I worked for Benefit for many years and know the "box" products pretty well. The quality of the boxed products has always been very good... up until I tried Coralista and Bella Bamba. There is something about the texture that is not the classic Benefit chemistry. If you take a look at Dallas and how finely milled it is and how the finish blends in flawlessly, and compare it to the aforementioned blush products, you will notice a difference in quality. I am not sure if it has to do with the metallic finish, but both Coralista and Bella Bamba both have this cheap feel to them. It is unfortunate that with the beautiful coloring of these blushes that they had to use a low quality consistency. I will continue to use MAC and NARS blushes for the quality, and Benefit for products I've used for years like Ooh La Lift and High Brow. I did give the Bella Bamba three stars because the box is more durable than previous Benefit boxes (new waterproof plastic coating around the box, the lid is now attached to the product) and a nice mirror in the inside. The color is great, but the quality is lacking.
Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Roux - Fanci Full Rinse
BeautyFiend1976 11/5/2007 10:25:00 PM
Review for: White Minx and Ultra White Minx I am in the process of achieving white hair from a dark red (dyed, but naturally red) I have bleached it probably 5-6 times to get as blonde as possible, and this is hard for me since my hair is naturally red. I've tried toners that claimed to take out yellow and brassy tones in hair, but they made my hair gray or a weird beige color and ruined the beauty of the silvery white that I have achieved a few places in my hair. I bought a bottle of Roux Fanciful Rinse in White Minx and Ultra White Minx. I recommend White Minx for those trying to cut a lot of yellow out since it is a darker purple toner and helps more than the Ultra White Minx, which is a very light lavendar color. This product does a great job conditioning the hair! My hair feels very soft and bouncy after it dries! It's basically a leave-in conditioner for those who want platinum hair or want to keep silvery tones in gray hair. I love it, but I hear there are better leave-in toners out there than this one, so keep an eye out for my reviews.
This is my HG blush. I can't find another color replacement anywhere. If anyone knows where I can get something similar to this, let me know. It's a very light lavendar blush. I tried EVERYWHERE!
I can't believe there are only two reviews on these tweezers! I work in a waxing salon and the estheticians only use Tweezerman. I really have never been impressed by those in the first place and I went on a mission to find better ones. I was told by a MAC artist that the Pro Tweezers will be BETTER than Tweezerman. He was right. They are WAYYYY better. I will be telling my friends all about this!
I have acrylic gel nails and normally my nail polish doesn't chip at all on synthetic nails. I have trouble getting nail polish to dry and I work with computers all day and night.. so if I want to change my color, I feel as if I can't use the computer all day! So, I heard about this top coat on ebay as being the best. I found it at Target in the Professional Nail section of cosmetics and purchased it at $9.98. I found this to be pretty expensive for a clear top coat. I even have trouble buying OPI at $7 dollars! I wanted to give this top coat a whirl since I heard so much about it on here and I have ZERO time for drying. It's pretty thick like honey, but it def. makes my nails look awesome. It dried my nails in about 60 seconds. I was able to touch nail to nail and they didn't stick! I am typing this right now with no issues! I took off one point because I think I like a higher shine, but for drying time, it's perfect for me.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
BeautyFiend1976 4/12/2006 3:08:00 AM
This is the best eyeshadow primer I have ever purchased. I have used a lot of primers, and this one is the best yet. I dot on a few spots on the eyelid and pat it in, it fills in my lids rough spots and helps my shadow blend a lot better than it ever has. I've tried MAC paints and I hated them. They were too heavy and my shadow still creased with use of that product. God, I love this product.
Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose

