even tell I've made a dent in it.

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - 18 Hour Lip Treatment in Clear Whisper
Bhree 11/29/2008 8:00:00 PM
I didn't expect this to last 18 hours, no gloss will. I bought it mostly because of the color: sparkly with pink iridescence. It really does moisturize, the packaging doesn't fib about that, at least. Best of all I got an invisible lipliner for free, to help keeps the gloss in place. Not that I had trouble keeping it in place without the liner.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub
Bhree 11/29/2008 2:42:00 AM
I love this scrub. The minty tingle really wakes you up. Just like the Oatmeal scrub, the grains are very fine, so you only need a small amount to do serious exfoliating. I like Queen Helene's scrubs a lot better than St. Ives--their scrubbies are too coarse
