Other -Crest - Crest 3D White Whitestrips With Advanced Seal Professional Effects Enamel Safe Dental Whitening Kit,
Beckaroosy 8/23/2011 9:49:00 PM
I've used these whitestrips for 3 days now and have already noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth. There is some sensitivity while using them but certainly nothing terrible. It didn't even stop me from drinking ice water or eating ice cream. Just mild discomfort. Certainly worth a little discomfort to be able to have a nice white smile! The best part about these is that they don't have any sort of nasty flavor! They also don't shift around on your teeth. With the results that I'm already getting, I can't see needing more than 7 strips to get the whiteness I'd like. I can easily see this pack of 20 strips lasting me over a year. What a deal!

Polishes -Essie - Sugar Daddy
Beckaroosy 8/21/2011 11:12:00 PM
Sugar Daddy is a very sheer medium pink color. This is not for people who want to significantly change the color of their natural nails. You would need a more opaque nail color for that. This is perfect for people who just want a very natural, clean manicured look. It's perfect for that. I haven't had any problems with this streaking and love wearing it on days when I want my nails to look polished, but natural and healthy.

Tinted Moisturizer -Aveeno - positively radiant
Beckaroosy 7/16/2011 6:17:00 PM
It's only been day 3 or so since I've begun using this, but I'm already pretty enamored with it. I have tried Laura Mercier and other expensive tinted moisturizers without much success. They often wouldn't have enough coverage to cover my skin's red patches (especially around the nose) and they would often leave my skin very oily. This moisturizer has a surprising amount of coverage. I apply it in a circular motion with my fingertips. It's a drier lotion so you have to rub it in a little longer than other lotions or you might get streaks but I've never really had any problems with that. ( I have found a way to help it blend is to add a touch of normal moisturizer to it) I will often put a light brushing of BM Mineral Veil over the top of it to set everything and voila! I have perfectly flawed, healthy looking skin. I have seriously never had my skin look this dewy and healthy. I have also noticed my skin starting to look better on it's own with less redness and less break outs. This is not going to combat oily skin problems and you will still want to brush some mattifying powder over top or keep your blot sheets available during the day, but for healthy looking skin I would definitely recommend this. The price might be a bit pricey for drugstore brands, but for a moisturizer that works better than the department store brands I definitely think that this is worth it.

Polishes -Essie - Smooth Sailing
Beckaroosy 5/31/2011 12:54:00 PM
At the beginning of every season, I love to check out nail polishes. This summer my choice is Smooth Sailing. It's the perfect blue-purple shade. The color is quite sophisticated so that it allows you to add a bit of fun without looking over the top. I just love it on my toes. Not too much shimmer or sparkle. Just enough to add interest and the consistency is fantastic. No streaks! Lasts for two weeks minimum.

Polishes -Essie - Ballet Slippers
Beckaroosy 5/31/2011 12:49:00 PM
As the store was out of Sugar Daddy, I decided to give Ballet Slippers a try. Bad decision on my part. Ballet Slippers streaks like crazy. I don't know about you, but if I'm going with a neutral color, it's because I just want something quick that going to keep my nails from looking unkempt. I don't want to work for an hour trying to get a "neutral/ natural" look! That's what I reserve my 1940s pinup looks for. Just not worth the effort and with all of the other neutral color options out there, I just returned this one.

Treatments -Vaseline - Vaseline
Beckaroosy 5/1/2009 8:21:00 AM
While I have used this product for my lips, dry skin,etc... The most common way I use it is for my feet. I work 15 hour days where I am constantly on my feet. About once a week or so I'll use a pumice stone to scrub any calluses, slather vaseline on my feet and put socks on overnite. When I wake up my calluses are gone and my feet are incredibly soft! When I had a pedicure done for my sister's wedding, the pedicurist commented on how amazing it was that my feet were so soft considering the work that I did. Now THAT'S testimony to a good product!