I am a HUGE fan of the Benefit Cosmetics Repair Aromatherapy Oil and I was running out of it.. freaking out.. and they no longer sell it in the stores or online. So, I looked around and I found this product. It smells exactly the same and feels the same.. works the same.. I have found my replacement product! I am happy! It smells like lavendar and feels like silk. I wear it at night only. Try it out! It's very nice.
Lip Treatments -BeneFit Cosmetics - Color Plump Pencils [DISCONTINUED]
BeautyFiend1976 3/27/2006 1:52:00 PM
I would just like to leave another comment about this product. The plumping action isn't supposed to be instant. Tri-peptides are an ingredient found in expensive face creams that plump up the skin so that wrinkles fill out. That is the ingredient found in Color Plump. It takes 30 days to work properly with use everyday. It's a plumping treatment that does not sting the lips like other products (Lip Venom, etc.) I don't really like makeupalley for product reviews because most of these posts are by people who have little knowledge of what they have purchased.. or how to use it.
Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - You're Bluffing [DISCONTINUED]

I purchased this product for my mother who has extreme sundamage which has left her cheeks very red and veiny. She uses this product in conjunction with the You Rebel tinted moisturizer or the Non-Fiction foundation. First, she draws small cat whiskers on the cheeks, a few lines across the forehead and down the nose, a dot on the chin. Then she blends her foundation in with it. It works really great and you can barely see the redness anymore. She uses it everyday!
Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow-Moondoggie
BeautyFiend1976 3/27/2006 1:29:00 PM
I am wearing this eyeshadow at this very moment and I have had it for maybe 4 years and it still works great. The only problem is that this formula is the old creaseless cream, Benefit no longer uses the same ingredients that the old cream shadows had. This color is wonderful, especially when used with a smoky plum or black shadow in the crease. The only thing I can say is that I heard a rumor that the old creaseless formula may be coming back. =)
LOVE LOVE LOVE Dallas! Yee haw! I ride into the sunset everyday wearing this beauty. I love the small brush when used with Dandelion, but for Dallas, I like to use my Sugar bronzing brush that I purchased at Sephora. I use this product on my very pale skin (NW15) and it works wonderful. Gives me just enough warmth and color, but not really brown like the Hoola powder. I use this also as a quick eyeshadow. I get many compliments when wearing this product because it also makes my skin appear smooth and shimmery. Try it out! Benefit box prodcuts last for at least 2 years, so I love the lightweight cardboard boxes. Very eco-friendly!
Scrubs -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bum Deal [DISCONTINUED]
BeautyFiend1976 3/27/2006 1:13:00 PM
Yum. The smell of this scrub is delicious! Keeps my legs very smooth, I also use it on my elbows and arms, but don't really have a need for it on the bum. I have tried many body scrubs and this is the best one I've tried so far! Give it a whirl!
I am a HUGE fan of Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara and have never tried the classic green and pink tube that I keep hearing about. I finally gave in and tried it.. I disliked it so much that I can't believe it's even considered one of the best. The formula seemed very runny, and the brush was pretty small. I got most of the formula on my top lid, eventhough I very carefully applied it while looking down into a mirror. I will surely stick with my Lash Stylist and hope that it never becomes discontinued.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]

All I have to say.. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give it like 10 stars or 5 kisses.. whatever the highest rating is, that's what this mascara gets. I've been using makeup since 1987, and I've tried a lot of mascaras in my day. The ones I was using before last stylist was Estee Lauder's magnascopic, which was wonderful stuff, but very expensive (I think 23 dollars) and I was also using Benefit's Bad Gal lash, which I love, but I can't handle the big brush. I saw Lash Stylist gleaming at me within the drugstore walls and I had to try it out for the price. I LOVE the brush. It's not for the faint-hearted. It's like a S&M toy and it hurts bad if you poke yourself with it.. but it makes your lashes SOOO freaking huge that you will scream! My mom was so amazed at how big my lashes got after just one coat. The trick is to not let your lashes dry before you apply the additional coats, it even came with a little instruction pamplet to show you how to use it. I really do say TRY it if you want very dramatic, fake-looking lashes. It's very Saturday night-out for cocktails. I will be purchasing again and again.
Moisturizers -Osmotics - Blue Copper Firming Elasticity Repair
BeautyFiend1976 8/12/2005 2:19:00 AM
Day one and I am LOVING it. My face has never been smooth like this before and my pores are virtually gone. Just one day and I saw results with this product. I will update my review if anything changes. I used it under my foundation this morning and it looked extremely smooth. Gotta give this line a shot! I also heard that Oprah loves it!
