Eye Shadow -MAC - Off the Radar Pigment
BeatriceKiddo 8/12/2007 6:36:00 PM
I'm an Orange lover and I wasn't disappointed. I prefer this used with MAC Mixing Medium and can wear it all by it self. It's a truer Orange with the slightest coral undertone. And in the jar seems to have a spectrum of red and rainbow sparkle. If I wear to compare it to Firespot (a newly released L/E MAC e/s) I prefer Firespot for it's dimention. But they are different so if you can't live with out your oranges it's worth it to have this in your collection. This does look awesome paired with Copperized Pigment also from Rushmetal Summer 2007 Collection, and Saturnal MAC l/e Moonbathe, so in other words a deep brown olive color. I'm going to use the rec's from other reviewers and see how awesome this looks with a nice taupe and and MAC Smut + Saturnal today....

Eye Shadow -MAC - Smut Eyeshadow
BeatriceKiddo 8/12/2007 6:25:00 PM
I'm super in love with this color. It's a WARM Charcoal dark grey w/ a tinge of fushia/red pearl + goes with anything on me. Most blacks even the really good ones have a cool undertone so when blending they can look and have a tinge of navy hue to them. And with Smut I can get a super dark taupe charcoal grayed black with NO sign of blue anywear. Smut is a must have and like I mentioned can be matched with anything on my color chart (warm shadows) and compliments the light blue and green eyes very well. I love to smoke this out using a true taupe or even MAC Bronze e/s. I really can't believe this is catagorized as a 'velvet' texture. Because out of all of MAC's velvets this is the best and nothing like the others. I would say this has the same texture as MAC Claire De Lune which also doesn't seem to catagorized under the right texture. It's a buttery soft frost texture look - soooo better than a frost texture with a very simular payout! Ok I'm done, LOL. This is one of those shadows I'll buy up over and over as need be.

Crème -Smashbox - Conversion Cream to Powder foundation
BeatriceKiddo 8/3/2007 2:21:00 AM
I gotta say this isn't that bad. 3# matches my skin pretty perfectly and I have some great trouble finding a match. If it helps I'm fairly light and use self tanner and so my face has got to blend. I start by wetting my 190 MAC foundation brush to dampin it, and then tap the brush into the compact foundation a WEE bit goes really far (I tap it 3 times at most for my entire face and jaw neck line. And this way I get a really nice cover but it doesn't look cakey. It smoothes out my completion and texture and no longer have to use concealor at all it looks like a good tinted moisturizer/ foundation after I've applied it. I then use LM trans. loose power to set and then immediatly blot my face. This stuff is a bit too moisturizing probley for anyone esspecially if you use a moisturizer like you're suppose to every moring. Then I finish my makeup and blot once more and I'm set for the day. Still there's not one foundation I have used that I had not had to blot within the day so I'm not too upset with it. I may buy it again just b/c I know it will work for me. This has not made me breakout and I suggest never using the sponge that comes with this...

Eye Shadow -MAC - Gold Mode

I'm updating this post when I've used this more, but I'm already in love with my sample. I used this wet right away - since I have to see a swatch wet. (I've swatched and posted in my profile/ picture gallery). And this is so beautiful! It's a tan champagne gold then duo chromes a white gold.