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Party Girl duo
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:58:00 PM
Another beautiful eyeshadow duo by Too Faced. The lighter shade is a beautiful pale oyster pink and the darker is a beautiful purple with blue/purple glitter. Both are high in glitter and have high pigmentation. A little goes a long way! I tend to reach for the lighter shade as it's a great way to add pop and glamour to just about any look. The darker shade needs to be used more sparingly. I feel like it gives me a black eye look if a spread it on my lid so I tend to dab just a little in the crease and blend it well. The two look nice together and can be used in day or night depending on how heavy you go with them.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Eye shadow quad Hopeful Wishes LE 2006
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:47:00 PM
I found this quad discounted for only $3. Since it's discontinued I can't buy it anymore. Otherwise I might consider it because the price was so good. The quad comes with a beautiful shimmery silver, golden teal, charcoal grey and a pale minty green.I tend to use the silver most of all, but I do put a dab of the teal now and then when I wear gold shadows. I don't really the charcoal grey and have barely touched the mint green. The staying power isn't very good with these, but the price was good enough that I'm still pretty satisfied.

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Brows in Bloom kit in Brunette 1 and 2
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:42:00 PM
I found this kit at TJMaxx for a very good price. it comes with two shades of brunette brow powder, a golden shimmery highlighting cream and some brow wax. The kit comes with an angeled brush, but really should have had a brow brush instead. The brush that it has is a bit too wide for me so I tend to use my own instead. I like the brow powders and find the wax helpful. I don't think that the highlighter has very good staying power. Also, the powders tend to get into the wax and highlighter making them rather muddy. Not sure the packaging was a good idea on that end. However, I do reach for this everyday and am overall happy that I got it. Would I pay full price for this though? No. I would recommend getting two shades of inexpensive matte brown shadow and using those instead. you'd get the same result.

Blush -Neutrogena - Sheer Highlight Blush - Fresh
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:31:00 PM
I'm always searching for a nice blush and have tried a wide range of products from expensive to cheap. I still wish that this was a bit cheaper, but I can't complain about the quality of the product. I wouldn't bother with the brush that's included. Stick with your own. Fresh is a beautiful warm pink that can be applied quite sheer or built up to a more noticable pink. Either way, it's gorgeous. It creates such a beautiful natural flush that don't feel the need to worry about it conflicting with whatever eyeshadow or lipstick colors I might be wearing. I still have some of my other blushes but continue to reach for this one again and again. I'll defintely be sticking to this one for awhile.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - metallic creme eye colour - platinum
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:21:00 PM

I got this product as a free sample so I can't comment too much on price. I have to say that if I did pay money for it, it wouldn't be full price. I'd definitely try to find it discounted. It's a nice shimmery golden champagne color. It creases like most cream shadows do on me but can be easily fixed with one swipe of a finger. I grab this color anytime I want to keep my eyes fresh and understated. While I like the color and consistency of this product, I don't think that it's special enough to warrant Laura Mercier's usually high price tag.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Night Owl Eye Shadow
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:12:00 PM
I got this as a gift and tend to use it as a liner more than anything else. It's sadly not as shimmery as it is in the pan. Also, the consistency is a little uneven so I tend to minimize how much I use in the crease. It is pretty when paired with silver but takes so much effort to get it to blend that it becomes too time consuming for me. I'll use it up, but I'm not sure that I'll be eager to repurchase this one.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Taupeless (Lustre)
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:08:00 PM
I fell instantly in love with this color the moment I saw it. A beautiful pale lilacy pink with lots of glitter. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed once I got it home. The consistency leaves ALOT to be desired. Not too much color comes off with this and you get alot of cakey uneven glitter instead. The only way I've found this shadow even remotely wearable is if I wet it before application. That helps a bit with the consistency, but it's still too much work in my opinion.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Blackberry Eyeshadow
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 12:04:00 PM
I've had this eyeshadow for quite a long time now. I usually use it lightly in my crease over a pale shimmery white or gold. The contrast between matte and shimmer is very attractive. After applying in the crease I'll usually use it wet as an eyeliner. Very nice color to keep on hand. Especially if you have green or hazel eyes.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Illuminating Eyeshadow/Ombre Creme- Riviera
Beckaroosy 4/29/2009 11:59:00 AM
I got this for free and am glad that I did. It's way too expensive for what it is. It's a nice shimmery golden taupe, but nothing too spectacular. It creases just like any other cream shadow that I've used. You are definitely paying more for the name than the product. Just not worth the price.
