Long story short: Pros: 1. Nice coverage, light weight and not heavy 2. colour match is good (I'm medium skin tone, leaning toward tanned, asian, I'm wearing OC30) 3. easy to bring around as it's not heavy in glass bottle Con: 1. Not very effective with oil-control but it's ok with me since foundation that is too dry accentuates my pores. Strange fact: - May react with certain blushers and cause zits (e.g. Estee Lauder) I don't have problem with zits when I wear Estee Lauder blusher with my sun block but will have zits with the foundation. But no issue when used with Shiseido blusher for example. I have experimented a few times and results have always been as above...??? Weird.

I have used this for more than 6 months. I like it better than Exuviance because it is less sticky. I use it once a day in the morning, followed with L'Oreal sunscreen for sensitive skin. P.CF seems to 'melt' the sunscreen so that it's more easily absorbed, I feel. Anyway, I don't have any problem with the serum giving me clogged pores. It lightens my overall skin tone so that I don't look that sallow. I'm Asian with tanned skin so I don't expect pink glow that some fair asians or caucasians have. It's also moisturising enough for me, with my sunscreen on top. I'm rather satisfied with P.CF and I'm thinking of adding their Retin A 0.5 into my rountine but still hesitant because I remember my bad episode with Diacneal that just broke me out like crazy. Although I had prescibed tretinon before and remember that my pores looked so fine, that was many years ago and I wonder if it was because I was younger then, with finer skin.....: ( Anyway, P,CF has been great for me as a preventive, anti-aging measure.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant

1. Blotchy skin- Like what many reviewers have mentioned, my skin burned when I followed the instructions-massage gently on the face. No matter how gently I did that, my face would be blotchy. So what I am doing now is just mix it into paste and leave it on my face for about a minute, while I brush my teeth. My face looks brighter and feels tighter. No more blotchy face. 2. Small pimples- Thought it was caused by this, but stopped using for a few days and small pimples still appeared. So don't think this is the cause. Don't think that it causes more pimples too. As for less breakouts, hmmm, don't think so. Just clearer and brighter skin. 3. Bad packaging - Yes. Tend to pour out too much. What I did is to cover one of the two holes and that solved the problem. Conclusion: Use this and Gentle Cream Exfoliant. Micro Exfoliant gives bright and clear skin. Whereas Gentle Cream Exfoliant helps in getting rid of flaky skin. Might continue to use both unless find something better.

This is a lousy and an over-priced product that does nothing! Untill now, I still don't understand how it could be out-of-stock when I first attempted to buy it. The oily cream just sits on the skin and the next day, it's still there! So are the fine lines. I have given it to my sis and she's not having any luck with this too. The packaging is not hygenic because it's in a jar. I had to use Q-tips to dig it out everytime I used it! So much for the trouble and money for something so useless! I'm off to try Burts Bee Attar of Rose which might work and even if it doesn't, I won't feel the pinch like this one!Don't waste your money on this!

Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation

I wouldn't call this my HG foundation although I nearly wanted to do so when I first used it. It is definitely a good quality foundation. You only need a little to provide good coverage. I am using Sunny Beige and Warm Ivory. Sunny Beige melts nicely into my skin but darkens a little after several hours. Warm Ivory is for occasions where I need to look more 'made-up' since it's slightly lighter and brings out colours of my make-up. It can be a bit drying especially around the mouth and eye-area. It does gives a dewy feel and look but I feel uncomfortable with this 'sticky' feel and needs to dust Ettusais loose powder over to rid it. I use LM tinted-moisturiser before the foundation and I'm too lazy to dampen my brush when applying the foundation. Anyway, it's not thick at all to warrant that kind of trouble!

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Lasting Lift Mascara

On vacation now, so have time to do some reviews (my way of thanking all MUAers for their time taken to give wonderful & detailed reviews on pdts). Shiseido Lasting Lift works very well with their own Mascara Base. These are the tests that the mascara and the base have gone through: 1) 4hr mountain-climbing on the hot and humid Bali island, 2)a shower, and 3)dip in the pool. The curl stayed put for the first test, as for second and third test, my curl drooped a bit (15 degree) but I did not have to redo my make-up to go out for a dinner. I've tried Shiseido Volume mascara but felt that Lasting Lift gives the same volume but with other advantages. Lasting Lift seperates lashes nicely and holds curl better with the base. Also, the mascara lasts a LONG TIME - 6 months!and it is cheaper than most other high-end brands.

Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]

I have tried many brands of mascara, from low to high end and nothing can hold a curl as well as Shiseido mascara base! I was so disillusioned that I depended on (& got addicted to) eyelash perming and I had them permed every 2 mths! But now, I don't have to anymore. This base holds curl (on my Asian poker-straight lashes)the whole day even in my humid country. My eyelashes looked as good as permed ones when the MA curled and used the base on me. I have yet to perfect her curling technique though. Note: I prefer Shiseido curlers to Shu and use DiorShow which is ok. No prob taking off the base too unlike some reviews here. Just use oil-based remover like Lancome's.

Mascara -Helena Rubinstein - Vertiginous Mascara

Tried Vertiginous after reading all the reviews here. Must say that it doesn't do much except just to lift just a few mms against gravity (I have long but thin and sparse and poker straight Asian lashes). The product is rather dry (warned the MUA at the counter even before I bought it).Don't waste your money on it. I think that Ampicils from Lancome does a better job than this although I don't understand why the average rating for Lancome mascaras is low at about 3.5 average. Will try to finish Vertiginous quickly and move on to Shiseido Long Lasting Lift Mascara since it's rated 5.0 here!Warning: For those of you who like to perm your lashes, don't overdo it. I think my lashes have become more sparse due to prolonged perming ie. more than a year, once per two months.