Lipstick -MAC - Thrills (Rushmetal 2007)
BeatriceKiddo 7/23/2007 8:12:00 PM
This is one of the four Rushmetal 2007 Summer Collection lipsticks. I was worried hearing the MUA board reviewers speak about the overspray that exists on this... This lipstick gives me a very wearable rosy pink copper frosted lippie. It does really enhance this collection's pigments. YES I was hoping for a real METAL lippie like Moonbathe's Sunmetal (really one of my favorite lipsticks). Hey, if you want to give it a more metal exposure use a metal copper eyeliner like UD Lucky 24/7 pencil as a lip liner. Also Golden Soft Lipgelee, that is more of a copper finish lip gloss & will enhance this to a copper you may be going for. I actually think I'm going to swap mine, b/c I just don't wear pinks. And the overspray bubbled on everyone I talked to (before they got it in the store or in the mail). MAC let's quite with the overspray please, it's false advertising, thanks.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cocomotion Pigment (Rushmetal)
BeatriceKiddo 7/21/2007 7:15:00 AM
I really thought I'd LOVE this pigment but I don't. This is from 2007 Summer 'Rushmetal' Collection. Swatched it is nice, but on me it's not worth keeping for 10-15 years, nor does it do for me what my collection of shadows and pigments do. It's just not original enough for me. I can see alot of woman loving this and it being the Old Gold they always wanted so I'm not trashing this, I'm just not keeping it. It's just as described a dirty gold with olive undertones and even sparkle but dominatly warm gold sparkle. When I swatched this with Copperized (also a Rushmetal Pigment) it looked awesome. But I also prefer Copperized with Rushmetal pigment. As hard as I'm trying, I just can't give this one an outstanding review. If you love this, which you just might, since there isn't a pigment just like it, do enjoy it for me!! UPDATE: I tried this once again and ALMOST kept it, then I compared the color to my Rose Gold Metal Pig. and I just couldn't justify having this much of a simular color.even though the textures are a world apart. The biggest difference is the WARM slightly olive undertone which in no way means this is anything like Old Gold. I have swatches in my profile photo gallery under 'Beauty Products' if you're interested.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Rushmetal Pigment (Rushmetal)
BeatriceKiddo 7/21/2007 7:04:00 AM
I'm definatly loving this high metallic dimentional foil copper from 2007 Summer 'Rushmetal' Collection. It's easy to blend and the pay out on me is great. This is smoother than I expected. It's a copper with a gold undertone. I was a bit worried that it would be gritty like Frost pigment but to me it's not. I'm definatly pleased with this one yet I'm still waiting for a Copper pigment as smooth as say Coco Beach. I've already tried it as a lipgloss and it's one wild color! It comes out a burnt copper (I have pictures up in my profile of this and swatches w/ mixing medium). This also works and looks great with MAC water based mixing medium (which I couldn't live without). Needless to say this is a multi functional item I'll cherish the whole way through. UPDATE: I've finally received swatches from a member on Specktra.net (thankful she answered my plee!) of the difference of Copper Sparkle & Rushmetal pigment! And there is difference. Rushmetal is a lighter golden copper while Copper Sparkle is a truer redder copper. See these pictures in my profile photo gallery under 'Beauty Products'. And thanks to **bebs** on Specktra! EDIT/ UPDATE: I ordered Copper Sparkle Pigment, and am returning Rushmetal only b/c I prefer Red Copper over a golden orange copper.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Copperized Pigment (Rushmetal)
BeatriceKiddo 7/21/2007 6:47:00 AM
It really blows my mind but this IS my favorite Pigment from 2007 Summer Collection ' Rushmetal'. Is a dried herb green with copper and green flecks. It's a wonderful texture and the color is killer on my light blue eyes. I'm a copper L-O-V-E-R and lets just say this is the best deep oilve green EVER. I have pictures up in my profile of a dry swatch and with MAC Water based mixing medium if you're interested in seeing them.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Coco Beach pigment
BeatriceKiddo 7/20/2007 12:02:00 AM
I need to share my findings! with some pictures for you all, but first my review. I'm in love with this color, there is not one pigment I love more, and sadly right now I only have a sample - and the stuff is $gold$ to some people. SO I figured out how to make a dupe - MAC Mythology e/s w/ MAC Bronze e/s over the top!! Please see my profile's picture gallery for lost of photos and comparisons in may lights and angles. They're under Beauty Products. I still haven't killed my lemming for an entire jar though!

Sunscreen -Clarins - Sun Wrinkle Control Cream Ultra Protection SPF 30
BeatriceKiddo 7/16/2007 5:13:00 PM
I really wanted to like this. The only reason I gave it a 2 was b/c it did not give my SS burn (irritation). With every HE SS I try I'm excited and hopefully but this let me down & greased me out right away and had no hope with even powder foundation, transparent powder, and numerous blotting sessions. I just looked oily. I know I am not naturally this way but do need protective moisture through out the day - hence a good SS or day cream. I prefer my Obagi SS over any I've tried so far. I can use it plus LM Original Primer and eyecream and have a perfect skin PH all day w/ NO blotting sessions and this is summer after all.

Not impressed, not a bit. I got a sample of this and put it on my face - at first it was fine then I could get the stuff off w/ water - yuck. I had to use a seperate cleanser 3 times to remove it. It was like putting vasaline on my face than attempting to remove it. This might be great to remove e/s if you total screwed up and want to redo it but this isn't a two in one at all.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment - Frozen White
BeatriceKiddo 7/14/2007 7:35:00 PM
I usely wear very warm colors. What I do with this is do a warm taupe matte smoky eye (like three diff colors) and wash (tap) Frozen white over the entire eye area - looks awesome. I tried this with mixing medium and even though most of it applys well it, cakes up - maybe I really just need to stir an amount into it. This one is so original and I love it!! This is practically clear and reflects an intense Violet blue like Blacklight on white. Dry however it's really sparkly with the duo chrome flash- my fav way to apply.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bronze Eyeshadow

I'm extremly pleased with this color! Perfect for light blue eyes. I love this with just about any warm color but prefer to use it to smoke out MAC Smut e/s and to shadow my bottom lid.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Vapour
BeatriceKiddo 7/1/2007 3:39:00 AM
I think one will last me quite a while. I just really don't use it much. I do pair it with Digit but still have only worn this look once. It's one of those really off combos for me. I do like it. And wish it went better with other colors I wear which actually tend to be very warm. This gives me an blacklight-violet pale wash. Very unique.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Frost - Saturnal
BeatriceKiddo 7/1/2007 2:56:00 AM
I have a hard time wearing blacks but this is like a dream for me - being a dark olive brown undertone. I really thought I should only have one of these, now I'm seriously reconsidering. However this isn't a VP so it will last a long time I think the consistancy is perfect and the payoff is super. And love the gold frost. I actually paired this, tonight, with quite a few different e/s's but all Moonbathe like. This looks awesome with Full Flame on the outter half of lid, Pink Bronze Pigment all over the lid and washed over Full Flame, then Saturnal smoking from the crease up into Bamboo w/ Claire De Lune highlighting the brow - in a simplistic break down (all MAC BTW). I enjoy this shadow alot and can only hope they'll repromote other wise I'd like to swap for another in the future. I have bright blue eye and a medium tan skin tone. PS this goes heavenly with Bamboo, and Claire De Lune.
