Pressed Powders -Catrice - Skin Finish Compact Powder
BeautifulBay 11/12/2012 10:33:00 PM
After trying out Maybelline's Fit Me line I was desperate to use anything else besides those products. I went to my local drugstore and purchased this product on a limb. I have number 050 Caramel Beige and so far I think this product is a great drugstore find. I am giving this product 4 lippies because it is effective, affordable, and for someone like myself accessible. I took off a lippie because I feel like the packaging is flimsy, the product does not carry a of variety in colors, and the overall quality is not the best The color is a bit too dark on me which is my fault so that has not affected the score. I have normal skin and can see that by the end of the day my skin is a tab bit oily. Nothing a blotting sheet can't fix. I would recommend this product for someone who is starting off with makeup or who is looking for an affordable drugstore powder. I would purchase this product again but when given the opportunity would upgrade to something else. The color variety is also not very large and I may just fall into that little group of people who have a hard time finding foundations. Overall a hit for me :-)

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk
BeautifulBay 11/12/2012 5:46:00 PM
I first got into NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils after seeing many beauty bloggers rave about them. I was intrigued by the variety of colors this line had to offer and the first must have was Milk. I went a little crazy and bought 12 Jumbo Eye Pencils in one trip because they were buy 2 get one free at Ulta. Milk is my most used pencil out of the 12 that I own. It is very versatile and most often use it as a eyebrow highlight as well as putting a bit in my tear ducts, I feel that alone this product does not succeed, You need to put some eye shadow over it with a primer. I would recommend this pencil as the first NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil someone would try. It is the best and most useful. I went back and forth between giving this product 3 and 4 lippies simply because although I do love the product, the packaging is awful. The caps are really cheap and tend to crack if you press a little too hard. I am to the point where the product no longer has a point, its flat. They changed the pencil to be packaged in plastic so sharpening will be a pain. I guess I will just purchase a lip brush or something because sharpening I feel will waste a lot of product. I would love this product more when they would convert the pencil into a mechanical pencil. I am just not a fan of depotting :-( but overall I reccommend this to anyone out there. It was around $2 when I bought them I believe (sale) so there is really not much to lose.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
BeautifulBay 11/5/2012 1:22:00 AM
When I first started to use makeup I always heard "First thing you want to do is take your UDPP and apply it to your eyes". I never understood what the big deal was and being as I was 14/15 I didn't know where you could buy one so I always ended up with drugstore primers. I thought, eh good enough but when I was around 18 I discovered Sephora and Ulta. Never looked back. The price was just ridiculous for me. I was hesitant but I purchased UDPP when the new bottles were made. I was looking for the new bottles and had trouble finding them but I am very happy I waited. I have had this primer for a little over a year now and I am still good. I use this primer every time I use eyeshadow and couldn't be happier. I would call this an investment and recommend anyone to buy this product. do yourself and your makeup a favor! I remember being a teen and not knowing why my stupid eyeshadow would smear into my tear ducts but now I know why! And those days are over! I gave it 3 lippies on the price because I feel like the price you pay and the amount you get is fair.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Each Peach Massage Bar
BeautifulBay 11/5/2012 1:03:00 AM
I just recently went to Lush for the first time and received a huge chunk of an Each Peach bar for free along with my purchase. I was intoxicated with the scent and soon as I smelled it I was in love but couldn't justify buying it along with an exfoliator, so the sample was nice. I use Each Peach as a lotion. After I get out of the shower I use it all over and I apply it to my face after cleansing and exfoliating. I love the scent. The scent is much more reminiscent to lemons rather than peach but it is so delicious! I love the way it applies to my skin. I also love how my skin feels afterwards when the product has set into my skin. It lost a lippie because for starters it takes a bit for it to set in. You can't just apply it and go because it is very oily and needs a little to dry. Secondly, I understand the point of putting it in a bar but it makes the application process a little messy. The bar melts when it comes into contact with heat and when I apply it over by body I have a little oil pool in my hand. I would wish there would be a wrapper or something that would help to apply and or a better storage method. I know you can purchase one of the tin cans but that is why I cannot give it 5 lippies. I will purchase the full bar when I am out though because I really do love the way it makes my skin feel. My boyfriend even uses it as an aftershave for when he shaves too quickly and it burns.

Cleansers -LUSH - Let the Good Times Roll
BeautifulBay 11/5/2012 12:48:00 AM
I bought Let The Good Times Roll from my local Lush in Germany. It cost around 10€ which is expensive, especially for someone as cheap as myself. Along with this I received a Each Peach sample, but I must say LTGTR is beyond amazing. The scent reminds me of being in a carnival, which I do not mind, and I find myself finding tiny specs of popcorn during application. I have noticed my face looking brighter and flawless after I use. I use this 3 times a week and will never go back to cheapo drugstore exfoliator. I recommend this product for anyone who wants soft and yummy smelling skin.

Liquid -Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation
BeautifulBay 10/17/2012 1:53:00 PM
The price of this product caught my eye. I always use Revlon, but sadly my color was out of stock so I went ahead and bought this product..worst mistake EVER: I have never broken out due to makeup, I hardly ever have a pimple. This foundation broke me out after a week of wearing it AND it made me so oily! I felt dirty wearing it. When I answered my cell phone my phone would be covered in foundation. I couldn't touch my face without having product on my fingers. Worst foundation ever, do not recommend.
